Just the extra points that I can give to Gayle will be his story, I think as a whole Gael is a better character, not saying Mesmer is bad, but he is best second. Mesmer is an abandoned but loyal child, who gets used by his mother. Gael is a man who left for a greater cause but that same cause made him loose control over his goal, and he end up becoming a monster that we eventually fight, he is the true tragic hero. That's what I'm saying I've played every fromsoft game besides ds3 and bb which I hear the fans glaze saying it's peak but when I look at some of the bosses they seem like good mini bosses in terms of moveset compare to elden ring bosses with their mix up game

We need demon souls dlc, like they already have the area and the archstone. All they have to do is add enemies and a boss and boom, they could sell it for 10 dollars and would probably sell several million copies, so that’s tens of millions of dollars and all they have to do is finish a project that is already 70% complete
I might get burned for this, but I honestly feel like Ludwig is kinda overrated. Of Orphan, Maria and him, I've always thought he is the weakest gameplay wise, but the one that puts the biggest spectacle.
Nah... Most people consider her to be at least a top 5 boss in the DLC. Although if we are talking about underappreciated bosses... It would be Romina.
Bayle gets overrated because of his peak visual effects but visual effects doesnt determine everything. Where demon prince laxk visually, they make up for it with their very good mechanical boss design
The free hate on dark souls 2, your worst boss is an actually good duo boss... Blue smelter is a good boss too, you are puting pvpblade from ringed city above them, ridiculous
@@dylananderson2979 Mesmer over Gael has room for debate I’ll admit. But Bayle has everything midir has got, but more and better. In terms of spectacle Bayle is far above midir. I think Bayle is in contention for the most visually impressive boss fight in the series, and while Midir puts on a show but Bayle is in a different league. As for the actual fight, Bayle takes everything that made Midir and Placidusaxs great, combined it and improved it. You can focus the head like Midir but the rest of body takes decent damage too. His moves leave the head open for attacks, but unlike Midir who does the same 4 combo strings throughout the whole fight, Bayle can mix his up for more variety. And they blend well into each other because they are so well animated and telegraphed. Bayle also just has a lot more attacks from which to choose from (I think he has the most in the game). And most importantly, the lock on is so much better here than with Midir. No matter where Bayle jumps to the camera will follow without breaking. Sometimes the player ends up under his neck but the neck is see through from the inside and most of his attack have Bayle rearing his head back at the beginning, whipping the camera back to focusing on him.
@@mannytprimeministerofthemanate u kinda selling me on bayle but I think the ost for midir and arena is still both better and u right midir does the same stupid claw attack too much with fire at the end but phase 2 kinda fixes it
@@LuM4rex this one is more open to debate and there’s more baias involved, but to me Gaels attacks and combos feel a lot more rigid and limited than Mesmer. Like in phase one Gael legit has 4 moves and the most you have to worry about is whether he does one sword swing or two. In contrast Mesmer has way more attack strings and mix ups. While Mesmer still has simple bread n butter ( his thrust and swing combo) he has a much wider flow chart and can mix in his fire for even more mix ups. Phase 2 Gael is really why the fight. Here he has a some more attack and you have to worry about his cape when dodging. But again, he is still limited to combo string. They always start and end the same way and he rarely does any mix up. Even his wild spinning attack is mostly fanfare. Majority of the attack fly right over your head is you stay still. Gael p2 feels like a simpler version of Mesmer p1. Mesmer p2 integrates the snake attacks in a way that doesn’t get in a way of his p1 moveset, but fills in the gaps that were present. Now he has more ranged attacks (but doesn’t spam them) and more mobility when he transforms. The transformation attacks are especially good because they don’t have shit hit boxes (like another boss in the shadow keep) and leave him vulnerable for a while afterwards. P2 Messmer builds on p1 instead of replacing it like Gael does. TLDR: fighting Gael feels like a well rehearsed dance number while fighting Mesmer is more like two pro dancers doing improv.
Ngl this order is pretty ass, Manus and Fume Knight are INSANELY low. Calling Scadutree Avatar or Putrescent Knight a better boss than those ones is crazy. Also, I hate to say it, but Ludwig is so ludicrously overrated. His first phase is just obnoxiously erratic, and his second phase, while cool, has like 4 moves. He’s great but I just can’t get on board with calling him anything close to perfect. I went through and made my own rankings and Ludwig came in at #13 among DLC bosses. I respect your opinions though, seems you’re pretty positive on a vast majority of the bosses. ALSO MESSMER AT 9??? EXPLAIN YOURSELF!
im one of the few ppl who fully agree on the messmer placement, like him but don't think he is in the upper echelons like gael, ludwig, orphan or lady maria

Seeing you fight SotE bosses in this way and give them bad ratings hurts meentally. Even Bayle - he has lots of problems, but camera issues aren’t one of them. You are almost always supposed to be in front of his head, as he punished you being under him with his fire breath. If you are behind his head, you should lock off and run. It’s actually better to fight most of the time locked off and only lock on during specific attacks or when you want to attack (the later being optional given his low head position). Also, Romina deserves better. She is one of the easier bosses, but her main hitbox being in the middle between the scorpion and the centipede makes her probably the best half-arachnid boss. Her attacks in addition to being gorgeous feel rewarding when you think of better ways to dodge them.

Sometimes a boss don't gotta be hard to be good. Maria is just so fun to fight
@cobracmr4 problem with maria is that once you learn you can just mash l2 anytime she moves, she's not really fun anymore.
@@mannytprimeministerofthemanate u kinda selling me on bayle but I think the ost for midir and arena is still both better and u right midir does the same stupid claw attack too much with fire at the end but phase 2 kinda fixes it
Why is Messmer better than Gael?
Dude sounds like discount penguinz0 lmao 😂😂

Ngl this order is pretty ass, Manus and Fume Knight are INSANELY low. Calling Scadutree Avatar or Putrescent Knight a better boss than those ones is crazy.
Also, I hate to say it, but Ludwig is so ludicrously overrated. His first phase is just obnoxiously erratic, and his second phase, while cool, has like 4 moves. He’s great but I just can’t get on board with calling him anything close to perfect. I went through and made my own rankings and Ludwig came in at #13 among DLC bosses.
