I've said this before quite some time ago, Kevin should get a medal. Working outside on an uneven surface in the fickle English weather, the cold drizzling rain, everything damp. And he does this every day. Amazing bloke. Cheers from Australia.
Hi Kevin, I am an Uber Eats delivery driver so I depend on my car to pay my bills. On Friday my release bearing went which left my 1.6L Hyundai Getz unusable and left me unable to work. I did not have $1200 to pay a mechanic to fix my car (at Christmas time) so I decided to do it myself. Although the car is different on your video, not much was different on the Getz apart from where the slave cylinder is located. With little car knowledge I was able to change over my clutch and release bearing in 3 days and saved $900 because of this video. What I learnt in the 3 day process was priceless. So I wanted to say thank you so much for uploading this! I couldn’t have fixed my car without this video. God bless!

great job and very well detailed from the Basque country in Spain congratulations for showing your professionalism if there is a toyota rav 4 4x4 thank you and waiting for a new adventure
You do well Kev to get thru them jobs with gloves on - is this something you’ve persevered with over time - I end up tearing the latex ones off as soon as dexterity comes in to play 👏🏻
Mark it’s a fine art.😁😂😁.. especially those thick red gloves. Keeps the fingers warm tho. Some of the black and blue nitrile are rubbish to be fair. 🍻🍻🍻
Hi Kevin, I came across your channel yesterday and I was amazed at the clarity and detail in this video. I am about to take on this job on my mom's Hyundai Matrix 1.6 and I would like to know if you have any advice for me? It will be my first time attempting such a major job. Can I tackle it all by myself and what tools do I need? I must say out of all the videos on car mechanic diy your video stood out top of them all😊 Mons here, all the way from South Africa😀
Dear Mr. Kavin, my name is Pradapkarthikeyan i am ifrom India my age is 42 iam also mechanic, i am working in this field past 18 year i am following your video regularly you are working very hard and very sincerly may i know your age and your working experience all the very best for your future videos thanks.
Oh, this video gives me nightmares thinking about the future that waits me when I need such a change. No Mr. Williams around here in Germany. 😔😃 Tell us how did you manage these last few heated days with all the clothe you usually wear? Great work, great vid. Cheers.
Well done Kevin just finished Saturday's and today's video great videos again pal have a great weekend look forward to next weekends videos take care mate 👍
Hi mate. You are a magician. Thank you so much for making this video. I have subscribed. So close to 100k, Keep going mate. It is exactly what I need doing to my 2007-2008 Hyundai getz. I have a question. How many hours labour did this take . Also please forgive me but I am a woman and I'm not too bad with my own cars. I get by by asking lots of insane questions. once the clutch plates are out, is that where the main seal is . Just wondering if I'm thinking right????
That’s ok. No problem at all. The rear main seal is located behind the flywheel. Once the gearbox is out. Then the flywheel can be removed. In average repair time on them is about 4 hrs roughly.
I have two questions for Mr Williams. 1) Why have you decided not to replace the fly wheel in this case? 2) This recording is a little more than 1 hour in length. Which was the real length of time for this repair job?
I only replace Dual mass flywheel. This was a solid one. Unless it’s sustained some severe abuse there’s no need to replace. Actual repair about 3.5hrs
Hi Kevin, How much Audi A4 B6's clutch/flywheel job costs roughly? Second question, between LUK, Sachs and Valeo flywheel, which one lasts longer (regardless of driving style)? Cheers
@@castrolgtx5064 That's a fair price. I Live In the Netherlands and the same job with parts can easily cost up to 3k. Now I'm looking to have this job done somewhere else.
@@ardmrad9278 wow €3k? at indie here in Croatia labor wouldn't cost more than €300 probably less, only if it is engine out job; then in would cost more. We are broke here 😂
Im sure these are not real cars, just pretty much torture devices in the shape of a car. People own what they own its fair enough, but some cars do make me question, why?

Great job 👏
I'm replacing a clutch on a getz 1.6 tomorrow att work.
They gave me 6 hours too finish the job.
You did this in halv that time 👏
In my opinion, Quinn is the most professional mechanic in changing disks and plates in the world. It should be recorded in Guinness World Records
Quinn😂😁🍻
Man…. You are a legend mate!!! Still telling people over here in Germany about you and nobody believes me until I show them your videos!
Thanks mate. I really appreciate your support

Some serious filming and editing here. Not to mention all the work on the vehicle.
Thanks a lot for the feedback. Definitely quite a lot involved with the filming.
Definitely deserve a follow for the quality job and video. 👌👍
some great filming of just how overcomplicated the removal of the gearbox can be, thumbs up from me Kevin👍
That was definitely an over engineered car for its size.
great job and very well detailed

Thank you foe the feedback. Much appreciated. No 4x4 rav4. It’s an engine out job. 🍻🍻🍻
Great job as always. 🍻
Little side story. I've did clutch on my Fiesta, 2 days later rear ended at totaled out. 🤦♂️😢😄
Nooo. Really. What happened.

as always kevin amazing but seems like so many things to do love the basic flywheel good old days
Hi mate. ., great to hear from you. A lot of German cars are slowly reverting back to solid flywheel. They’re just making the clutch more robust.
What an exotic pump!🤣🤣 i ve never seen such a box on the road in bavarian forest!!! its a very stressful disassembling!!!!
Very nice. Very nice 😊🍻🍻🍻
Awesome another night of watching a great video👍

This Hyundai is a nightmare to replace the clutch, but amazing job done
Thanks mate. It was a bit involved on the gearbox mount brackets.
Gday Kevin, can I ask what that tool was that you used at 29:50? is it required for the job? Cheers mate
Yes mate. Really important to have one of them. You can get it off eBay. Clutch alignment tool. Maybe a couple of euros.

Hi Kevin! Sorry to ask this question here...how do you take out a axle if the snap ring is stuck?
It will come out. You just have to be persistent with it.
