I don't know why but my skills improve by a lot even though you explain things I already know. It's like you have a way of lifting the fog in my mind. Thanks for these videos, you are really making a positive impact on our lives.
The first thing is definitely something I feel most people already know, yeah. But it really is the foundation of a leg drawing for me. If I feel confused, just always referring back to that has proven helpful.
Hey man, great tutorial! I was wondering if you could make a tutorial on the torso/waist? I often get confused on whenever I'm trying to bend a character in a dynamic way. Thanks!
Thank you. For years I studied the proportions of the leg and you broke it down to something so simple. Of my hard time and struggle I'd like to award you with a honorary Oscar. Again thankyou, and more leg vids please.
I have to give thanks to you times 100 because I have scoured the internet for years looking at drawing tutorials only to still have questions or confusion about how to draw the human body. Not anymore! Your videos and your channel are a BLESSING! You have become my UA-cam drawing instructor! I LOVE how you explain the why and how when it comes to drawing every part of the body. You do it in such a way that makes it easy and my brain locks in, unlike the countless other videos I've watched in the past. You are the only one I need to follow when learning how to draw the human body. I have become a dedicated student! Thank you so much.
After drawing terrible looking legs, I finally decided to face my fears and started with your tutorial and as always you break it down so well that even with simple lines, I’m able to understand the structure and construct the leg in drawing with little hassle! Of course I’ll need more practice but I feel like I’ve taken a big step compared to 10 mins ago before this video….
DUDE I am so glad I found your channel! I struggle so much to draw the legs, especially female legs/hips. THANK YOU! I'd love to see a tutorial on drawing female hips for that matter
One of the best videos on legs I've seen. Explains things and doesn't just draw them, or gets into too much detail that won't help a beginner. You just got a sub for that 👍
Ur super underrated man, ur tips are so simple to understand, i like how u always find a shortcut to stuff that i also find easy to grasp. Thank you so much
Took like 5 months off drawing and came back to learning basics again and i remember doing this subconciously now after seeing your video, thank you cuz ive been so tilted at my legs and that I cant seem to like think properly when drawing them
Tbh the Sartorius muscle and TFL are the only things that I often use as a guide. But this video gave me a new way to simplify drawing legs even more! Yet I still have problems drawing the hamstrings 😂
Been going through the ringer of from video to video talking about improving art and it all boils down to anatomy (along with perspective) if you want to level up your art and, the fact that you can simplify it to these 2 details is an amazing starting point for a beginner artist such as myself to not get overwhelmed. This gives a good morale boost too and eventually snowball into diving deeper into anatomy in general for me once I want to get more in depth. Thanks for the good quality tutorial.
First the brachioradialus and now the sartorius! Lately I've been experimenting with more ambitious composition. I can do neutral standing/walking postures and conversational arm gestures (and I finally got my head wrapped around perspective) so I figured the next logical step is more dynamic/extreme poses. Jumping, climbing, crouching, etc. But my results have been hit-and-miss; I knew there were aspects I wasn't aware of, things I didn't know how to do holding me back. Then your arm video showed up in my feed, and I'm so glad it did! Between that one and this, I now can visualize the anchor points and interactions of the muscle-groups and joints in placing the limbs. Can't wait to see what's next!
@@emiliodekureart It’s so satisfying. Do you think you could do a video on like crossed body parts? Like arms crossed or legs crossed? Oh also you should add some more art time lapses. I still rewatch your Mob psycho one. The hand is very nice in it
Holy, this is the best tutorial I've seen! So easy to follow for a beginner and actually makes a lot of sense, thank you! Any chance you'll do one for faces/heads someday? :))
Yeah, I feel like I could've perhaps moved that point a bit further down, maybe even a bit further in too. 🤔 Same with the second pic right after that.
these videos are so helpful, i genuinely cannot thank you enough. anatomy is something that i have been struggling with for a while and nothing i have dont has helped, tips from friends, other tutorials, advice from teachers so on and so on. these videos have opened up a new perspective on how to approach anatomy. thank you so much for the help you have changed the whole concept of anatomy for me 10/10 formatting, perfect explanation and just the right amount of visual and verbal information to not overwhelm my brains. also i hope this wont come across as disingenuous considering all i just said but could you make a torso breakdown? i would appreciate thats so much. thank you for your service, god bless and godspeed!
😭 Love that these videos click with you! I've seen quite a few comments on a few videos asking about the torso, so yeah, I think that might be next! I just gotta figure out what exactly I want to focus on. 😅 Stay tuned!
It's just line confidence built up over time. 😊 Scratchy lines are a sign of unconfidence in your ability to draw the right line the first time. That's a bit unrealistic, even for me, though. 😅

You’re literally god sent. My god. You have the skill, the flow, and the teaching. I don’t know who you are, but imma find you and hug you.
Lmaaoo, thanks a bunch. 😅😁🙏
Even just looking at your thumbnail is helpful, haha! Really appreciate your ability to simplify and have very expressive lines. Really great stuff!!
Loool, thanks so much! The thumbnail always stresses me out. 😅
"What do I do this time...?" 😂

Thank you Im currently struggling to put all parts of the body together, this insight just make it easier for me to understand legs!
I love all of your tutorials Emilio, your style is my favorite of all out there. I wish we can see more!
Your insta art tutorials and videos are amazing!! Thank you! It really helps for a hobbyist like me
I've finished the video. Just want to say thank you again for how helpful these are. I'll rewatch it later.

Please do more of these, this is fantastic content!
These videos are super helpful! the simplifications make it easier to do dinamically. Can you do one for the feet?
Thank you, i always have trouble locating the second point on the pelvis in most angles. this helped ^^
Just woke up to this! Thank you 💖💖💖

Awesome video! Super helpful now I just gotta look at some reference to study other poses

Yo man this is a great tutorial thank you! I think at 3:40 tho you pointed at the obliques the point is a little further down.
Yeah, I feel like I could've perhaps moved that point a bit further down, maybe even a bit further in too. 🤔 Same with the second pic right after that.

What brush do you use! It seems really simple and fun to use!
YESSS!!
plese. we need how to draw knee
yor vidieo is so good
I can’t seem to control my lines in procreate. I use infinite painter and have no issue.
Have you tried upping the stability on Procreate. That's very strange, I've never had a problem with Procreate. 🤔
@@emiliodekureart yeah I just don’t like the way it feels. Infinite painter feels more natural, but I prefer procreates UI. It’s cleaner looking.
How doing you do those clean lines. My lines are always scratchy
It's just line confidence built up over time. 😊 Scratchy lines are a sign of unconfidence in your ability to draw the right line the first time.
That's a bit unrealistic, even for me, though. 😅
If you're good at art that means you have no skill issue 😭
Since when did I post this!?😭
