When I started following baseball in 1989 the Oakland Coliseum was a considered a premier baseball facility being at least the equivalent of a Dodger Stadium. A renovated Oakland Coliseum would be considered Fenway Park in 2060... that is if this actually happens and they rip out Mt Davis.

It going to do none of those things. The City still has to retire the debt for Mount Davis which they are still paying off. The sale will let them retire most of the debt that is still owned. It will do nothing for city services. If you report on something at least get your facts right.

Ballpark a lot more character and personality than 60 years of the Coliseum.

118 degrees? are you joking. It rarely gets above 110 and mostly is in the 90s to low 100s. This isn't death valley. Newsflash, the A's used to be the triple A team here for years, and the Giant's triple A has been here a few years. Nobody is complaining. It is a great field for baseball and great weather for baseball too. The bonus is the fans won't be robbed blind while in the ball park and their cars will be intact when the game is over, unlike in Oakland.

Vegas wants its own expansion team not the worst managed team in baseball.

The A''s have a great history and usually have had great players in every decade that I've been alive(almost 5). Oakland fans would support the team if they had reasonable chances of winning. This is common in a lot of markets, St.Louis, Kansas City, Pittsburg, and Vegas. 5 or 7 years of a team that doesn't win shit and trades their best players, it won't matter how nice the stadium is. There's plenty of shit to do in LV other than go see a team lose.

The fact that 99% of the national sports media supports the MLB rule changes is proof that Major League Baseball is nowhere close to being a legitimate sports league.

There are several examples of teams sharing a ballpark. The older ones are in Philadelphia (A's and Phillies) and St. Louis (Cardinals and Browns) but that ended 70 years ago. A more recent example was 50 years ago when the Mets and Yankees shared the natural grass field of Shea Stadium for two seasons while Yankee Stadium was being reconstructed. The science of playing fields has improved exponentially since then. There is no doubt that a well engineered and carefully maintained natural grass field could be used.

The reason he probably go sac is the television deals and that theirs a fan base their while Vegas is mostly a dodgers town and they probably wouldn’t care being that Vegas is a transient town and people come and go mostly for the casinos. It’s also a summer game and Vegas is hot in the summer. The best move is the A’s in sac and build or remodel sutter field.
