As a Samus main I actually disagree with this video's implication that these techs are important. They're not. The thing that will bring Samus to the next level is optimizing her punish game and ridiculous SDI. She can literally just get hit and win the exchange against most characters and moves. If you play samus on box you can just SDI out of a waveshine and get a free dsmash out of it. This is the future. I also think the #1 most underutilized offensive tool in her kit are charge shot option selects / tech chasing. There are so many situations you can create in which the opponent either gets whacked with a smash attack or shot with the beam with almost no prediction or reaction required. USE THE BEAM PEOPLE AND STOP FIXATING (exclusively) ON THE COOL BOMB TECH
Bomb shield pressure could be good if people can be consistent with it, everything else is way to situational or require setups and praying your opponent don’t touch you/shields/jumps out of the way while you’re “charging up your supermove”😂 Samus definitely can rise up again and I hope she does but what she really needs is just the right player that puts all the pieces together like aMSa did for Yoshi & Jmook did for Sheik👍
Plup is such an unprecedented powerhouse of a player. I think of all thr Samus mains we've seen, only he could bring Samus to this height. Someone will, inevitably

It’s really good, and works positionally. It also goes well with just dropping bombs and landing behind them in neutral, which I think works actually pretty well if you use it right. But I don’t see many samuses using this.
My theory of the Samus downfall is partially a result how much better everyone, especially spacies, got at defensive options like slide off, correct DI, SDI, recovery mixups etc. It was always harder for Samus to win but that's even more true today, she has to work so hard for everything and get kills of ridiculous reads or 2 hit combos. Honestly something similar can be argued for peach (I'll add that this are just my impressions as a low level samus main and Samus fan)
Samus' downfall is due to duck and hugs quitting. Peach's "downfall" (she didn't fall very far) is due to Armada quitting, obviously. So there isn't a top 5 representative for the character anymore, but the non-armada tier peachs are stronger than ever.

I keep having this dream of someone arising to dawn the mantle. I was so sad when Plup switched even though I absolutely loved to watch his Shiek but I always loved the style he brought to Samus. He always looks so much more dead now playing Shiek like he knew he either turned his back on his destiny or at the very least stopped following his true main. We need someone to truly dive into this character because her kit has SO much and people get results only tapping into a fraction of it.

Unironically yes because full power Charge Shot is a very good projectile, and having it more often would mean Samus' rather middling punish game would be a lot better.
Would be super helpful in MUs against fast characters since it can be tricky to find the time to charge there. You could also get the furious charge + taunt combo for extra mental damage.
the problem with samus's bomb shield pressure is its still worse than other characters grabs lol. even if executed perfectly, its a slow startup. the other techs are just gimmicks
With the current rising of the Sheik stock it's the worst time ever to be a Samus main. As for the techniques mentioned, bomb-waveland has been used for years, goomyzoomy is a meme, and deca-grab is too situationally niché. Bomb shield pressure has the most potential probably but it's basically a worse yet harder version of shine shield-pressure. Could still help her dealing with shield-spam. In my eyes Samus' neutral game is pretty solid, what she needs is a better punish game. If she had a yoshi-like punish game then I think she would be a menace.
that why the goomy zoomy is usefull , to extend pressure . it a meme , but like the super wave dash or the weird grab thingy it tool that have use and can be used to further optimised . i'm pretty sure waveshine were thought as memy at first

goomy zoomy far too hard to be consistent, which is important to achieving top-level results. multibomb is shield pressure, but so what? it just marginally changes the shield mixup game. decagrab is also situational, and let's say that someone does it consistently. as soon as you see the zair, you just read it. a neat trick, but ultimately useless for pushing results

the super wavedash is actually really good edgegaurding tech. obviosuly too slow to combo with until high percents.

Charge shot is pretty much a win condition vs puff and peach. Those MUs would be a lot tighter if Samus could charge twice as fast lol
