I feel like Chapelle's recent show was almost like a tribute to Patrice . Patrice and Dave come from virtually the same cloth (comedian/philosopher) when it comes to having a no filter towards any topic. When Patrice passed away there was not a comedian who was putting on big specials/ out in the public making people laugh with that type of comedy , besides Dave whom was retired at the time. One of the funniest things I ever heard was when Patrice was on tough crowd. He was sitting next to Jim Norton. And Jim was going off. Patrice turned to him and said “shut up you white shelless turtle”. I cried laughing. How funny and accurate depiction of Jim Norton. I would encourage everyone to listen to his black dr Phil recordings. Hilarious.
