Whether you need a little travel teaser to help decide where to go, or just a quick burst of scenery to brighten your day-or night, you have found the right channel.
I am a head cook at a middle school, aka, a lunch lady. My husband Dave and I and our dog Sadie, love to explore with our travel trailer in tow, while also experiencing alternative vacation stays-always with camera in hand. I’ve enjoyed photography and taking home videos for decades, but uploading to UA-cam is an all new thing. I am learning. Won’t you join me as I grow?
Welcome, to a special place where family, friends and others from around the world can view these mini movie minutes from our various day trips, travels, hikes or whatever strikes my fancy to share of this big beautiful world of ours. I love creating and sharing no-frills footage, with nothing but the view to tell the story. I’m glad you’re here. Whether you dropped in to view one or many of my videos, Enjoy. Because nothing ever happens by accident.♥️

Taking the Trail: An Up Close Look at Mount Rushmore
Mount Rushmore is an absolute marvel of engineering, and causes a nearly unspeakable experience when observed in person. While Dave planned most of this trip, we both agreed to all of the locations, and this one was near the top of the list. We didn’t even plan on being here on the 4th of July, but that’s just the way the itinerary planning worked out, and where it placed us on the calendar.
On this day in particular, we thought it would be crowded and overrun with elbow to elbow tourists. And while there were many people from all over the world visiting that day, it was actually quite empty. It was pleasantly active, but the big crowds just weren’t there.
A few things were happening for the 4th, including the Native American dancing, presidential actors, and there was supposed to be a flyover… but it did not happen. We waited for hours, but the thunderstorms I am thinking held them off. Bummer. But, it was a leisurely day, with puffy white clouds and blue skies, with an occasional thunder shower sneaking in to reassure us that the afternoons always hold unpredictable weather.
There were scores of folks dressed in red white and blue, celebrating this special day at one of the most famous monuments in the world. I had parts of the Presidential Trail all to myself, and it was an incredible experience. I hope to bring that sense of rare and peaceful alone-ness to you in this video. A moment of reflection, and although short, (because I am on vacation, you know..) I think it does just that. I hope you think so too. Thanks for joining me today and taking a couple minutes to watch and read, this is turning out to be quite the trip, and one I will cherish forever. Enjoy this one, and I’ll catch ya next time!♥️

Переглядів 89День тому
Where do I begin? To describe Going to the Sun Road, or any of its surrounding locales, is almost impossible. The beauty here is almost overwhelming. And the day we happened to go, there had been five days of thunderstorms and pouring rain, but our day was set to be sunny and clear… and absolutely beautiful. The June weather was kind of crazy this year, bringing late season snow and road closur...

Beautiful animals, I wonder what they taste like tho?
I’ve had moose sausage. It’s pretty good, actually.😉
@@michelemcdanieltravels Can you compare it to something?
@@CASH-THE-NERD Tastes like most any other sausage, but as with any game, pork is added. And it was tender.
@@michelemcdanieltravels interesting, I’m sure I’ll get the chance to try some at some point.
Geese are on a mission ! 😂
立髪のある熊は凶暴らしい…🐻
Phenomenal work, this place is on my bucket list! Fantastic presentation 👏👏
@@ervinslens Thank you! It really is something to see with your own eyes!

Garden of The Gods, it's just up the road from here
Garden of the gods. Awesome climbing
Agreed. Stood and watched them for a bit.😉
Beautiful falls there Michele ~ Anna 👍
@@FXWalesAnnaAlf Thank you!
Michele this was fantastic, this national park is wonderful and your filming captured it beautifully, it was so clear as you drove, it seemed like we were in the car with you 🙂The mountains are beautiful topped with snow and it seemed like you were on the edge of the road driving, and in parts the snow looked like icing ! Fantastic view of the lake and boats. This was so good to watch and very relaxing ~ Anna 👍👏
Such a beautiful comment, so glad you enjoyed it… Thank you!
Great video! Beautiful scenery. Your journey was well photographed and edited.
Thank you so kindly!
Amazing, absolutely and honestly amazing! What a spectacular natural beauty!
It is a wonder to behold!
Great music, beautiful country, ❤️🤍💙🦅👍💯
WHY? Is it called; Bad Lands? I don't see anything bad, do you??😮😅
The Badlands of South Dakota are named for the challenges they present to travel, including steep terrain, wet clay, lack of water, and extreme temperatures😉
❤
You just drove passed a few made guys.
Roadside Bar & Grill, yer the one I want to come to Kapark n Work for me , I remembered that ,peace from Upstate NY
The wreck of the Peter Iredale. 1902. Everyone on board survived and she was scrapped on purpose as opposed to being unbeached and towed back out to sea. Whats there to be sad about miss?
God bless
Very cool 👍😊❤❤
Awsome
ITS ON AMAZON
Looks like the Badlands👍
Nice video. Good channel.😉 Subscribe and like from Germany.😉 Many greetings🤗
Welcome! And thank you so much!😊
This is beautiful, absolutely beautiful panoramic views! What a place 👏👏
Thank you! It really is! It is an amazing part of the U.S.A.!
Oh yes I sure would with cameras and lenses , wow how beautiful!
My daughters are in Montana now.. what beautiful pictures were sent to me. Some of them actually I would swear are postcards. Absolutely phenomenal!
It is definitely picture postcard perfect… especially when you get sunshine between the storms!
Stop at any gas stations or tourists sights?
Where is this place located at?
East Glacier National Park. Wildlife is more like bear, moose, goats and marmots than bison. Gas is available.
Ever stopped and imagine what it looked like with herds of Buffalo's and other wildlife that once roam in the area?
Wonder if these mountains have any legends tied to them?
What native American tribes live in the area?
Blackfeet
Just think about what this land looked like before any white people stepped foot into this area?
How did you do this while you were driving?
I was the passenger😉
Great video Michelle. Thank you for sharing this lovely hike. Nice music choice 👍
Thank you so much!
Nice..where is this located?
Franklin Falls Washington
Absolutely majestic, what a lovely place! 👏👏
Thank you, my friend!
