" You don't have to land the trick , the beauty is in the attempt " can almost apply anywhere in life 🙏✌
@dennis wright you got Varial heels down? ..I gotta work on those. Love that trick. More of a kickflip guy but heels are so slept on.
Thank you for this. I’m gonna share the quote. Seems we look for the outcome in things and lose the joy of the creative process in the Now.
Dave-“I’d hate to be famous like these people!”
Joe-“Dude, you’re the most famous one here!” Speaks volumes about Dave’s character and humility!
Chappelle is so charming. Not only a funny comedian but an intelligent man , relaxed, objective, FREE THINKER and speaking his mind. Refreshing and giving us hope for the future.
I think being a free thinker goes beyond speaking your mind. He is very deliberate with his words. He knows his history too.
People want money ,and things in life. I want friends like these two to hang out with.
Boiii you know dam well that if you had one wish you would not say that shit get the F outta heeeaaaa no mames
@@normalguycap they can sit, have a drink and talk with eachother because theyre rich? i can tell you have no friends if you think you need to be rich to do this
Love how knowledgeable, intelligent, straightforward, and old school Chappelle is!! Can listen to him for hours. Rogan a great too!! Love them!
Fatima is a badass name. And i totally agree chappelle is like the good village elder.
Saw Dave twice and he was like that onstage, like I was in his living room and he was talkin' and telling stories, a seriously warm human being with brains and heart.
These dudes are really good friends thats cool to see
If you have friends you can hang out with like this, your life is good.
It’s such an underrated thing to have. My friends and I will sit in my brothers garage or basement smoking and shooting the shit talking about random stuff like this.
Dave hardly aged all these years, but you can definitely notice that he aged from his voice. Such a legend and I feel lucky to witness someone like him in my lifetime.
@Agent 39 there can be dark marks on the skin once you've reached 50 years. I've seen it on my father, the marks is spreading particularly on both hands and neck
His aging is pretty apparent to me. He gets goofier looking with every 5 years.
@@brandiphillips5775 I thought he looked goofier in his 20's when he's skinnier wearing baggy clothes 😄
@@haroldlipschitz9301 yeah, smoking cigarettes for years definitely influence the voice change. But pure aging does the same, just not as rapidly
"The beauty is in the attempt" -Chappelle
@@JasonGwynne not to imbeciles, so feel free to carry on being unapologetically ignorant bud 🤙🏻
@@Starfock your hate is going to eat you from the inside. Go on then
The way Chapelle speaks, not just his command of English but also the droll, almost lazy accented delivery makes him so easy and awesome to listen to. I could listen to this guy talk about the ironing, and I wouldn’t be able to stop listening.
missed opportunity to expand on that club scene Dave was talking about.
Dave never age and its incredible, i just love his wisdom and his good old school vibe. He stays, true no matter what greetings from norway
"You started doing them James Dean turns" lmfao I'm dead
'Dude,you the famous person here'
This put me in tears 🥺
I was hoping for dave to yell out ,,oh joe rogan you're crazy!"
Both are so Relaxed together....Feels like we are having a Peek into a Private conversation...Dave is 1 of my Favorite people on the Planet
I can listen to Dave tell stories all day very knowledgeable
DAVE just gets wiser with each passing year, an old soul
@@brianjirish Your gullibility is going to get you killed. You're completely brainwashed about what's safe and what isn't, not to mention what works and what doesn't.
@@MatthewC137 Sooooo taken pfizer which was recommended by my "DR" for COVID is some how "gullibility" over taken a horse pill that does not work on the human body? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@brianjirish Exactly. What you don't realize is just how ignorant most doctors are. The reason is that the vast majority blindly accept the words of "authorities" above them, for example, Fauci and medical journals that are as corrupt as Fauci himself.
You would have NEVER taken the shot had you done your homework like a big boy. Thousands of doctors and real experts know the risks and are censored by the criminal media that you trust. Dr. Ryan Cole found out about the extreme risks for himself in his laboratory.
Your ignorance about that "horse pill" is beyond embarrassing and completely due to your blind gullibility and brain washing.
Good luck, NPC dude.

You speak all about Dr. Fauci corruption but you don't back any of this with evidence? Just "conspiracy theories". Show us the "evidence". It's the same BS that trump spew about election fraud. Trump said he had "5,000" dead people voting ballots from Georgia alone who voted for Pres. Biden but never showed this evidence in court when "republican" Judges would ask for this "evidence". 61 court cases for trump to back up his claims and not once did trump present his evidence that "trump himself said he has"?????? SMH Just show us the evidence. Most Americans don't wanna hear "coulda, shoulda, woulda conspiracy theories". 😴😴😴😴😴
7:06 that truly shows Dave’s humility man
Dave: going deep on some comedy information.
Joe: yeah Seinfeld has cool cars man
Rogan and Chappelle are probably two of the most charismatic and entertaining people on Earth. Having them both together for a chat is awesome.
Jesus. Imagine being able hang out with Dave for an evening with some drinks.
Dave is truly a national treasure, I knew he was highly intelligent just based off his prior comedy specials, but what really got me was on letterman’s Netflix show “my next guest needs no introduction”, how he spoke about life, and people was so incredibly precise, and his open honestly about his own life, struggles, etc. was eye opening in a great way and made me that much more of a fan of his
He is one of the best comedians of all time.
Thank you Joe for not talking over Dave Chappelle
What an in-depth casual conversation?! Simply great!
I love their chemistry together
Dave and Joey Diaz together talking stories would be worth a long podcast
Dave's mind is so brilliant and wise.. Enjoy hearing him talk.
i just realized dave is to rogan what rogan is to schaub 😂
You've gotta remember: Joe was on Chapelle's Show back when nobody knew who Dave was. Joe was moderately famous from Fear Factor and The Man Show, not to mention News Radio, so he was actually the bigger "celebrity" back then. Remember the New York Boobs sketch? First ep of Season 1, Joe was there.
@@GavinMichelliArt Dave was already one of the best stand ups on the planet by the point he started the show while at the same time making all those movies he did.
It's not that deep, Dave and Joe have been old friends for a long tine.
@@andresmendozaondatube yup, only little kids didn't know who Dave was at that time.
It would be awesome to hang out with dave. One of the funniest human beings alive and seems so down to earth.
This is why Dave is greatest comedian of my time and one of the best to ever do it💯
Meltdown comics had a similar environment. Most of the acts were young or new comics, but sometimes a big time comic would come in and try material out. Saw Robin Williams, Patton Oswalt, and Zach Galifianakis randomly on various nights. Miss that place.
This guys are genuine friends
Dave: "joe i need a DD lets go"
Joe: "we were so high"
I love watching these two together they are some down to earth guys bro. Talking about smoking weed and driving thru the hills on back roads 😂😂#classic
Dave just had “it” he’s not just an amazing comedian but just an outstanding story teller. You can’t help but just hang on his every word. Reminds me of like old books where bards would just tell story’s for entertainment since there was no tvs or phones or electricity. And people couldn’t help but be entranced and forcibly pulled into a world the story teller creates. It’s awesome.
The French would say he has a certain "je ne sais quoi"
"A certain I don't know what"
I have never thought dave as a comedian. I always felt he is a story teller who uses humor as a mean with an underlying message and because of that I started looking for the bigger picture in all acts and thats when I realized Dave is an all time great cz not everyone can show u the bigger picture.
That's the dumbest fucking thing I've ever heard.
He's a comedian who tells stories, not the other way around.
Believe me, if he just started if straight stories with no jokes, he'd be less popular than if he just started telling jokes with no stories.
@@kozhikkaalan thank you. I am not that knowledgeable on western comedians. will surely check him out.
Dave doesn’t want to be famous like those people, has his own declared Dave Chappelle day in Washington D.C. he is a once in a lifetime rarity, Griot. I’m proud to share the same timeline as him
yoooo Joe's 'car fixing' sound effect tho was on point! lol
ijs
I loved hearing the passion Dave speaks into comedy. He is comedy! The love of the intricacies of comedy, awesome.
That last part had me dying! Legends!
That James Dean line is so underrated when you know how James dean passed away. Love Chappelle sense of humor
I've been saying the same thing about Leno for years now. I'm happy for the man.
Dave’s voice to me; is therapeutical
Superb cut, bro. I loved this topic. Thank you for sharing, friend!
Hahah joe and Leno geeking out over lines😂😂
Two guys just talking about life and clearly … under the influence. Good Shit!
These 2 are real buddies great stuff
Met marlen at a club in Vegas. We were hangin and smokin. Super cool and kind dude. Really laid back too.
Joe rogan has the best podcast and peeps. Thanks man
Chappelle is the GOAT
I love that "the beauty is in the attempt".
I loved this encounter so much. That Hollywood party story was great!
The way Joe described Jay Leno’s outfit made me lmao
When DC talks about comedy, it's like Picasso talking about a painting... you can hear the love in his voice that he has for the craft.
Accept actually make good paintings... not "smear some shit and paint crooked faces and have em sold 100 years after you're dead for $100mil."
@@mrichar9 The quality of the craft has nothing to do with what I said...
He said James Dean turns! Classic. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Two iconic voices and legendary artists sharing thought. Love it
Love Mr. Chappelle he is the GOAT!!
Gotta love this guy. Brilliant brother!
Dave Chappelle, American treasure!
You can tell Dave is on a whole other level than Joe.
I never liked Joe's comedy that much, it wasn't that bad but eeeh, it wasn't great either
They are both on a different level from each other. While Dave may be the better comedian. Joe has a bigger influence thus controversy over his podcast and who his guests are. Even to the point where he was suggested to host a presidential debate
Man i think i would love to hear some book or nature documentary narrated by dave. Hes got a good voice, i never noticed before ^^
Two of the greatest pioneers of my generation 💯
I’m thankful for Richard Pryor and Eddie Murphy. If not for those guys the world would have never got to witness the birth of another legend. All the funny moments and movies he did came from being inspired by other greats. Long live chappelle. #TheDaveChappellePodcast.
How cool would it be to just have a drunk, friendly Dave Chappelle randomly show up at your house from time to time.
"man, you're the most famous person here" 🤣🤣🤣
This is like Michael Jordan talking to some dude on a court
“Who does that” 😂 😂
Shout out to Steve. Lived at my dad's when he moved to California. Hit em... Hard!
i would love to see a charlie murphy type storied skit with the naomi campbell party story.
So Proud my boy is from DC
I can see Marlon watching the start of this on repeat. Giddy as all world. I would too, Dave has to be one of the coolest dudes to receive a compliment from.
Yes he is about the black struggle....but the GOAT goes deeper if u listen....its about freedom of thought and speech....and the right to be funny...
I remember Joe told this story about the party wth Dave, on an older podcast.
Love the end the most. Love you guys
Joe: Seinfeld does that “cars, comedians getting cars, in cars getting coffee” 😦
5:10 Joe Rogan garage sound impression here was good!
The beauty is in the attempt is a very wise statement
what a legend
True down to earth celebrities/comedians 👍
They seem like best buddies. Lol
Chappelle: Speaks about a really interesting, insightful, clever deconstruction of alterative performance/audience dynamics in comedy.
Rogan: You ever been in a car with Leno?
I'm a fan of Joe, but I feel he missed the point of what Dave was saying here. I really wish they stayed on topic about the alternative vs mainstream approaches to comedy and how audiences behave.
Car talk, I love it!
Dave is so knowledgeable about the comedy world! He is impressive!
Chappelle talking to Rogan about comedy is like Issac Newton talking to Bill Nye about physics.
Damn… what a moment in life. Everyone, please find your moment and soak it in…
What makes Dave great is he slips into the attitude of where he should be in his life. You look at his early stuff, and he talks and delivers like a young man. He has the energy of a young man. When you look at his recent material, he delivers like a wise sage, but still giving a glimpse of that childish humor that made us laugh 20 years ago. Some comics don't know how to evolve. They don't know how to change because they're afraid of letting go of what got them noticed in the beginning. Dave stood on top of a mountain only to see there was an even higher mountain, but he first had to climb down the mountain he currently stood on and had to hone his skills in order to make it to the top of the taller mountain. He knew the skills required to make it to the top of the first mountain wouldn't be enough to make it up the taller mountain.
Joe loved talking about the naomi campbell chappelle story...and now he finally has dave on to talk about it lol
Every can agree if Dave asks you to go out with him YOU GO!
Joe : "Have you Done Jay Leno's Garage?"
Dave: ".... no...
I saw Dave at Radford University in like 04 or early 05 or something.. was a sophomore there.. We took blunt after blunt in there.. had started a keg and a couple lines of of coke.. lol.. a piece but I’d also seen Ludacris when I was 16 and living in Alleghany County.. and I nerdy kinda love that it was in the same basketball stadium.
And the same year I saw Dave, I saw Chong have a debate with the newest of past DEA HEAD AGENTS.. it was fn incredible.. and the wild yet able to prove stories haven’t even started in those timelines.. 🚬😆
I wish I had a mate like Dave Chappelle
I remember one of the comedian said being with Dave Chappelle, one will always have story to tell. Dave always be that kind of friend who makes you think that life is too short to be lived boringly.
What’s awesome is that Joe told the story of that night years ago.
We all know Chappelle is one of the best to do it. But when you hear him talk about comedy, you understand why.
He loves his craft
I agree Chappelle is way to go
It’s his craft and he continues to master it . It’s a art to him , same way an athlete trains to be dominant in their sport , to the best it’s a challenge.
@Station View norm mcdonald is greatest then carlin and i have Dave on third place
That's the most profoundly accurate description of Dave Chappelle I've ever heard ♥️
