Shouldn't have called the cop stupid then he wouldn't have to stay an hour ass bared on the sidewalk.. Just pissed him off... And frankly he looked smashed
I've worked at several supermarkets and have experience at managerial positions training employees and what I can't figure out is why did absolutely no one who works there go and proactively offer assistance? Every single time I see an elderly person who has trouble seeing or moving around, or someone who is disabled, I walk right up to them with a smile and ask if I could help. That also works incredibly well if you have a reason to think that someone's stealing. Just be super polite and approach them in conversation. They'll think twice about stuffing their pockets or bags when you're right there talking to them.
Who even called the po,ice on him instead of, oh I dont know, maybe offer to help in some way? In honesty if he was just given some time and space. There was no reason at that point to think he was stealing, he was getting his money sorted
It is so saddening to see such a lack of human empathy. Seeing him try to call the police to help proved just how unrecognizable those three uniformed men were as "peace officers". Absolutely outrageous.
It's extremely common and 911 will do NOTHING. They don't correct cops. Cops are blindly followed as the gospel truth until a lawyer comes after them. Dirty cops still have way too many protection to terrorized disabled people....the union...the blue wall of silence....paid keave...early retirement or hop over to a new police force with no consequences for actions. It's disgusting.
Some places in Colorado have teams that go out to interact with mentally ill or disabled people and they don't have firearms. They go out first then call the police if they're needed.
Poor fella didn't even realize they were police. thought they were security. Abhorrent behaviour by those officers and good to hear this "Skeens" was charged.
Way better than this channel that's missing major details. The guy in the first clip is suing the cops, but now the department is suing him back. Claiming defemation of character.
Seeing the disabled man call the police was heartbreaking ...he couldn't believe the people harassing him were police, he had faith that the REAL police would come and help defend him, as police should.
No he was an expert at driving police mad he had even trained his son to. And the man ran into his house so he looked guilty. Also later The policeman had dropped something in the house. and the kid used the law to not let them get their thing.
As someone with social anxiety cops like these scare me because I can't talk for myself due to anxiety and they could just arrest me without me protesting because im too scared to say anything. So messed up
Just remember, you fight them in court, not in person. If they want to wrongfully arrest you, let them. That's just an easy lawsuit for you to win money with.
He says: "You're not the police, you're security!". Mostly because he doesn't believe the police would ever act that way. Now, he knows better. Pigs are evil, they love to hurt the disabled, elderly, and children. You've not seen the worst they can do yet. There is not one good cop in this entire country, because they will ALL back each other up, no matter how brutal, redrumerous or callous the action. Blue Line Terror Troopers.
I only hope the police dept had to pay this man dearly. I have a real soft spot and try to help anyone that has a true disability. This just goes right thru me. The cops should have helped the man instead they act like real POS.
The disabled man, i’ve watched several reports on this. Target called the cops, because the man was “taking too long” at the register. It is completely disgusting that not 1 person offered to help him.
its a lot better in the uk as a disabled person myself with a working dog, sometimes i cant verbally communicate or write for a while. i have always been offered help by the store staff or the general public. i have never had the cops called on me. the staff help with payments and bag up the shopping. what i saw in that target to that man sickened me and made me angry. it was clear all he needed was time and help which isnt illegal in any country. there was no logic or compassion here. i hope something gets done to the staff and the cops in this situation.

In Australia, we do not have sobriety tests because they do not determine if a person is drunk or not. We have breath analysis, testing equipment. Field sobriety test should be illegal.
According to what I found online, participating in Field Sobriety Tests is entirely voluntary, and you can decline to participate. As it is a test of sobriety, by definition it is not used against people charged with DUI [as the purpose of the test is to collect evidence that you've committed DUI], so cops have no right to make you perform for them.
That first officer is dangerous and I’m not being dramatic. From the very start of the interaction, he is being condescending, lying, and very obviously trying to rile up the young man. He craves discourse because he wants to abuse his “power”. The driver was calm, cooperative and respectful but the officer was posturing and looking for conflict. I’m so tired of this entire institution.
Ehh I wouldn't go that far.. Just like any industry you have people that abuse their power.. I wouldn't close all hospitals because a few physicians are practicing malpractice.. It was obviously cruel and unusual punishment. It's the same as a cattle prod. Which violates international law. Several 100 people with bad hearts have been killed by tasers. Plus the fact that the police were the only ones violating any laws.
Even as a police officer he has never been a servant to the public. To do that he has to do his job and be competent at it. In this case he was not doing his job and is that rare cases that he has done his job by pure accident he has not been competent. He is way to arrogant and sure of his own intelligence that is severely lacking.
Apparently Adolf Hitler liked wearing lederhosen in the winter; boasting on August 12, 1942, how "having to change into long trousers was always a misery to me. Even with a temperature of 10 below zero, I used to go about in lederhosen. The feeling of freedom they give you is wonderful. Abandoning my shorts was one of the biggest sacrifices I had to make… Anything up to five degrees below zero I don't even notice. Quite a number of young people of today already wear shorts all the year round; it is just a question of habit. In the future, I shall have an SS Highland Brigade in lederhosen." My father was an old school Nashville cop from the mid 60s to the early 90s. The rough parts of town were very dangerous. He was hard as nails, had a rough childhood, and served in Vietnam with the 101st Airborne. He was definitely not the type that you wanted to tangle with. However, he detested these types of officers. He always said that they were cowards with a badge and a gun.
Just a question but did he do anything to try to stop these other officers who were bullies with Badges and guns? Or did he just b**** about it? When he joined the force, Nashville had just become one of the first metropolitan forces. The sheriff that had controlled the county before that was known to be corrupt. He and his partner were involved in investigating aspects of this. The sheriff was still in office in charge of corrections and had many corrupt deputies that were loyal. Some of these deputies joined the police department as they wanted to maintain their law enforcement powers. Some of these former deputies were in high positions within the police department. His partner was keeping some evidence at his home until they could turn it over to the TBI. Just like a movie script, his home was burglarized and nothing taken but the incriminating documents. However, the sheriff was eventually indicted and sent to prison.

I’m so glad today’s generation has access to footage of them being in these situations. Growing up, I was harassed by police officers so frequently. I challenged some traffic charges in court but was largely ignored. Those body cams keep the cops semi-honest.
semi-honest is right. cop does something mildly humane, fully unedited 45 minute video of the whole event published. cop shoots unarmed man in the back 14 times, 35 seconds of grainy video with no audio gets released 2 months after the incident only AFTER its order by a court via lawsuit.
Yeah but what is the % of these recordings that actually find cop unethical behavior. I guarantee you if you have a camera following you 24 hours a day in your personal life and job they will uncover something unfavorable to you. If you are being recorded constantly it distracts honest cops from doing their jobs and probably leads to honest cops being called in constantly b/c some Karen showed a video out of context to the cops boss's rival who is gunning for the promotion.

Tayvin had claimed that Winters had beaten his ex-girlfriend. Winters's ex has a domestic abuse restraining order against him and submitted an affidavit alleging abuse. During the trial, instead of giving testimony, Winters plead the 5th.
The Galanokis kid or anyone else for that matter didnt get the last laugh if that cop wasn't fired and prohibited from joining another police force! Using your authority as a cop intentionally trying to ruin someones life should be a firarable offense AT THE VERY LEAST!! Along with criminal charges
That cop got fired. And sued personally. Both HE and the city paid out. NOW, the cop is trying to sue the kid for releasing the video and him being shunned and cancelled. 😂
This is why qualified Immunity must be stripped from all law enforcement immediately, then bad cops can be held accountable!! Good cops don't need QI only bad cops do!!!
To many times bad cops are protected at the lower court level, and there's nothing that you can do when that happens. Even when lower courts remove QI the higher court can still re instate it. There is another video where a cop sees two cars parked illegally on the street (It is a narrow street and is is all a no parking zone. In addition, they were mostly in a lane of traffic.) There are not a lot of houses in the area, so it is obvious what house they belong to. He goes up and knocks on the door and shouts that he is police and just wants to talk to them. It appears no one is home. He goes back to his vehicle and calls two two trucks. It takes about an hour for the tow trucks to get there. While he is waiting, he knocks and shouts a few more times before giving up because clearly no one is home. When the two trucks show up and start hooking up to the first car, a young adult female runs out of the house screaming. She is on the phone with her boyfriend. The cop explains that the tow company now has possession of the first car. If she can move the second car before the tow truck hooks up, she can avoid the tow charge on it. She can't. She says boyfriend owns the second car, his friend owns the first car, both of them are less than five minutes away and they are on the way. By the time the boys get there, the second car is on the truck, and the first car is gone. The whole clip of the last guy made me cry. Because it was a Target employee who called the cops instead of helping the guy made me vow to never step foot inside a Target ever again.
I felt so bad for the mentally disabled man. Accusing him of shoplifting - while he's standing at the till sorting out his money so he can pay for his goods. I SERIOUSLY doubt he intended to steal anything. It obviously just takes him a little longer to sort these things out in his mind. Any police officer who is even vaguely a good person would have walked up to this situation, asked if he needed help to count out the correct amount, made sure he got a receipt, and let him go about his business.
I don’t talk to police at all. Last time I got pulled over I was asked where I’m going and I just said “That way” and pointed in my direction of travel. Then, he said “OK, where you coming from?” You guessed it, I said “Back that way”. Do not talk to cops at all. They are trained to lead people with their questions and are able to use anything you say in court
i feel like this would be a way for a cop to be like “you’re on something” or something ridiculous :/ i hope i never get in a situation where i have to talk to them as i have both mental disabilities and illness so i’m a very anxious and vulnerable person :(
Just remember the Miranda warning. " If you give up the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law." Nothing says it might be used in your favour, only against you. They are NOT there to be your friend.
The day I assaulted an officer. I was harassed by an officer in my city twice. Unlawfully I might add. I found an ID card and I went to hand it in to the police station. Next day I get a knock at my door and it was police saying that I’m being charged with assault of the man that owned that ID card. Apparently he was attacked and the crooks took his belongings. They took the valued things and discarded the items worth no value to them, that’s when I found the ID. This officer was trying to get a confession from me for 2 years. I asked if I can see this victim in person so he can clarify that I’m not the crook. They said no. I was guilty by the courts before trialing began. I had a 2 year trial and while the trial was going on, I was handed bail conditions and a curfew. I lost my job and house and because I became homeless, I kept getting arrested for breaching my bail curfew. I had no choice. This officer knew where I’d be and always harass me for almost 2 years, he would try pin many other crimes I did not commit onto me. After the court trials were done and I was still guilty with no proof, I was sent to jail. I got a bed and food so it was okay at first. After 3 months I was released and I was filled with hate for the law. This hate grew for years. Eventually I got back on my feet and was able to get into contact with a guy I was locked up with and he knew my story. After a while we planed to ruin this cops life. At first it started with follow the officer home from and robbing him a few times. Then we put holes in his car tyres. Eventually after this petty stuff, we burnt his house down (most of it burnt) and the inmate I met up with ended up beating the officer up so badly around 4 years after the burnt house. The officer had broken ribs, jaw and other bones but I forgot. Still no one has been charged and I feel happy that vigilante justice was served in my opinion
My country tried to murder disabled sick kids with heart aliments in the 1970s. Cops just got paid off by the evil socialist who were stealing the money from disabled, widows, and orphans to fund their rich private lives. Palaces and all.

It's all about getting them to realize there's no moral high ground. That they're just as bad as what they judge somehow. People are often blind to their own actions. The truth is the truth though. Just present the logic with straight answers to questions and sticking to facts. If they play the "legal" cards then play the "You're a hypocrite" card. Some cops know they're pricks. This young man did something that he may or may not realize. I served my country for 35 years and I can tell you this young man is going to go far in life. Because he is intelligent and shows traits of a strong leader. The roles where reversed that night because that night be was the Public Servant, who protected his community from this bad police officer and clearly this police office has done this so often and got away with it and clearly his moral compass was smashed and he should go to jail for wearing a uniform that he clearly should have never put on. So very proud of this young man. God Bless You!
I felt really bad for that last guy. It’s hard enough trying shop with a disability. Imagine getting arrested for just trying to participate in society by shopping.
It's so sad that they did that to him. Shoplifting?! He hadn't left the store. He was actually standing there at the till sorting out his money so he could pay the right amount. They should have just explained they got a call and were investigating it, asked if he needed help to count the money out, check that he paid for all items, and made sure he got a receipt. If it comes up that he didn't have enough money for everything, get a clerk to help him put an item back. Everyone says "have a nice day". End of interaction. That's how I expect EVERYONE to be treated in this situation. They didn't even ask him what he was doing or if he needed help - straight to arresting him. Really poor policing. The guy was clearly disabled, was polite, and wasn't in much of a condition to run away anyway. Terrible inhumane decision to roughly handle him like that. I would really expect any public servant to be able to recognise disabilities like this. Scared the heck out of the poor guy! I think they did this because they thought "there's something wrong with this guy" and totally misread his situation and intentions. I hope he's doing OK these days, and those clowns in uniform got some sort of punishment.
This is why you remember the words: "am I being detained or am I free to go? I will not be answering any more questions without a legal representative. Please call your supervisor"

That last one is really messed up and definitely should have charges pressed against them over this, the moment he spoke anyone with a brain and heart knows when they heard his voice is that all this man needed was a little assistance. How can he be shoplifting when he has several cash bills trying to pay and hasn’t left the store yet or even attempted to leave and apparently he had been there a while for the cops to show up and he still be there trying. And he’s at the register who try’s to shoplift at the register most people would go to the bathrooms and slip items under there clothing. These cops just had horrible judgment.
Statistically, 1 out of 3 drivers without lights at night are drunk drivers. Almost all my encounters with cops are like these men drunk with their own power. I've even had a friendly visit (friend of a friend) from a cop at a holiday party. He kept trying to tell me to stop giving him respect as an officer because he was paranoid about getting shot even in civilian clothing. When I was 16, I was at a local stadium for a basketball game, and I was making my way to the concession stand. I was walking short distances in front of risers for overflow crowd, and a cop was standing next to them. The crowd was very noisy, and you couldn't hear anything. That first guy is witty and cool as F. He never backed down and knew exactly what was up with that cop.
My father was an old school Nashville cop from the mid 60s to the early 90s.
I'm not trying to be rude but that's the main problem the good cops aren't concerned enough to actually go against their own even if they disagree with them.

If she had talked to the officer thru the door, he would have told her to move the cars, and they could have just put the cars in the huge driveway that had plenty of room for them.

@@XxNekoMoonxX then don’t talk to them. Just tell them you don’t have to answer any questions and to write you a citation so you can be on your way.

Unfortunately, the majority of police /government abuse of regular people goes unpunished and unnoticed
My country tried to murder disabled sick kids with heart aliments in the 1970s. Cops just got paid off by the evil socialist who were stealing the money from disabled, widows, and orphans to fund their rich private lives. Palaces and all.

@@not_moistVery true.
This is why cops need their own insurance this way when we take them to court the money comes out of their pocket then you will see how fast they obey the laws
You're wrong as you could be, YOU understand way more about the LAW if you know your civil rights, than these PIGS will ever know.
@@Doc_-_Savage_1what an irrelevent comment. Knowing your rights and laws doesnt stop officers from wrongfully detaining/arresting you. Why even type that shit?
@@StatesMusic First, who's deciding what's "right" for who? And no, others going "Because I say so for you" isn't cutting it. The fact is things aren't black and white. It's ones one actions and choices at the end of the day. Which will have consequences. If you play your cards right you can turn the tables on a cop. Even if arrested.
Their own words. Some know they can do better but maybe aren't sure how. People pretend standard training is enough. It's not. If I was teaching cops I'd do it while also teaching criminals. By making a point about how dishonest can cost lives. What would I make this point? Because cops are trained to lie and use fake evidence. Once that becomes a habit then how can you trust yourself when used to lies and deception? Even if knowing the truth first, if you tell yourself something so many times you can believe the lie. That's if you mean to do it. So imagine but easy and common it is from bad habit alone. It's no wonder the law can't be trusted.
What a great idea 💡 👏
I am an ex cop and retired military. I am SO sickened by what far too many cops have devolved to in the United States. It is sickening to say the very least. These cops are despicable, and an embarrassment to Law Enforcement.

Ive noticed the trend of cops threatening people and getting away with it. That alone should take their job away

Why i don't like going out
This is why you remember the words: "am I being detained or am I free to go? I will not be answering any more questions without a legal representative. Please call your supervisor"
In Canada they come late at night, then dial a magic number where another cop pretending to be a lawyer gives you 'advice' that is advantageous to the cops. Canadian cops are among the worst criminals in the country, and most corrupt cops in nearly all of the Americas. They are a stain on the entire history of the nation.
You watch some these video and notice sometimes cop are slow to answer that question or try to be evasive about it.
Throw in "I'm invoking my rights under the fifth amendment" for good measure.

Target sucks

I couldn’t finish that part. Retail employees have treated me like utter garbage before for being slow with counting money or getting my cards, I’m mentally slow and have a lot of numbness and stiffness in my fingers so it takes me a moment.
