- It's not often we try something from a smaller distillery that competes with the best whiskey of the year! Could this Bourbon have won best bourbon of 2022 if we had it? If you caught our last Monday you already know how we sort of feel about this bottle, shout out to Ivan for helping us get this!

Short trip down 23 and BTACs 21 bucks a pour
You mentioned Coffee, May I ask do you guys drink / enjoy coffee? My guy with a passion isn’t a coffee guy is why I ask … so torn on if I should attempt to get fall 2023? I know they are all different but curious thoughts on coffee notes on nose, palate & finish? Thank you!! Love your channel!
I missed out on batch 2. I cried like a bitch! For days.
Scored this for $80 months ago, very please. Guess i wont be able to find it again after this video.
Americus, GA
13th DO is their own distillate and roughly 9.5 years old. Divine 👌
I'm glad you guys liked it, I'll send a batch 2 when I get it instead of waiting for dan to believe me when I said it was amaaaazing
Is there a waitlist I can get on? Lol
Where in Georgia is a good place to look? I'm in north Florida
Can a playa get a nip?
@maaudio500 savannah area has dried up I would look for stores out in the boonies
Thanks for hooking the boys up!! Is it a posibility in Florida?
The heat we have in Georgia really lends to the aging process. I would not be surprised if these bottles are top of the rickhouse barrels
I've enjoyed Thirteenth Colony Rye. The bottle shape is a real pain.
Got one, tried it, got two backups. Shared it with my buddy and he begged me to trade one of my backups to him, and I'm still kicking myself for letting it go lol
Could have, would have, should have…..
Batch 2 releasing in fall 2023, according to their website.
Can't wait!
Fantastic bottle. It's 100% made by 13th Colony. Cheers, y'all!
At this rate that wooden box dan spills the whiskey on could make some specialty "infinity" barrel staves 😅
Get ready for all the "I went to TWO gas stations and neither one even heard of this stuff" comments... BTW, listed one at least one website for $550 and it's sold out... Wow.
The 13th colony DO is awesome! Just awesome. The regular 13th colony is also really good too.
Their sour mash wheated bourbon 105 proof is 9 years for 45. Their prices are great.
Stroopwafel!!!
Very fortunate to have a backup. Picked it up for 100. I don’t feel bad. Halfway through of my first one
Best thing of 2022. So happy I’ve drained one, and have two left.
My friend and i are on our second bottle. This is an amazing find and my favorite release of the year. Cost to flavor is impressive.
You had me at Stroopwafel....
I saw a bottle of this a little while ago for less than $80. I passed on it because I'd never heard of them and Georgia is not one if the first places I think of when I think of quality whiskey....in further news, this is not the first time I've been wrong. I'm really sad now because I haven't seen it since and likely will not see it again.😢
whats that tiny meatball in your beard?
WLW in San Diego......$165/oz. Couldn't pull the trigger.
Yikes that's high
shiiiit never gonna find it now shhh
There is a batch 2 coming that we have high hopes for!
13th Colony knows how to do it!
Really solid offerings all around from them
Found STAGG today store pick at that
That bottle is like 600 00 bucks in stores and online.
Question from a noob. . . Are you sipping on higher proof bourbons before diving in to a bottle like this to get acclimated to the proof or just diving off the deep end and drinking this as a first drink of the night? Hope that question makes sense. . .
You just go straight in. Might take a bit to get the technique down, but once you do, man! the flavor intensity in barrel proof (or really anytime you go up by more than >15 proof in an A/B comparison) makes everything else taste like water.
I (like most people presumably) started with an ice cube in the 80-90 proof range. Then eventually you drop the ice/water (a drop of water does change flavors though, so sometimes helpful/interesting). Then you start climbing the proof ladder.
Derek's comment is 100% on point.
I was going to leave a similar comment, but he nailed it.
Just dive in, and after a few years the heat will disappear.
We'll normally have something around 100 proof before we start just to wake our pallets up.
Until accustomed to higher proof, take sips the size you would of SCREAMING hot coffee. Slowly increase sip size and si- water AFTER the aftertaste goes away to cool your throat back down, lest you’ll get a harsh “sore throat” feeling.
You should have a freeze screen of the bourbon you are showcasing. Cause you're kinda saying what it is but we have to figure out spelling via your intoxicated accent.
Pretty sure there are like 2 slow mo shots of the label, but in case you missed it. 13th colony double oak. Also not intoxicated, just talk that way. Thanks!
The website has a store-finder! The nearest retailer is a mere 350 miles from me. F.
Wonder if I go to the distillery, I can find some. Driving through Georgia next week
Probably have a better chance of finding the Coy Hill
CREED in a bottle
Sourced from Wyoming Whiskey, its a wheated bourbon, I spoke to the distillery, they will be coming out with a CS rye soon
Their Sour Mash is their Wyoming sourced (Says it on the bottle). The DO is their product. The Sour Mash is the one they recently discontinued so there is only a little bit of it left in the market.
I've never wanted to go to GA, until today 🤩
Got 4 bottles for 69.99 each in Brunswick, hour drive, well worth it
How many 100s of dollars of whiskey has been poured carelessly over the years? So sad.
I mean over 5 years we've had airlines break more than we've ever spilled!
I will try to find it guys . Bryant Illinois, Thanks
My bottle got shipped this morning. Thank god I pulled the trigger this weekend. Was wayyyyy overpriced but it is what it is.
Where or what website did u order it from?
Can’t find it in jersey anywhere. Boooo
Does anybody know if they distribute to Missouri? Never seen it on a shelf here
The desk pour was for all the homies lol!
Was fortunate enough to find someone to bring a bottle of TC-DO to Kansas City. My advice for those seeking, make friends with people in Georgia. Batch #2 while increased volume, now everyone knows this bourbon is legit top shelf. There was a press release from Batch #1 (put double gold in your search) that shares what Georgia stores got these bottles... study it and plan accordingly. If you have friends at Ft. Benning or Ft. Stewart, that could benefit your search in the Fall.
It’s their liquid.
Where can we find this?
How does one find this bottle anyone have it for trade let me know I’m in NE ohio
Georgia only release
The secret is that it's aged in an old bat guano building
Any views on the Mercer and Prince whiskey?
I'm gonna get some of all of their stuff
Just received the 13th Colony Southern Bourbon Whiskey that I had to order online. Cannot wait to crack it open.
Ivan’s lucky Dan didn’t just go out and buy one after he sent it to him…..
I’d pay $200 for it if I could ever find it
they'll price the next batch at $120
Hope not, but in all honesty it's worth it.
When’s batch 2 coming? Might make a trip to Georgia 😂
Not sure hopefully soon cause we want more!
I bought a bottle of their rye a couple of years ago and really liked it quite a bit, but since then I haven't seen much of their stuff on the shelves at all.
I honestly thought that they had gone out of business or something. Maybe they had to cut distribution to TX?
They are still in TX at a good number of Spec's locations.
Only the rye. Their standard bourbon is coming soon. My specs has tons of the rye
I was with you until you mentioned Creed. Too bad.
Found this over the weekend at MSRP. Kicking myself for not buying all of them.
In GA? Hard to believe there are any left anywhere in the state.
I wonder how far I'd have to travel from Lincoln Nebraska to find this?
Sold out currently, batch 2 on the way, only in GA.
@@travisrobeson306 awesome. So not in my lifetime.
"You think it's top 10 of the year?"
Yeah, absolutely top 5.
"You're right, it's absolutely top 3 of the year."
Only 1,800 bottles were made...ughhhh
Batch 2 coming in the next few months
@@BourbonJunkies right...another 1,800 or so bottles to "flood" the market
@@HarryBallsonya6969 I heard they will have double what they did year 1 and it should be in some other states like TX, AR, and TN as well for the next one.
I'm lucky enough to have gotten 2 of these before they sold out here in GA for $80/ea. Cheers to 13th Colony for a great product and I am excited for batch #2 this year.
is it an instant sell out everywhere?
Yeah same. I got them for 70 a piece. There was 4. I wish i grabbed them all instead of 2
@@Crateria Nope, they sat for 2-3 weeks while people figured out how good they were and went back for seconds. They will probably sell out this year.
@@Holleywood_ they will NOW for sure!
I paid $32 for 1.5oz of 22’ GTS a few weekends ago in Ohio!
Didn't find it in Europe. Kinda sad. I would buy it 4 sure
