This video is also made in welcome to their new great album- death magnetic.
Enjoy watching.
MANNN THOSE were the days!!!!!!!!!!!!!
they have 10 or few years left in them,
when there is no metallica
I WILL MISS THEM LIKE HELL
and i am proud to say i once lived in the time of METALLICA!!!!!!!!!!! \m/
Saw them live in '92 - it was a good year.....
Imagine 1983-james singing with this voice.... O_O
I remember I saw White Zombie at a club called The Continental in 1992, and Rob Zombie couldn't quite sing with the power he had on the recording, but it got better with practice. Hetfield, circa 1989, is in prime form, absolute ripping rhythm guitar and roaring vocals. It last a few years more but really post 1992 it goes downhill for me.
Dude!!! I want someone to make a time machine so the first thing i can do is to back in 1992 and watch metallica play like this....All the people who are cursing metallica these dayz should watch more vids like this to understand why they sold 100 mil albums worldwide, to become inspirations...i know i started playing in a band because of these guys cos they inspired me!!
There is no new Metallica nor old Metallica there is just Metallica...the gods of rock.
Aw I wish I was in the old day when Cliff was still around
Anyone else ever notice how Kirk's lead part in For Whom The Bell Tolls bears a striking resemblance to the lead part in Fairies Where Boots? Check it out if you've never heard the song. It sounds like the same notes and pattern, just in a different order. I'm not a "hater"...it just reminded me when I watched this video. Awesome video by the way......80's Metallica is the best metal ever made.
James' voice in the Justice Tour gives me goosebumps
Hey, thanks, this is awesome. HAPPY NEW YEARS!
Fantastic! Thanks for putting this together.
this is one kick as medly thx for posting mate
best way to start it off, with the best live metallica song.
The voice at the time was epic

SO FOCKIN WHAT!!??

11lp...you are absolutely right... new Metallica still good, but never as wild, than those days
listening to this is like going back in time and never coming back:P
through the never, if you will:P
MetallicA FOR THE WIN
every decade has its music. and every decade one type of music is more popular than others, and at the moment, in my opinion thrash metal is not as big as it should be. but in my prodiction i think there are people out there (including myself) thinking there needs to be a change in music and thrash bands need to be popular again. BRING BACK THE 80'S THRASH!!! we will one day have our thrash music back even if it takes decades. IT WILL HAPPEN!
Thanks
Hell Yeah i agree with you
damaged justice tour and wherever we may roam/nowhere else to roam tours they were at their peak, dammit i want the live shit dvds!!
fuck yeah ! the live shit box set contains the best metallica performances ever, so much energy on stage....awesome .... they never got better...

metalicaaaaaa!
Hail to the Gods \m/ ...........
@cerldude you got much reason, I have this dvd and I saw him, I think, a million times, and still sounds aggressive. Long live MetallicA.
Fuck Jamez is a great musician. This is when he was at his prime for me. Great vocals and dominating the guitar. Hell Yeah!!! \m/ \m/
yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh
@8thEastTexasBlues Too right mate, I used to be a huge fan of the black album, but then I started listening to their older stuff from kill em all and ..and justice for all and the raw sound got me hooked. Now i listen to the black album occasionely (?) but ride the lightning and stuff is my no. 1 choice.
Yes
METALLICA'S >STILL< KILLING ! \m/
Ahh back when they were Aggressive and James could still sing! Some may not like Newstead, but he brought some anger with him that Trujillo just doesn't seem to have.
@motorstorm78 I agree. I still love them no matter what! My point is just that nowdays all their shows are very similar,... not so wild, unique and spontaneous as they used to be.
@elmasshop
You are completely right... Metallica is still great. I was at their concert two months ago and it was amazing BUT... you have to admit that the show isn't so wild and unique anymore like it was in the "old days".
Burton is why I love MetallicA and why I am a bass player!
that song is one
fucking awesome man!!! RIP Cliff
i love that bass at so 6:28
I've got it on DVD, mine is called "Metallica Live at San Diego 1992" Think it was originally included with Sh*t, binge and purge, but I ain't sure.
it sucks ass that i ahd to be born right after these shows were done, this was metallica when they owned the world
@NirvZppln94 i agree it time for metallica to make a return to the old school sound
yeah... someone has to invent a time machine :O

maybe the show istnt as wild as it used to be in the 80's and 90's. BUT, dont we all geht a little bit calmed down an quiet over the years? the fact that they still play great metal music doesnt mean that they have to get a huge action show going. Its the sound that matters, the electricity between them and us, the fans. and thats still there, its all around in every single show no matter where on earth they play. my last gig was last year in may in munich and man, they rocked the house!
OLD Metallica was good I agree
WILD AND FUCKIN AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!
fucking amazing!
My life in 9.49 minutes
Fuck yeah!
only video i miss is Creeping Death Seattle '89
i miss whiplash from san diego 92
check out nimes and mexico 2009 dvds, they play blackened and they do it well
Only 2 mistakes. 8th is also Welcome home(Sanitarium) from Master of Puppets and there is The Four Horsemen instead of Creeping Death.
But thanks for watching anyway...have a nice day.
kick ass video,
although i enjoy slamming my fuckin head to MetallicA from the 80's and early 90's the best..they still to this day are metal GODS
@guitarmen66 i agree
AJFA from seattle 89 and 92 are uncomparable i love both of the preformances equally actually same with the whole shows
k, thx
@MrShredtilldead oohh i see your point now, thanks for explaining. Yeah, i think you have good reasons. Nice to share ideas with you ;)
Killer tribute, but two words come to mind; Where's Cliff?
8:15 = GOD
Harvester of Sorrow(..and justice for all)
Last Caress (Garage days or Garage days revisited)
Blackened (..and justice for all)
For whom the bell tolls (Ride the lightning)
Welcome home (Sanitarium) (Master of Puppets)
Enter Sandman (Metallica/Black Album)
And justice for all (..and justice for all)
Master of Puppets (Master of Puppets)
One (..and justice for all)
Creeping Death (Ride the Lightning)
Sad but True 8Metallica/Black Album)
Master of Puppets (Master of Puppets)
@ElFrankus lol yeahhh.
FUCK YEA!!!!
LIVE SHIT: BINGE & PURGE were their best live performances, in fact most of these songs are taken out of that concerts...
that good old days...
If you notice this is 2 different concerts, seattle and san diego. Sad but true in this vid are from -92..
it was released in 91 but was probly written befor the releas, once they played disposable heroes in 85 even though MOP was released in 86
@elmasshop I think he means this = Old metallica = before St Anger
you should have put some of the moscow 91 show no here
@noahwyatt23 Just a cover of Thin Lizzy´s whiskey in the jar?
@mattm4544 ..you´re right ! Now they´re a CoverPopBand....
their best live performances are in seattle 1989
What is a perfomance when 1 and 2 songs?)
@cmadd123
"For Whom The Bells Tolls" the 3rd song on the album "Ride The Lightning"
@allardtheone
That's no excuse. Venom is older than Metallica (and was one of Metallica's major influences), and they still rock harder than Metallica can today.
This is from Seattle '89 and San Diego '92!
@405mikey91 yeaH but the solo is all changed and shortened :(
seattle 1989...
i would kill a little baby to get into a metallica concert
old xD black album tour san diego?
wich one was the first song
this is seattle huh?
1:25-so that's wat jason's bass sounds like in this song o_O
can someone name me all
of the songs they played
i know some
please and thank you (:
