@@kylebrady969 F-16AJ was a paper offer. The Mirage 4000 flew, was tested to it's limits and everything else. It just wasn't accepted into service. If you want to go to the broad spectrum of non-production planes we have had those in the game since the game was released. 2 of the He-112s were nothing more than one off prototypes from the development of the plane up to the He-112B. The He-100D that we have in game is actually representative of a V prototype, not the actual He-100D. I could go through every tree, sans the Israeli, and pick out a number of non-production planes. Non-production isn't an issue in the slightest. Never flew sort of is. Never built really is.

MICA missiles are still not implemented on the 2000-5F. So........ there are much more things the Mirage can do even when the Eagles come into the game.
4 extra missiles is a huge buff for a plane that already has very good flight performance. Like an f16 with 2 extra missile hard points

yes but it has the place for 8 since the super 530 pylons are not utilised in the 6 MICAs laodout, and we can already put magic 2 on them ingame so it could be : 4 MICA EM and 4 magic 2@@chugachuga9242
@@chugachuga9242well, technically, the 530Ds pylon aren’t used to carry MICA. Or, it is proven that those pylons can carry Magic 2s.
Now, we have a photograph proof of the plane with 4 missiles on one side, so, while this is absolutely not common as those pylons are usually used to carry 2 extra fuel tanks, it’s expected that the plane can probably carry 4 MICA EM under the fuselage, 2 MICA IR on the outer pylons and 2 magic 2s on the inner pylons of the wings.
Also, technically, MICAs could be interchangeable, but that would depend on how Gaijing interpret that.
So yeah, 8 missiles is not that much of a stretch

The Mirage 2000-5F will obviously stick around for quite a long time at top tier because it's still far from it's full weaponry, the fact is that it will get someday the 6 Mica missiles it have IRL (close and medium range Fox2 and Fox3, 50g, trust vectoring, it's basically the missile used by the Rafale), with a MAW system and even more flare. So it's likely to see a few other new videos about this beauty.
This game looks so fun when I watch your videos. Then I go and play it and I remember that I suck and can't click people out of the air like you can. And then I return to watch more of your videos.

Mirage 2000 is one of my fav airframes and for now is resonable even at top tier, but with FOX3's they better give it MICA's which it had and should have now.
The Mirage 2000 is my all time top 3 favourite aircraft irl, and always works amazingly for top tier ground so whenever I see gameplay of it I’ll always enjoy watching it.

I would bet that MICAs are coming with the December patch, as the M2K-5 never carried the 530, but in a nerfed state to make them balanced
MICAs were outright denied on the forums, same as ASRAAMs and IRIS-Ts
the MICAS will only come when the other Fox 3 missiles come which isn't likely this patch. Apparently the Mirage 4000 is coming this patch which can carry 6-8 missiles

The real question is are all other planes gonna survive the Mirage 2000-5F with 6x MICAs EM/IR missiles ? Looks like you forgot thoses missiles to come.
Magics 2 also lack better IIRCM (CO2 detector) and 50G (using 2 plan).
CM's might be increased again. Max small flares account should be ~256.
Should also have 360° MAW.
Still some room for upgrades for the Mirage 2000-5F.

@@NoMercyt99 6, currently pylons that are using magic/S530D (inboard wing pylons) cant IRL carry ANY AA ordnance. If we are lucky, it will be able to keep magics there. Dont expect mica IR to be added. Its multispectral digital imaging seeker literally teracking heat signature of whole jet. It cant carry EM variants under wings, only on belly pylons. So 4x Mica EM and 4x magic II if they keep it unrealistically on inboard wing pylon but considering it can carry AG weapons which it CANT irl, not even dumb bombs, there is chance it will keep it.
@@honzavasicek You'r right except on one things: Both MICA IR and EM can use the same pylon and are interchangeable.
We could theorically go full 6x IR, 6x EM, or the mix we want.
@@hyrikul602 No they cant, you need specific wiring for EM variant due to communication with a jet. That wiring is not present on wing pylons. Pylon itself is not enough.
@@honzavasicekactually those inner pylons CAN carry magic 2s. The reason Gaijing added them is because a picture of a mirage 2000 carrying magic 2s in this pylon was given to them. You might be able to find the bug report or the picture is in the forum about the mirage 2000

Wait! You can change your loadouts mid match when you land at the airfield? Cause at the last match in the video you started with 3 Magic2s and a Super 530, right? And after you cut the video because you rearmed and refueled at the airport, you just came back with 2 Ir and 2 radar missles, right? Maybe i didn't notice something, i might be wrong but i didn't know that you can change your loadout. BTW! I'm maining France and this video absolutely warmed my hearth , you did a great work with this bird as you always do Defyn!
Yep u just j out on the airfield when u have no damage and can select your loadouts again. Keep in mind tho doing this as last man will start the super ticket bleed until u spawn back in so u gotta use it cautiously on lower tickets.

Ever since I have gotten the Mirage 2ks I can't play any other top tier planes anymore. Its such a joy to fly.
Agree, the F16C and 29G are certainly better, but the M2K just has a coolness factor and feel to it that makes it much more fun.
It'll be rough with the f-15 and su-27 when most top tiers get ARH missiles before this gets MICAs, since MICAs are a couple steps above early aim-120 and r-77 variants. I reckon it'll get the MICAs later on and will struggle in that initial period of BVR spam from all sorts of opponents, that or they give it MICAs on release, meaning it has the best radar missiles, which would be both be busted and give people reason to grind for it.

Whenever I'm last alive, my usual instinct is to start furiously scanning with TWS towards any areas outside the central zone. If I pick something up, I check position, altitude, and closure rate to see if t may be an AI, or a player. Works pretty well for me, but sometimes it's better to go radar off and stealth it

Probably the best, MICA is much better than early AMRAAMs, especially at closer ranges against manoeuvring targets and Magic 2 is a good IR missile, DEFAs leave a bit to be desired but are ok and you can always just 1 circle anything that gets too close

The Mirage 2000 as a platform is very much capable of taking on the expected additions, as it does get some goodies while trading flight performance. However i would not put it past gaijin for us to see the 5F with broken MICAs😢. Gaijin just refuses to let the france enjoyers have fun

We need the mirage III V, a plane that didn't go in production but actually flew.
Is "Miles" a setting on WT I cant even remember. Miles is useful when talking about driving / piloting / missiles for us to visualize but for short distances and in particular with ballistics we often use "yards". There's 1760 yards in a mile. Almost every American better understands Yards for anything under a mile because of American football fields being well known as 100 Yards long (or 120 including the 2 "end-zones"). As goofy as it may sound we often use this as a way to help visualize distance.
Hunters or just shooters in general pretty much always use yards when describing shots. Im not sure what most players use in WT but in my opinion Yards is the best way to describe gun shots. If youre taking a 500M shot and want to help an American visualize the distance (which is 546 yards) using yards helps because a lot of us (I would imagine most of us) will hear 546 yards and immediately be able to understand it as "5 and a half football fields"

On that last fight against the MiG21, I think you could have afforded to be more aggressive. The mirage 2000 is better in every single way, the moment you had the speed and altitude advantage, you could have made him stall faster instead of flying away for 4km. Also, don’t forget it has one of the best radar in the game, and thus come with a TWS mode to help track the MiG 21 easier
Yeah the Mirage 2000 in my experience is the best dogfighter at it's BR range (+/-1 ofc) other than maybe an f-16 and sometimes a J7e, and even against those I've been able to win most engagements. For a delta fighter it has some of the best energy retention but not quite f-16 good, though that lets you cut into it in a rate fight. The J7e feels closer to the Mirage 2000 but doesn't quite pull as well in some cases, however it obviously falls behind in technology like the HMD in the 5F for example.
@@RyzawaVT F16 and J7E completely demolish the M2K in a dogfight. Just because you killed a few of them in a couple turns doesn't make the M2K a better dogfighter

LOL the J-7E has a flight model thats worse than the Mirage 2000-5F in every way, the Mirage 2000 is the king of delta’s currently and the F-16 is a pretty fair match up although with its absolutely broken arcadey flight model its slightly better, you dont know shit

M4k won’t be coming to the game any time soon if at all. It never entered service and falls in the same category as something like the f16EX or YF-23. It was nothing more than a demonstrator.

Gaijin has shown us, even recently with the F16AJ and the Yak 141, that they don't mind adding prototypes or even fictionnal aircrafts to the game, especially if they answer a specific need. And well, France needs a top tier aircraft that carries more than 4 missiles (that aren't OP thrust-vectoring Fox-3s)

@@zayf1760 And the m2k-5 can carry 6 MICA missiles. So I think it will do just fine if it gets them. The IR variant especially is a spooky missile bc it can be launched with TWS/Datalink and then uses the ir seeker for terminal guidance. (like when a aim120 goes pit bull) So no rwr warnings with nearly identical range as the SARH variant. (Think similar range to a aim-120c with the addition of thrust vectoring for close range use)
Considering that the M2k-5 is the last mirage before the Rafael it would make sense for the worst top tier jet (flight performance wise) to have 6 of the best missiles.

How about the KFir C2 that thing is getting $h!T on these days horribly. The thing gets outrun by pretty much everything it sees. The price of the POS on the market is outrageous and hopefully people are smart enough and DO NOT pay that 145 GJN for something with not much to offer in today's AirRB.

That's not why it's over 140 GJN not because it has only 2 Pythons which doesn't even compare to the jets it sees that have 6 or 8 AAM that has all aspect and radar aspect. The Kfir C2 doesn't even have a radar. The Kurnass has a way better setup for AAM and more countermeasures at the same BR and WAY more ammo and faster and the C7 gets them as well but gets 4 when the C2 gets 2 so it doesn't compare to the aircraft it's up against seeing how 9 out of 10 games you're up-tiered in the thing.@@chugachuga9242

I’m American and use mph for speed and ft for alr but I use km because years ago when I watched you to learn how to get better you would always say gun ranges and what not in km
