0:14 as a Hornets/Lamelo fan, I’m not mad at him not being on the list. There is a lot of great young talent in our league. I think Melo’s a stud and a perineal All Star, but that’s all dependent on his health. So far he’s struggled to stay on the court. Hopefully he solves that problem, and has a long and prosperous career.

I’m personally skewing Doncic #1 cause Offense is more sexy than defense and the signature moves, crazy plays, and cerebral play really is appealing.
Similarly he might have a Steph effect where kids start to play more like Luka because of his lack of athleticism due to his game being less about natural gifts(being that it’s more attainable).
Besides he’s already proven to be an MVP caliber player and has godly stats.
Still it’s a toss up imo.

Watched another vid from DKM regarding the upcoming face of the NBA and he put a lot of emphasis on international players being exempted from this discussion purely because they're not "American." I wonder how much of a factor that is considering we have Embiid, Giannis & Jokic (granted they're older) as the top players in the league but they never felt like the face of the NBA (ofc, Lebron KD & Curry are still competing so that makes sense)
Doncic & Wemby are the 2 players imo that can break that perception. They're too talented not to be marketed across the league and their names alone sell tickets. If we're going with the American narrative, I feel like Ant has the potential to become the face of the NBA. His personality alone and MJ comparisons pretty much align him with that.

    • @whatshorts

Trae may have the rare unsalvageable head. His hairline is, in fact, pretty much dusted, but he gets the hair pressed to his forehead. Plus, it's super thin everywhere. So, unfortunately, he may have to embrace looking like a bald 13 year old.
