That timing though
I was basically searching for optimized settings for this game and you uploaded your video
Thanks for your work
No worries, just spent 14 hours straight working on this video, and ~3 hours for it to finish rendering. Piece of cake, WHAT EVEN IS SLEEP?
@@ZykopathOfficial What a dedication. Get some rest though.
@@ZykopathOfficial Thanks bro you have done a amazing job. From Brazil.

Thank you very much for sharing this video. Your optimised settings have made a huge difference. 😃
Thank you so much, I love your FPS comparison at the end of every segment, really useful!!!
Happy to help!
This is THEE best video I've seen so far very easy sub, great video mate 👏🏻👏🏻
Glad it helped
was hoping for a video from you and I wasn't disapppointed after witcher & cyberpunk, thanks a lot again mate!
Bro i watch a lot of your vid's thanks for the work bro
Glad you like them!
what a banger video. I don´t write comments often but this benchmark is so detailed, still compact and easy to understand. Thanks for the good work!
Glad you liked it, much appreciated!
Thank you so much man 👍, been really enjoying the game with these preset.
Been waiting for thiss
Good video bro ı was waiting for your video nice job thanks for optimized settings
😉
i was waiting for sooo long
so "sooo long" is 28 hours since release?
is it though?
@@ZykopathOfficial i cant run this on my rig without optimized setting so i was waiting for your video so i can play and enjoy. I was sooo desperate to play this game that is why 28 hours feels like an eternity xD .
love your work man keep it up.
You deserve my subscription brother. I will watch you go from 10K to 10M soon. Thank you
I followed your optimized settings video since horizon forbidden west, this is very helpful for people like me without super high end gaming rig. Very appreciated!

nice pretty detailed guide
muito bom esse tipo de conteúdo, ajuda bastante, os seus jogos são da steam verde ?
superb job my man
Thanks!
Thank you so much for these settings, I cant use dlss but the other options you showed worked to get rid of that shimmering. At night, the tree tops would go basically white if i turned the camera fast.
Thank you. Perfect job

Very good video, thanks. Subbed 🙂
This game has such a beautiful implementation of motion blur
Oh and also - DLAA is indeed almost perfect :P

SMAA is overlooked and at least doesn't introduce more issues to the image. I'm glad that Nixxes include it in their ports as well as the Off option.
Temporal methods like TAA, DLAA and upscaling significantly blur the image. Especially in motion.
You are the best. Thanks!
Just doing what I can!

Thank You!
No problem my friend!
I love your videos!!!
I love them too!
im happy with my upgrade 1660 super to rtx 3060 ti, i can finally use Dlaa and its so good
DLSS/DLAA is a game changer for sure!
DLSS performance + 4x DSR (0% smoothness) is a better option when you can afford it. DLAA is still blurry in motion compared to stills, but upscaling to a higher resolution makes the reprojection of previous frames more accurate and removes most of this blur. The 'small' amount of blur in motion is a reason for a lot of people to disable anti aliasing completely or use SMAA, in order to avoid motion sickness or just to see things more crisp
A lot of imput lag, it's horrible for perfect blocks.
Currently you are the only one until today making this kind of video in ghost of tsushima, digital foundry is so late😅😅
It's because I have no life....and don't know what sleep is! 😢

You're welcome!
On Anti Aliasing and Sharpening side, Disable Anti Aliasing and Disabling Sharping performs best imo.
Even disable motion blur. That one will bump performance a little bit.
Its crisp and Sharp + perfornance bump at the same time.
Good thing for Native Resolution Gaming, aspeically for 1080p Gaming.
Thats why Forbidden west has the best performance if you simple disable AA and other blurry things, so i think Ghost of Tsushima will be the same.
This game runs so well I didnt even need to watch the video. I just turned textures up to max and put every other setting at "High" preset. Well optimized, great art style in this game
thank you very much😘😛
You are very welcome!
. Most notably SSAO heavily darkens areas under grass, and depending on what you like that might be ideal. XeGTAO and HBAO both occlude less, and with a less harsh darkening effect.
XeGTAO seems to darken more areas than HBAO slightly, which can make it less precise in some scenes, and more precise in others depending on the makeup of the scene.
If you want more subtle AO, probably best to stick with HBAO, if you want darker AO, stick with SSAO. If you want a bit of an inbetween, go XeGTAO.
Thanks for the hard work you put in for us, i'm running it at 1080p very high Dlaa locked at 60 fps with about 84% gpu utilization so i think i got headroom for 1440p but i got a 1080p monitor anyway i'd only benefit from better anti aliasing
Trust me, 84% utilization isn't enough, you need around 70% utilization for around the same framerates as 1080p.
I repeat never ever play a single player game on 1080p even if u have a 1080 p monitor use dldsr n play at 1440p it’s like day and night difference in clarity 1080p looks garbage blurry n horrible even if u have to crank settings to low never play a single player game in 1080p ever
I am glad that you confirmed my suspicion of a CPU performance problem. In some areas, my performance just drops heavily, from 60-70 FPS it drops to around 40-50 FPS. But other than this I am pretty with this game. Also, I am impressed by the FSR3 implementation in this game, though FSR3 (even if I use FSR3 Native AA) has some shimmering in some cutscenes when DOF is active. Also, at 1080p FSR looks a bit oversharpened, while TAA and XeSS Native AA looks too blurry for my liking. Overall, I found myself using High Settings with FSR Native AA at 1080p with my RX 6600 and Ryzen 5 5600g, and no Frame Generation, as I don't need it, because my monitor is only 60 Hz :/. If I would've had a 120 - 165 Hz FreeSync monitor, I would have probably tried the Frame Generation.
amazing!!!!
❤
Nice
Frame generation boosted me from 60 fps to 150 and i have close to zero artifacts etc, its honestly crazy
I have r7 5800x3d and 6700xt with fsr 3 and frame generation enabled max settings game runs smooth as butter with +140fps. Just throwing this here. I know it is "old" game but with mid tier computer it runs good :) Good port imo.
Would disabling SMT or Hyperthreading help with the 1% lows?
This game is so well optimized ❤
did u replace the dlss file because built in version is 2.4 and 3.7 available here
Brother can you please tell best graphics setting for 8gb ram and 4gb Vram
7:00 On 4K it makes a noticeable difference, at least between x2 and x16.
i use both DLSS+FSR and set dynamic resolution upscaling to 144 but the fps is go beyond that? how to lock fps to 144
3080 ultrawide runs like a dream with HDR. Thanks Sony for no denuvo too 🙃 yarrrrrr
Most people don't understand what CPU utilization should look like in gaming, gaming CPU performance is more limited from how fast it's IPC, does it has enough memory (in this case cache) and how fast the CPU cycle capability is (this includes it's cache utilization, scheduler efficiency, thread management etc).
CPU utilization as seen from OS data means nothing for gaming. On the contrary some arguments can be made that the lower utilization can mean that the game data is being processed faster and more efficiently, while high CPU utilization can mean that there can be bottlenecks, be it in the hardware, software, OS and game engine.
nvida literally dropped updated drivers for this game a few day's ago, looks amazing on a 4090 and ryzen 9.
has anyone had this issue where the game black screens the whole computer including the monitors and you have to restart the pc
bro have you compared dlss3 to fsr3 mod vs the fsr3 native
Xess, which version?
I have the same CPU bu a gtx 1080 and for some reason gpu usage is very low(around 50-70%) Does anyone know a fix?
So are they going to fix the CPU issue? FMD, they need to increase the usage of it, getting lower FPS despite a solid build. Kinda badly optimised if you ask me.
in my i7 8700 runs smooth.. maybe with old AMD cpus are having problems?

bro so whats the alternative for frame gen then should we use frs3 frame gen mod with dlss if native frs3 frame gen Already in the game is not stable ?
I tried dlss with frame generation n vsync on game running like butter n I have a 4060 but I feel nvidia fg isn’t that good on the game n gives less fps too
Can I do 1440p 60fps with a 6700xt and ryzen 5 5600 (stock cooler)?
do you think i will be able to maintain an average of near 60fps with an rtx 2060 and a ryzen 1700x.
With that CPU, I don't think a stable 60 FPS is viable, you're probably better off capping your FPS at around 30 to 40 fps for the best experience.
it's a shame dynamic resolution and FSR3 frame gen is broken right now.
Well, DLSS frame gen is very good now that they fixed the cutscene artifacts bug.
My 3070 is randomly getting big dips down to 30fps whenever a gust of wind blows past.
How tf.
Does enabling DLSS frame generation makes vsync off automatically?
Yeah I use dlss quality n amd fg with vsync on n it runs butter smooth
With XeSS 1.3 the presets are no longer directly comparable, so DLSS/FSR quality is XeSS ultra quality, balanced is XeSS quality, and so on. It's dumb that intel did this but so it goes.
what's the background music
Good video pal. But c'mon your cpu is long overdue an upgrade
Yeah I know, just waiting for the new AMD CPUs to drop, so I can fully upgrade to a new platform entirely, while I save up some money to afford it by then.
bruh how can there be no sig diff on fps on low and very high texture quality,,, how does that work?
Textures quality are not defined by graphical power, but graphic memory (VRAM).

@@prabhakarraj6644Which gpu you're using? How much vram do you have? I have the same issue, I fixed it and it works fine while playing pretty long time with 70-80 fps from 1 to 3 hours, then just restarting the game. Try to lower texture, shadow, level of detail and fog quality, I lowered them from very high to high settings and other settings are maxed out and turn on dlss/fsr whatever you have on your gpu without frame generation on. I use an rtx 3060 6 gb, I think it's a problem with memory leaks in that game.
@@exmachina3426 Yes i also figured it out bro i have gtx1650 super 4gb vram. I put texture on low and rest on medium except level of detail and terrain quality on high and the game is running smooth at 40-50fps it still get worse overtime but now it takes 2 hour to drop fps which is bearable😄

Does anyone else here have same problem??
Yeah, screen freezes on exit on my end as well, I have to force quit through task manager.
Not bad, i have average 70, but it tends to tank FPS in some areas, and graphical quality compared to for example Horizon FW is not better. Even though i have better HW than it is shown in this video, performance are not much better, i also noticed more stuttering occurring after longer time playing.
My thoughts too.
Can someone help me… its run smoothly for me.. but when i start act 2 it keeps stuttering/frame drop tp 20 fps from 60… my specs rtx 3060 ti, i7-11700kf… there’s still stutter even im set it to the lowest settings

I don't understand why recommending a 21:9 aspect ratio for 16:9 monitors as it causes black bars at the top and bottom.
That's the point, so it looks more cinematic and gives an extra few frames, it's entirely up to you of course.
TAA should not be implemented as it is actually, it does its job with aliasing but SMAA to this days retains the clarity which is the main priority and where TAA just gives an oiled paint blurryness to all. SMAA has the flicker yes, but that's because devs put all the effects relying on the bad TAA to make the cover. We can only hope for a lot better TAA implementation without killing the sharpness of the image and till that SMAA is a good way to keep seeing the clearer picture.
Use FSR 3 Native AA it gets rid of the blur and sight flicker of TAA and dosnt have jagged edges like SMAA
use DLAA
@@PonOdyssey depends of the performance of the game, I prefer to play in the real resolution rather than upscale from a lower one. DLSS and FRS also have those issues of artifacts and blurryness when in motion.
@@perkzy5146FSR3AA and DLAA still blur in motion due to frame blending and temporal accumulation. This effect is very annoying to many people so they prefer the more detailed pristine image of post-process AA like SMAA.
I will use things like DLAA/FSR3 if the image is very jagged or something but if it's an acceptable level of jaggies then its SMAA all day.
SMAA retains clarity because it doesn't do anything
Im very fine with my 5800x3d and rx7900xt
21:9 aspect ratio is not an ''optimized setting'' in any way whatsoever.
It increases performance over the standard 16:9 since it renders fewer pixels (when games implement it to fit a 16:9 display)
@@ZykopathOfficial Sure, you could also render the game at 1440p instead of 4K to accomplish the same thing. So I ask again, how is lowering the total pixel count an optimized setting?
The whole point of optimized settings is picking the best graphical bang-for-buck options. Resolution is completely dependent on your display so it's impossible to optimize something like that.
@@ScyrousFX This could be said about DLSS as well, so at what point do we draw the line? At the end of the day, you can always pick and choose your own settings.
@@ZykopathOfficiallisten man, i enjoy your content but he's right. next time just keep the ratio at default (16:9)
@@ZykopathOfficial DLSS is an upscaler meant to approximate the look of the native resolution rendering. That’s a huge difference compared to simply lowering the pixel count with no upscaling.
Really dont think this needs any performance optimizations it runs really well on most systems

Dude my game is crash few times can u help me plssim ur subscriber...
SMAA can be really good visually. Without too much blur (as blur sensitive person), especially with multiple passes. Personally think the tech is a bit underrated by the creator of the video. Would rank SMAA higher as someone who cannot handle blur on displays with my eyes very well, this is why I don't agree with the creator on the "SMAA is outdated" comment. TAA is often regarded as the blurriest tech of them all and it truly is worse, any TAA and my eyes cry like crazy and I cannot enjoy the entertainment medium. There are games that have both TAA and SMAA where SMAA is my preferred option even if it's not so drastically in the "anti-aliasing" spectrum doing so well.
I see your point, and to be fair, the only AA option that handles aliasing the best is DLAA, which is the least blurry TAA-based technique, otherwise, the non-TAA-based techniques still suffer from noticeable aliasing. It's unfortunate that we only have the choice between a soft but stable image, or a crisp yet shimmery image. hopefully a new option is created soon than handles both aspects better.
@@ZykopathOfficial I somewhat agree with that stance! And you're right. It is a shame we do. Though, this game is optimized or tuned by Nixxes which is regarded very well in terms of options. I am happy to see more options to pick from rather than one enforced one (like TAA, strong dislike towards that.)
We should see development in this space again and not just blindly entrust TAA resolves it all, since clearly its not the best solution for everyone and their preference or disabilities (like myself with blur-eyes)
why reflex low latency off?
it lowers 1% low fps, but it's personal preference, use it if you like.
XeGTAO its really expansive but only in close scenes like indoors, fps goes like -10 from SSAO quality
As shown here it costs the same as the rest of the other options.
Where can I replicate this?
@@ZykopathOfficial don't remember exactly where. It was a random house just try to test inside some houses to see if it will affect you
@@RaLk6 Will do.
smaa or smaa t2x looks better than taa and fsr3 native aa
fsr native aa causes flickering on trees for example and it is oversharpened
TAA is so blurry
Pretty much. Temporally-based AA just damages the image clarity too much.
Can you make one for Fortnite, it may be a strange request since everyone wants to have more fps but I want to see the game as beautiful as possible but I still always go to a minimum of 60 or if you can at least a comparison of what each graphic does, I would appreciate it though, thank you 😂😂 (have a 4070)

So very single threaded, my 8600k 5ghz will rape the 3600x (like always did)
Ram bottleneck. Maybe future patch can help a setup like that but that is likely what's going on.
What makes you say that? could you be a little more specific? I assume it's RAM speed?
@ZykopathOfficial whenever gpu is not consistently stable at like 95%+ stable 99% is ideal unless when your capping fps. Something is bottlenecking the gpu performance. Based on what cpu is doing in the video it doesnt look like the issue so the ram is likely the culprit it cab be speed or latency depends on the engine/game as well as the ram kit your using. You want gpu bottleneck (performance is limited by gpu). With amd though it can be tricky with ram.
My first experience with ram bottleneck was ac origins with i7 4790k I had ddr3 1866mhz ocing helped but thankfully was able to get 2400mhz kit from friend to keep stable 60fps.
@@resColts I'm using DDR4 32GB 3200Mhz Ram, so I don't think it's the limiting factor here, not at these frame rates at least.
@ZykopathOfficial what are the timings? Those are just as important as speed big difference between cl14 and cl18 ddr4 3200mhz in 2024(like 3200mhz cl14 is better than cl18 3600mhz for example(can be game dependent though) Regardless something is limiting gpu performance, though. It could very well just be the game needs further optimization depends on what happens with other pc configuration to know for sure. What happens for gpu usage when you run game in 4k?
@@ZykopathOfficial DDR4@3200hz = 💀💀💀 that's where the minimum fps are coming from...
Good video but man... a R5 3600X is SO basic & dated. The 3060 is fine for 1080p but a 3600X? That's REALLY old & SLOW in 2024.
It was fine for 2019-2021. But man the 5600x destroys it and the 7600x makes it obsolete.
Days gone looks so much better than this. There is no reason a ps4 game can't run naive 4k 60+fps on 4070ti and 5800x3d
It can if you do pa4 settings, I can do native 3k with my 4070ti super and 7800x3d
