I don’t think you can store luggage at NMEC, just small bags while you are touring that you pick up before leaving. I do not know of any public storage options either, sorry. I always end up storing things at the hotel or accommodations, or leaving it with the private driver. Anyone else have more info?

I visited this museum in October and was so thoroughly impressed with not just the historical contents but the design of the building itself. It is one of the most impressive museums I have ever visited ! The architect created an open airy space ..to make viewing so enjoyable.

No. Each museum will have its own items and focus. The kings and queens in NMEC are mostly from a dynasty that defended Egypt and kicked out the Hiksos. King Tut’s full collection will be at GEM.

Sure! I use an iPhone 11 Pro and that’s it! No special microphone or any equipment. I have to speak very loudly to get the phone to pick up my voice enough for the videos. I would love to use more professional equipment, but in Egypt using something other than just a phone can often come under scrutiny by the police or military, and I prefer to fly more under the radar. Are you planning a trip to Egypt soon?

I don’t think they will ever allow this, unfortunately. The last time I was there back in March it still was not allowed and they said that it was going to never be allowed.
@@fernandaclaudius8673 there is security (metal detector and potentially a pat down) when you enter the museum. My advice, just don’t worry about photographing or taking video of the mummies, and just enjoy seeing them in person 😇.

@@EgyptAdventuresTravel may i suggest somthing that many travel vloggers aren't doing when they are in cairo which is showing other modern parts of greater cairo like 6th october/sheikh zayed, new cairo/obour extentions which are 25 yro expansion of cairo. I think that not lots of foreigners know the scope of greater cairo where the old meets the new.
I was here few weeks ago... It was an amazing experience, Egypt is a beautiful country and have the greatest history of all

Yes, it was disappointing for sure, but I understand that the space is small in each gallery and that they want to be respectful of the bodies.
