The environment in GOT feels so alive and dynamic, the rustling of fallen leaves, the wind. The sound design and aesthetics are beautifully crafted
once you have played red dead redemption 2 every other game feels dead. GOTs environment feels dead compared to red dead 2 where there are hundreds of animals and npcs going to work and getting stuff done.
I get that. But got was beautiful in its own way. Nothing like the details and authenticity of RDR2. Thats currently the bar that is set, but there's something that hits different when you do a haiku and ride off in this game
@@EliteXtinctGaming Yes I have played RDR2 as well, the side events do seem to feel rather natural and dynamic even though ik they're scripted but they're scripted well. However, I feel the sound design, wind physics, the sound of the breeze felt far better in GOT

The Ghost of Tsushima game was released on July 17, 2020, and Rise of the Ronin on March 22, 2024. The Ghost of Tsushima was released 4 years earlier and even better in graphics and gameplay than its predecessor.

Predecessor means the one that came before. Ghost of Tsushima in this case is the predecessor. It's got the prefix "Pre" in it ffs.

The comparison was always going to be a suicide attempt for ROTR
@mhdirham2276 Allow me to disagree.
FYI, I have played both games. RoTR i have completed till half and in GoT I have platinum.
For additional background I have Plat in Sekiro and have completed Elden Ring, Lies of P.
1. RoTR has shit lighting. Textures are not that bad but the lighting sucks at almost all places.
2. RoTR the combat is just not exactly satisfying. Yes, it looks all good and glittery while looking at it but when it really comes to the implementation of it then its more or less the same (I have tried almost all weapon types). Enemies have crazy high forward momentum which pretty much kills the aspect of KEEPING YOUR DISTANCE. Yeah, there are some good things here and there but bad is bad enough to dull their shine.
3. RoTR has shit performance. IF I AM GETTING BELOW 60 FPS EVEN IN PERFORMANCE THEN YES U DESERVE HATE.
I will however agree to following as well:
1. RoTR has well crafted world where different things, building and their placements makes sense and looks immersive if not for those shit graphics.
2. RoTR has implemented bonds and missions which allow bonds quite neetely.
3. RoTR has good storyline. (At least till the point I have played)

Rise of the ronin has way better combat. Sucks that only PS players can enjoy it.
Rise of the Ronin has insane gameplay and a combat as the comment above me mentioned.

@@x_xvihtahousux_x1969 ghost of tsushima just realeased on pc lol
GOT got wrong with the fire when it came to live grass, especially considering it rains so much.
I think they're both good at what they do. Obviously Rise of The Ronin seems a little bit "dry" and I'd recognise it as a game from 2017 ~ 2020, but I think each game fulfils its purpose somehow. Ronin seems more like a kind of game to mess around with like I did with ShinobiDo back in the Ps2 and Ghost of Tsushima for a cinematic, narrative and more immersive experience. I can't say about the mechanics because I haven't played Ronin yet though.
Ahh man I had so much fun with shinobido. I go back to it from time to time for the nostalgia.
Rise has some impressive combat. The amount of stances and clothing options are insane. Both great games. Tsushima def takes the prize though, just because of quality and story imo.
Actually at 0:30 i can get the background vision diff between these two games, it's not just texture diff, Tsushima has strong optimization capabilities, and the developers know how to express dynamic shaking when riding a horse without really causing visual distress to the player. You know, motion blur. I hate motion blur.
I like both games. They're pure fun and made with love ❤
Right. This is literally the case of comparing bad bitches for no reason
rise of ronin made with love? this low budget offensively bad trash? XD

I’ve finished both and I liked both a lot. I feel like Ronin puts its focus more on gameplay and story (bc that is really good) while Ghost of Tsushima has got the overall package: breathing graphics, amazing gameplay and a great story! I finished Ghost of Tsushima twice or 3 times (on PS4 and on PS5) and I’ll get it on PC as well when it’s on sale.
The variety (gameplay-wise) you can get out of both games is insane. In both games you’ve got different stances/fighting styles which is really cool. I don’t know if there are videos on UA-cam which compare the styles in the Rise of the Ronin to actual ones, but I’m really interested. I know there are some for Ghost of Tsushima and they are accurate.
Rise of the Ronin is a really good game from a smaller studio and with less budget as well. I bet on PC would look amazing, cant wait for it.

Ghosts of Tsushima doesn't manage realistic combat. It's very stylized, similar to western films.
@@7dayspking it does it WAY better than any other game. The reaching is realistic, about 90% of the moves are realistic the only non realistic part are the shield blocks, stagger damage (it's realistic but not in this game) and parries. There's even video's about some pro sword fighters doing Jin's moves.
@@TheOGBaldski Bro. There's combat sports games, those are semi realistic. Ghosts of Tsushima isn't realistic. Ghosts of Tsushima is somewhat authentic to the fantasy of sword combat that's proposed in traditional Japanese martial arts. Idea of waiting idly, then sidestepping an opponent's first attack and making an instantly lethal counter strike is stupid outside demonstrations. Even dumber when you remember Ghosts of Tsushima, and the warring periods in Japan, were filled with guys wearing armour! Battlefields and sieges included missile units, artillery, mounted units, shielded units, barricades, trenches, tight formations of infantry with polearms and later gunpowder weapons.
The basic slashes, the simple ones without the spins and theatrics are direct. The thrusts are stylized making them unnecessarily difficult to use, but not impossible. The basic blocking (holding block button), catching incoming strikes with the blade is one of the main ways to intercept incoming strikes, fine.
The parries & counters that involve side stepping slashes are wishful thinking. And being able to consistently counter with a single, instantly lethal strike, on armoured enemies no less, is a fantasy.
No distances. No movement. No timing. No defence. No combinations. No set ups. No feints. No variation in attacked targets, attacking angles or attacks. Just parry and counter, not reliable to manage consistently against someone actually fighting. Just looks nice in fake demonstrations. When people fight, everybody gets hit until one side lands damaging enough strikes, or a damaging enough strike to hinder the other's ability to fight. That's realistic. If you don't train for that, you're training a fantasy. unless you're training to develop armour to resist attacks.
@@7dayspkingdid you even play the game !? Do you ever trained with a tachi or katana!? I did, and movement is spot on, he is doing all kind of movements like cugiashi, tenkan, parries are spot on and counter downward and upper slash, swiping with a foot, armpit slash. Yes its more stylized to look like movie cinematic just to be more interesting, and game also has lethal combat, where everyone dies with 2 maybe 3 slashes. You are just oblivious or did not even play the game.
I dont get all the hate for rise of the ronin. They're both very similar but also different. The graphics in ghost of tsushima is obvious better but I love the fact there character customization in rise of the ronin. So in my opinion they're both good it just depends what your in the mood for

Lol the Ronin horse is gagging like that guy that swallows his food without chewing on all of those shorts and TikToks.
if you compare.... both using 60fps ,
30 fps vs 60 Fps its not fair lmao
Both games are playable at 60 fps. But Rise of the Ronin performance on PS5 isn't that good honestly
@@kushorises9871PS5 locks the fps cap to 30
Face models Jin is better than the last ronin character because the last ronin character looks like he came out of an anime something like resident evil 4
you can customize the face in the last ronin
Still the same thing even if you fix the face they all come out looking like tekken 8 characters
