I own nothing but 1911s and I bought one of these just to have it for something different to carry. Sometimes 1911s are funny about feeding hollow points, this gun eats everything. I got the red dot version so in another 10 yrs I can hit what I'm aiming at. Thanks for the review. God bless.
@Joe K Really nice that yours is an OSP version. 👍 I don't think they're making the 45acp version anymore from what I see on the website. Thanks for watching, greatly appreciate it!
As always I'm glad to see the ladies involved in firearms a I support their interest, The XD series have done pretty we since hitting the market as I've owned at least 2 of the XD original versions a 4 in .357 SIG was a great pistol and still I have the 5 in tactical in 40 S&W with a Hogue combat grip installed. I would take that pistol into battle anytime, it runs like a champ. I believe for a carry pistol the XDS or Hellcat make an excellent choose in the price range if it is what a person desires it will serve them well for a long time.
I own and have carried the XDS 3.3 in 45.A.C.P. It's small size, weight and caliber was the reason I chose it. Many small .45 A.C.P. have a reliability issue this does not. As far as the loaded chamber indicator it is not an issue because most holsters have a channel for the front sight and the angle prevents snagging went pulling out of a holster. Great choice for small framed people.
I do not own this springfield but do have a springfield 1911 which is dependable. Another great carry 45 acp is the sw m&p shield 2.0. I have a 3” 45 acp desert eagle 1911, but I do not use it in my carry rotation because I rotate between my 45 acp shield and a cz rami. It is a very good 1911 though.
@Will William I used to own a M&P 45acp Shield unfortunately I traded it. Just didn't fit my hand right but it was a great shooter. Great picks for your rotation.
I’m watching this video because there is a pawn shop that has this gun but I’m looking at it online and it says it is a 13 round. They also have a Glock 30 and I am in comparison really. I love Springfield but if it’s only a six rounder, I’m gonna probably get the clock. I’m gonna go to the pawnshop next weekend and check them both out.
@jeremycross632 Go with the Glock 30. I carried it as an off duty firearm for years. Also, another advantage is, you can use Glock 21 magazines as a backup (13 rounds) Thanks for watching, greatly appreciate it!

@jeffrey downs LOL 😆 I have Kimber 1911s with red dots for that 10yr thing! Thanks for watching, greatly appreciate it!
Nice review. I have the XD-S MOD.2 OSP in 9mm and love it. very nice shooting gun. I would bet this 45 version shoots nice as well.

@Wayne Castleman Yes a great price point!

@C Kim Good to know, I never carried it. She uses a belly band all the time, so I don't know about holsters.
I have the OSP version. Works great IWB with shorts. With a good holster it wears well while doing cardio.
I’m sorry I got a laugh. What is that gun chambered in again? :-)
@nuclearoutdoorscampintip5850 45acp lol. Thanks for watching, greatly appreciate it!

Did you get the Glock? I want one.
I like the XDS a lot but it's too thin in my hands. The Glock 30 is just nice and beefy with more rounds.
45 acp?
@nucleroutdoorscampingtip5850 Yes, it is! Thanks for watching, greatly appreciate it!
