When my little sister was in boot camp I mailed her a letter and adressed it senior drill sergeant and her name. She wrote back and cursed me out. She said her and her "battle buddy" got "smoked". I took that as she got taken to the pit. Two recruits with one letter. I'm good. OOH RAH!!!

I had 3 drill sgts when I was in back in 1992. One black female, one white male, and one black male drill. Out of all, the female was the scariest. First day she told us " I hate you all. Women bitch too damn much." She was sooo right. She was awesome but scary.

I went through Infantry OSUT at Ft. Benning GA in 1994. As there were no females in the Infantry, there were no female Drill Sergeants.
But...
When I reported to Airborne School, we had a female Black Hat (Airborne Instructor) that was, without a doubt, the meanest, nastiest & toughest human being I ever met during my 24 years in the military.

Drill Sergeants in combat medic AIT had to call us soldier medics back in 2007. Our senior drill sergeant was puerto rican black fellow with a very thick accent so when he said "soldier medic" it sounded like soul mate. He ended every sentence with that address so it always sounded like he had an entire company soul of mates. It never got old.

I am at Ft. Bragg at this time and have been working along side the military for the past 11 years. As a civilian I love these videos because when I see a DS yelling, I immediately stop to see who is about to get smoked. But, as a civilian I had my fair share of getting smoked, especially when a NCO (who was a DS at one time) is in charge when I go overseas!

Lol this reminds TI in basic. Somebody forgot to close the flap and we were taking showers so half the people were naked, and he yelled from outside the door "WHY THE FUCK DO I SEE DICK AND BALLS!". I'm glad he was outside cause I immediately started laughing and I already got in big trouble for that once.

I remember our TI called for the hall to be clear because she was talking to our brother flights TI and our brilliant dorm leader was about to run across the hall in a towel. Out of reflex, I snatched her back. We were the hall right by the door. TI didnt make me push the pavement at all the next day...I saved her alot of paperwork which she told us before we went to tech school😂

Finn ASMR lol man we had a 10 minute phone call every sunday (no texting, no going on the internet, just regular phone call), weren't allowed on the patio at any point ever, and stress cards were never a thing.

here's a good one that happened to my battle who was a little overweight . standing in formation for god knows how long and drill comes out of the barracks, slowly walking past 1st platoon stops right in front of me and I'm thinking aw shit I'm fukd and I don't know why lol. drill looks at me, then turns to my battle and says " private, your face looks like the outcome of a lesbian fist fuck!!! How fat are you!??" and we both made noises trying to not laugh...... and the rest of the day was the hard suck..

I remember when I was in BCT we were all cleaning our weapons after our last FTX and we hear the announcement come on followed by a very eerie silence and the DS came on and said “The block is hot” and after he said that we got raided for contraband because they found contraband in someone’s locker. We all got smoked that day.
Yeeeeaaahhh, had two similar incidents during basic. Because of some medical issues I got restarted all the way back to week one, but first incident, one of the platoons had a fucking granola bar smuggling ring going. I only heard about during the raid, outside the barracks and they were picking it apart. Second time after returning home from christmas break some idiot in my platoon had kept his phone on him. Thankfully we didnt get smoked but we did get woken up at o dark thirty because of that BS
One of our DS' got a new campaign hat (err, "cover", that is) at some point during my OSUT. He put his old one out down range at the 300 line and said that the first private who could hit his hat would get some kinda reward (I forget exactly what he said it would be). At least half of us knew by that point in training that "rewards" don't exist (during week 1, a DS from another troop said he would take "the best" privates out to burger king that weekend. Almost all of them believed him. Yeah, needless to say, there was no burger king, only ridicule for being that stupid and then getting smoked. Surprised anyone believed that when we were only allowed to drink water for the first 4 weeks. Anyway...), but one private, I think our PL actually, went for it and actually hit it and... he got BRUTALLY FUCKING SMOKED for like 3 days straight for daring to deliberately damage a DS' cover. He didn't even try to protest or say something like "but you told us to do it!". He knew almost right after he hit it that he didn't see the trap and that the right answer is... don't EVER fuck with a DS' campaign hat, even if they tell you to.
I think that peivate did was personal.
I went through my Basic at Ft Jackson in 1991-1992. When BRM (Rifle Week) started, our Drill Sergeants called a perfect 40 out of 40 a Hawkeye. They had a deal with every Platoon they led, and that was getting Hawkeye on qualification day got you whatever you wanted from BK, which was a meal with your choice of drink and one small dessert. Some of us thought they were screwing with us, but one guy - just one out of sixty - dropped that 40th target with a prejudice (we had pop-ups, loved them).
That Soldier was missing from the chow line that night, because we saw him come through the back door with that DS and follow him right into his office - BK bags and cups in tow.
Come to find out, he put him in his car, asked him what music he liked and tuned it in, and paid for the entire meal. He said they sat around and bullshit with each other over Whoppers and Hershey pies.
In the end, there were 59 other men that felt a bit jealous but glad for him.

One day while getting smoked, that lasted one hour and a half because some ashholes didn't took their eye pros from their camel back, we were lifting our boots and I turn my neck to see the drill sgt to the eyes and saw *PURE* evil while she was saying "What's up private? Too much? You shouldn't have skipped leg day, we will continue till every stop crying and doing weird noises while excercing. Love that Drill sgt.

I got smoked because I agreed to hold my battle's weapon while he went to the latrine and the fucking guy ended up staying in it for almost 30 minutes. So there's my dumb ass standing there with 2 dummy rifles for almost half an hour doing nothing. Drill Sgt. Haiungs wasn't having any of it

This reminds me of Navy basic training lol.....my head RDC, Petty Officer Kratt was the funniest man I've ever encountered... The only time we were allowed to laugh at his magnificent insults was when he had to walk away from us, oh so hastily to his office to handle some "business"......we all knew he ran off in order to keep us from seeing him laughing at his own comedic genius. Then our sister division across the hall had an RDC that reminded me of Pinky from the movie Next Friday when he confronted Craig in his music store even down to the spin around tapping his feet thing while yelling at a recruit....good memories
