A little about me and this channel:
My name is James Aubrey IV and I just recently graduated college from Iowa State University. After college I decided to take a leap of faith. So I moved to San Diego California to pursue my passion for videography/ UA-cam. Overall I'm a pretty chill person, outside of UA-cam I like to longboard, dance, play video games, lift weights and hangout with my friends. I know that success on UA-cam won't happen overnight but I'm willing to stay patient and put in the work to try to prefect my craft daily. This UA-cam channel will be centered around my life after college. You will be able to see all of the ups and downs on my journey to success. So if you like the content make sure you subscribe so you can be apart of the Rome Life Family. (Let's build our own personal Rome's together.)
What is the Rome Life ? And What does it mean to be apart of it?
Rome Life is something I started during my Sophomore year of high school (one of the worst times in my life) it started off as me documenting my journey to recovery from my shoulder surgery but eventually it turned into a platform that I could use to encourage myself as well as others to chase our dreams.
Rome Life isn't just a saying it's a way of life and for the people who want to be apart of it have to realize that. Rome wasn't built in a day it took a lot of handwork time and most importantly patience. So you can't expect your dreams to be any different

Nicks discovered the Rhiannon character in the early 1970s through a novel called Triad by Mary Bartlet Leader. The novel is about a woman named Branwen who is possessed by another woman named Rhiannon.
This is a really beautiful demo version
Check out Flyleaf " I'm so sick"
So happy to support you...signed up..apparently i am number 2!!
saw them in 1976
Bro, I’m 64 years old and they are an awesome group. We all loved their music back in 1975/1976. We couldn’t believe our ears either.
The sound of my childhood with queen and abba. Singing along to the radio on roadtrips in the summer..
Yes, we are very lucky to have lived in such an era of great music ! I'm a few years older than you. The great music lives on!
Great time to be young... I wish could do it again.
And to think, security made them leave their guns, knives, tire irons and other weapons at the door! 🙂😉😁
I got to see them live twice, on Rumours tour when I was in high school (friend’s dad was the promoter so had 2nd row center for free! Which totally spoiled me), so when I went to buy tickets for Tusk (I had moved to another state by then), I could only afford nose-bleed section 😂. They have stayed my all-time favorite band all these years. I have stayed on top of current music all these years and no one tops Fleetwood Mac in my mind.
James watch the live version of Rhiannon from 1976 stevie Nick's is absolutely on fire in that one.
My goodness!! The last two minutes 🔥🔥
you should include the link to the video so he can react to the correct one.
Here it is: ua-cam.com/video/TZlxE-kgUGA/v-deo.html
I agree completely different performance
The midnight special is way better! The vocals are better, the quality, the GUITAR SOLO, the arrangement, etc
Stevie is in her 70's now, and her voice still melts butter, and me. She will always be the reigning Queen of Rock.
"Dreams" by Fleetwood Mac is one of my top 3 songs of all time. Stevie Nicks is on lead vocals. They have a live "official video" of this song. Incredible.
Fleetwood Mac has been around since the 60s-70s. Their music wears well and is still popular. Songs of that era have staying power and Fleetwood Mac is one of the most popular.
They went through three different eras, all really different and all really good. I even like a lot of the Bob Welch era stuff.
@@jasonremy1627 You are one of the few like me that likes all three eras, most that like the Peter Green years hate the Nicks/Buckingham and visa versa. I love the Perter Green years and have all the Bob Welch era albums and also love the Nick/Buckingham stuff.
@@gregoryvanderpas4176 I mean, they are definitely all three different bands, but different is not bad...
I'm 72 yrs and I never get tired to listening to this group. I load up my CD plsyer in my car to their music. I finally got my husband hooked on them. LOL Love their music!! 💞
If you ever meet a chick named Rhiannon, she's named after _this_ song.
My mom made up Rhianna from Rhiannon back in the day. I’m 34, it used to be unique!
@@GalaxyFluke It's still a nice name. My daughter is named after a song, but not this one.
I’m named after this song haha
I named my daughter Rhiannon!
My wife almost was named Sara. But her father refused. My mom (a Beatles manic) wanted to name me Jude. But nooooooo...
Fleetwood mac are undeniably one of the best bands to ever make music
This is great, but it's one of those songs that goes to an entirely different level live. Check out one of the live versions from 1976. Stevie goes OFF. Also an excellent guitar solo.
I still get goosebumps every time I hear it...
ua-cam.com/video/wgmRb3MlpHQ/v-deo.html
Their performance for the official music video is amazing as well!
They are such a great group
The live version is mesmerizing. Stevie is Rhiannon in that performance.
Rhiannon was a character in old Welsh tales. A horse goddess who married a mortal. Rhiannon of the Birds. This song has that 'witchy' feeling. You should see Stevie do this live the video is out there. Not hard to find. I believe it's from the early 70's. A lot of names today came from this song. Rhianna. My screen name, Rhiannon + my husband's last name. ua-cam.com/video/wgmRb3MlpHQ/v-deo.html
Read a book called The Celts just before my first child, a daughter was born. Was captivated by the Welsh mythology. My daughter's mother's side is descended from an ancient Welsh king named Rhodri Mawr so I wanted a name that would reflect her Celtic heritage from both sides of the family, so gave her the name Rhiannon. We're Aussies but she's a paramedic in Kendal England and I can't get to see her.
@@bucephulus4600 Have you read the Mabingdon?
@@rhiahlMT Yaah no I haven't. From memory isn't that like a collection of the Welsh/Celtic myths? I do remember reading something about a book like that. Depending on what you read depends on the way it is spelt.
@@bucephulus4600 Yep. Welsh myths and stories.
@@rhiahlMT Cheers, I'll have a hunt around for it.
You should watch the live 1976 version of this song, you will love them even more.
I remember as a teen when this song was released, there were so many good songs on the radio, you could listen to the radio all day and never hear a repeat or a bad song. The variety was incredible.
You must have had better radio stations, there were plenty of bad songs released and played on the radio here. We've fortunately mostly forgotten them. Some were even hits (little Jimmy Osmond, long haired lover from Liverpool was no.1 for 5 weeks in the UK).
@@paulqueripel3493 Ireland.....there were so many 'pirate' stations all competing for top spot.....Nova, Sunshine, Radio Dublin, Radio City, ARD, Magic, Energy, Big D, XFM, Kiss....so many!
You definitely should check out the live version, Stevie VERY much loves to get into character, especially on this song.
1976 on the Midnight Special
Fleetwood Mac is one of the best rock bands ever and it makes sense that their sound is ever changing because their is so much individual talent in the band, Members, Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham, and Christine McVie have all had very successfully solo careers outside of Fleetwood Mac (formed in 1967).
Check out “Gypsy” next or “Landslide” by Fleetwood Mac
Great Reaction :)))
Love Gypsy - the music video imo is one of the best crafted videos of the 80s.
"Landslide" is as good as it gets.
@@l.c.1816 Silver Springs truly should’ve been the closer to Rumours and it’s such a tragedy that it never made the original release.
Brother I was bitten by the Stevie Nicks bug back in the 70s . . You just got bit . Some say shes the best female rock voice ever .. she went solo had many other hits .. but with FleetwoodMac they had the whole package..
Peace love and respect from Kentucky .
Theses guys are still one of my favorites. Loves Stevie's voice. She's in a class of her own.
This group had three gifted singer/songwriters. All of them have had great solo careers outside Fleetwood Mac, but together its just magic.
Great album track but there are 2 live versions the official music video (also known as the Rosebud film version) and the Midnight Special, both live in 1976. Both are next level incredible and worth watching. Stevie Nicks named her song publishing company Welsh Witch Music because of this song.
Stevie done put another person under her spell, look forward to decades of Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks solo... Yes I am a Stevie Nicks Addict, and Iam ok with that.
they came out as a blues band in the middle 60's. They changed many times over the years
Fleetwood Mac started in the late 60s as a straight blues band. They started moving toward pop rock in the early 70s. Then they added Stevie Nicks, the singer here, and Lindsey Buckingham, the guitarist and singer on Go Your Own Way. That gave them 3 singer-songwriters, with Christine Mcvie.
If you want to hear an epic guitar solo, check out a live version of I'm So Afraid.
Love their early stuff, Oh Well, Man of the World, Dragonfly etc. Superb!
Lindsey's playing sounds so much like Tom Petty's guitarist, Mike Campbell, who would eventually replace Buckingham. The difference was, Tom was all about keeping everything the same, like Ronnie Van Zant of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Keep the solos in his gameplan! Lindsey was pretty Conservative himself. He and Mike could have "Van Halened" with the best of them but from what I saw, they always stayed within the framework of the band.
Hey bro, they are essentially a super group! They are worldwide and recognize for their greatness!! Clearly one of the top 5 groups is history! Lindsay Buckingham top ten guitarist who doesn't use a pick..but they've sold over 100 million albums worldwide, and "Rumours " is recognized as one of the best records ever made, Stevie and Lindsey are the two main singers, and a few of their songs are about their breakup..the mid 70's to mid 80' were their hay day..but toured pretty much up til 2010.. very hard ticket to get, as every venue sold out quickly..you should check out "little lies" and "hold me" videos, the most gripping is the live performance of "silver springs " it's from the mid 90's, and is probably the first one that will show up on you tube..but the last minute when Stevie is staring down Lindsey is gut wrenching and heart felt, because this song was made from their break up..one of the most powerful moments from one of the most powerful groups in the history of the world! Thx bro🤘
You can’t forget the songbird - Christine.
@@jspettifer beautiful ❤️
I thought a Super group was formed when different members of successful groups would merge.
@@chriscornelius2518 yer learning bud, that's why the word essentially was used, good try though☺️
@@davidzaso3160 You know groups like Damn Yankees, who had various members of other groups, they were referred as a Super group. The Traveling Wilburys is another that comes to mind. It's not a knock or even a term of affection. If you look up the definition it is as I said. The definition reads: supergroup is a musical performing group whose members have successful solo careers, are members of other groups, or are well known in other musical professions. I was unaware of Fleetwood Mac as I know is a group who added Buckingham and Nicks in the 70s. Now, of course, they did add 2 members to fill in the void of Buckingham.
Their music is perfection! Everything comes together, the lyrics, the melodies, the instruments, the singing just goes together so well in every song they write and do. I have been to a lot of their concerts and it always is magical! Lindsey Buckingham was the soul of Fleetwood Mac! I adore Stevie and Christine's hard work as songwriters, singers and musicans as well! Their songs are beautiful and timeless!
They formed in 1967 and they are still a top group now. They remain relevant. Love them!!!
Not quite a top group anymore since they fired Lindsey Buckingham. More like a Stevie Nicks back-up band that does Fleetwood Mac covers.
@@robertreichle1
This is true. However in my mind they will always be a top group just because I grew up listening to them. Unless you purchase anything new Lindsey’s still there.
To be fair they were a completely different band when they were Peter greens Fleetwood Mac.
Gypsy is by far my favorite Fleetwood Mac song. Gotta check that one out next, my friend.
Fleetwood Mac's "Blue Letter" and "Silver Springs" are my favorites (because they were the last two I listened to).
The studio version is good but the Fleetwood Mac - Rhiannon official music video is a must to react to my dude! Its a recorded live performance just like the Dreams video but they go WAY harder in the Rhiannon video!!! Its a one in a million performance for sure.
With really good headphones or an incredible stereo system, Sara is amazing. Layers and layers of things going on building and building to the end.
I'm 52 & have loved Fleetwood Mac as far as I can remember. No matter how sad or upset I am,their music makes me happy, makes me cry happy tears. Stevie Nick's has never let me down. I feel I've been connected to her forever❤️🔥
When she sings this live, she just rips on vocals. One of my favorite bands ever.
Fleetwood Mac is one of those transcendent groups that isn't restrained by the era they came out. Groups like them are rare and their songs never sound dated. Steely Dan is another group that fits this mold as well....
Agree 100%. Also + 1 on the Steely Dan! I'm a huge Led head, but everybody reacts to them. We never hear enough Steely Dan-- they are f****** brilliant!
I love "The Chain" and "Gold Dust Woman" because they are haunting.
Fleetwood Mac formed in 1967, stopped in 1982. Way back when. Listening to them always reminds me of the late 70's.
Still touring and releasing albums.
I was lucky enough to see them a few years ago with the classic line up after Christine came back but before Lindsay left
I saw Fleetwood Mac in concert eons ago, they were AWESOME live unsurprisingly. They are top of the line performers!
Rhiannon has always been my favorite along with "Gold Dust Woman" and "Gypsy" and I have always liked "Hold Me".
But seriously, all their music is great!
I totally agree with what you say about the uniqueness and freshness of every single song. That’s what makes this such a great band.
Should do live version on Midnight Special. Stevie Nicks goes off.
Yet Buckinghams guitar solo steals the show for me
I think their performance in the official music video for the song is even better than the midnight special performance to be honest. Stevie goes alot harder at the end and Lindsey's guitar solo is way longer!! The whole band goes harder in that performance I think.
I don't think he can handle the midnight live performance, he's still knocked out from the album version
@@deedeesnicks lol he's skeerd it might be too much for him
They never get the choris harmony quite right live.
They were from the 70s but their music is timeless. Such clever lyrics and awesome arrangements. This one is my favorite by them “takes to the sky like a bird in flight “ love that line. Rhiannon is so mysterious you just want to know more about her.
One of my favorite bands too. I still have this vinyl record that I bought when it was brand new off the record shelf. I spun it a couple of weeks ago and it still sounds excellent.
You need to see the live version of this song, you will be blown away even more! They put on a great show!
Another great reaction, man. "Rhiannon" is SUCH a good song!
I think every kid in my high school had this album....and Frampton Comes Alive
Stevie Nick’s is absolutely stunning! She sounds even better live! Such a beautiful and creative soul!
And you haven't even listened to any Christine McVie songs yet. Her stuff sounds completely different than Stevie and Lindsey's!
Songbird and Oh Daddy....Christie McVie does have a completely different but beautiful sound to her songs.
I love You Make Lovin Fun by Christine.
@@tyronehudson4770 Me to. I'd go with Songbird, then You Make Lovin' Fun. I love Over My Head and Warm Ways too.
Second, third, fourth, etc. Songbird. Almost no reactions to that anywhere and it's a beautiful song.
Add Hold Me and Tell Me Lies to the list
I vote for Sugar Daddy. A blues soft rocker , the kind of music Christine excels at. Great Hammond Organ solos too.
"Rumours" was probably one of the best selling albums of all time. Coming out in 1977 it had sold 10 million copies in about 13 months and by 2017 it had sold 45 million copies. By its popularity alone, it has to be one of the greatest albums of the 20th Century.
Stevie's voice is so unique and hauntingly beautiful. She and Karen Carpenter are the greatest voices ever IMO.
plus Diana Ross.
I’m literally getting into that look on your face as this song is playing. Fleetwood Mac took me through junior high and high school. What a soundtrack I had in my early days.
I was 11 years old when this album came out. My sister brought it home and dude I never had music hit me in the gutt. I was hooked. Their music is timeless. They came out in 60’s. Listen to Dreams
I'm 46 years old ,i have known fleetwood mack my whole life and i always kind of liked them . When i was 28 my crazy neighbor above me that was giving me trouble a lot .used to play the rumours album constantly ,i guess because his wife left him recently .It is the one thing i'm thankful of that he did .I really got into them myself after that, and i've been a huge fan since .Two years ago i saw them live for the first time ever at the pinkpop festival in Holland .the fact that i was still able to see them live made me kind of emotional ,it was a wonderful experience . I only hope that one day i can see them play live together with lindsey buckingham .
I think you'd really enjoy listening to "Say You Love Me" on that some album; it's written and sung by Christine McVie, the other female singer in Fleetwood Mac, and has a punchy feel to it. By all means, try it!
The first version that I ever heard of that song was by a Canadian singer named Shirley Eikhard. I was only about 12 when it came out, and I had no idea that it was a Fleetwood Mac song. I don't think that I even knew who they were.
I love both versions.
Great song. Christine has some fine tracks on earlier albums too.
@@ninline2000 Indeed! My FAVORITE Fleetwood Mac song remains her "Spare Me a Little" from "Bare Trees."
@@mattshaw6180 There are so many great songs going back years. I love Black Magic Woman and I'm So Afraid.
Love your reactions and I share your love for Fleetwood Mac group❤❤❤my favorite of the 70's
Their catchiest, most radio friendly Fleetwood Mac song is "Don't Stop"
I’ve seen them in concert three times and saw this song being performed for the first time. Stevie Nicks introduced the song as being about a Welsh witch, and changed the rock world forever with her vocals and stage presence. Amazing singer.
This song was released in 1975, only 45 years ago lol.
I honestly think they are so iconic 100 years from now people will still be listening to their music and enjoying it.
Best song in their collection. Almost named my daughter Rhiannon
My cousin did.
I know 2 Rhiannons. 👍🏼
Ooh, that woulda been a great idea!! Shoot, too late for me.
Hey James I’m 64, your playing my music!! Best group ever in my book!! And they’re the first group where I loved the most songs...and of course Stevie Nicks solo off the charts!!!
Glad to hear you enjoy the older music. More Hall & Oates please.
One of their older songs like Lady Rain.
That's really great that you like them this much. They are so diverse but I always can hear their signature sound.
You need to hear Fleetwood Mac Tusk and Gorge Michael's Freedom
One of the best bands ever, Stevie is FIRE! This is great one harmonizing wise. Never got to see Fleetwood Mac live, but did see Stevie when the band broke and she did her solo thing. To Amazing...Thanx Peace
When your ready, check their Album titled "The Dance". It was recorded from their live tour in 1997. The harmonies and guitar solos are superb! You wont be disappointed!
The live performance of Stevie and Mic doing Silver Springs is the most emotional performance
I have ever seen. Brings me to tears everytime
I was in my late teens early 20's when Fleetwood Mac...they were great then and still Great today. Once you experience their music you'll love it forever...still to this day enjoy the music. My favorite is Stevie Nicks...great distintive voice...welcone to the club!
Fleetwood Mac - Big Love
Enjoyed your reaction, my friend......FUN FACTS.....
Firstly the ORIGINAL 1960'S Fleetwood Mac was an English Blues Band called " Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac"......with 3 main guitarists and a Bass Guitar. Peter Green died recently and was one of the greatest guitarists but succumbed to LSD Drug taking. All 3 guitarists left around 1970 and Fleetwood Mac became a TOTALLY different Transatlantic Group with the addition of a guitarist and Female lead singer:Stevie Nicks and soon made one of the biggest selling albums of all time = " Rumours".....:)
Their original version of "The Green Manalishi" still cooks. Also worth mentioning for the first timers is the fact that Green wrote "Black Magic Woman" two years before Santana turned it into an international classic.
Yes, Mike and they still after 50+ years since it was recorded in 1969 have recorded my Joint Favourite song of all-time in "Albatross" which must only be played in solitude and in the dark , and considering I have just woke up at 4.15 am in London and am now wide awake after my usual 4 hours nighly sleep , tha't's exactly what I am going to do now :)
Try one of their later tracks, "Tango In The Night" will floor you.
I’m old enough to remember this from my childhood, but was not old enough to really appreciate it. I’m going through a rediscovery myself. Stevie Nicks was a prolific songwriter singer and deserves so much of the praise she receives. Great video my guy!
Check out the "Then Play On " album when Peter Green was still with Fleetwood Mac. The song "Oh Well" is one of their greatest.
Joe Jackson does a good cover of that.
R.I.P. Peter G....Great guitarist and musician.
I heard this song my whole life and every time this song sounds AMAZING!! I'm 50yrs old❤❤❤👍👍
I've never been this early before!! This is one of their best songs!!!
the song is haunting. have loved this group for years very witchy vibe i love it
Hey James check out “Hypnotized,” an earlier classic by Fleetwood Mac.
This is one of my absolute favorites - the song mirrors the name and pretty much puts you in a trance!
I heard it for years, but didn’t know it was FM. It always makes me feel like I’m in a trance, and it doesn’t seem like it should.
it is definitely an odd one and so I can understand if not as many people like it. I tend to agree with you though, I quite like it.
One of the smoothest songs ever.
TOTALLY AGREE...You need to watch Rhiannon LIVE. Stevie blows the roof off!!
I've been waiting since you did "The Chain" for you to get to "Rhiannon." Stevie Nicks is practically perfect in every way. (see Mary Poppins for that reference)
You should see this live. Stevie Nick’s energy onstage explodes...much more than in studio versions...
Give “Sara” a shot, definitely my favourite fleetwood track
If you want a brilliant live version of this song and some of the best recordings of Fleetwood Mac songs, I suggest watching The Dance concert in 1997. 💖 This is one of my favourite bands and This is my favourite song. Keep discovering and reacting to Fleetwood Mac!! You will not be disappointed my friend.
We were so spoiled growing up with this. But watching you React to those vocal harmonies... that’s the same face I made when I heard that sound as a child! Thank you thank you
Now that you've done the Spotify Top 5, I'd be curious to see if we ever get F. Mac here again...
Of the best songs ever.. so sweet and simple and short.. it’s beautiful
React to " Rhiannon " The Midnight Special 1976 live version ( Re - Ann - non ) Rhiannon
My brother had this album when I was in middle school....on vinyl....and it was played over and over. It was as fresh then as it is now. It is stuck in the minds of a generation that got to experience not just one song...but albums. You played the entire album, memorized all the rifts and the lyrics. You remember where you were and how old you were when you first heard them. So glad a new generation is enjoying this and appreciating it.
If you haven’t, please react to “Gold Dust Woman” and “Tusk.” You’re really in for a treat! I suggest live versions- Their concert called “The Dance” is phenomenal! 💜✌️✨
Yes indeed
I am reliving my whole 70s childhood with you. 59 and I wore out their albums. They and ELO
Parliament ~ P-Funk (wants to get funked up)
I’ll tell ya, this was unbelievably pleasurable music when it came out. We were young, we listened to it a million times. And over 40 years later it’s still never old.
You must listen to "Landslide"
I think these reaction videos are good because it allows all people to see and appreciate music from every subculture as well as provides understanding of the human condition in all the Hoods...!
Brah, do your ears a favor and listen to their song “TUSK”!!! Listen with your wife!!
I have listened to many of your reactions, of all kinds of music. I really enjoy it. I a. 68, I know old guy. I love music.
Fleetwood Mac always rises to the top.
Been to 6 of their concerts. They are in my top five groups. Thanks for what you do
*That simple beat and the perfect group harmony of "The Chain" is unmatched for it's beauty.* "Rhiannon" is a mysterious tune, and when combined with Stevie Nicks sweet vocals and that driving beat becomes a hell of a force! Certainly one of the best examples of any kind of music... regardless of genre'. (And yes, we ALL want to make passionate love to Rhiannon!)
You've got to watch them live, Stevie is entrancing, Lindsey incredible on guitar and seeing all the personal interplay between them.
I’m 61. I’ve heard all these songs before. These songs were played over and over again til I didn’t want to heat them again. I like new songs. Although 90’s music is my favorite
Also 61, don't mind rediscovering them through reactors who have never heard them before. Not the songs fault you have heard them too much.
Haaaahhhahaha! You're too cute makin me feel soooo old! They are phenomenally timeless
Fleetwood Mac is a great group! I saw them on the Rumours Tour in 77 or 78, but it was awesome! They are definitely in my top 10 favorite groups! ✌️🎼💙🎸
I was 23 back in '77 and Fleetwood was always Gold then and now. Strippers swayed to it, lovers loved to it, and people had it as part of their lives. The memories still live on with the people you knew and sometimes lost.
Love your reaction, and your spot on, voices are amazing, guitar and bass also, and Mick fleetwood is special on drums... I am born in 1960 and yes Led Zepplin, RUSH, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd and many more are awsome, but Fleetwood Mac is my favorite groupe and i seen em all in concert... really cool to see your reaction, brings me back to when the albums came out in my teens and I enjoyed listening for the first time...
You got to do this live❤️they came out in the 70’s. Nothing but great bands in the 70’s.🔥
I'm thrilled that you are enjoying the Fleetwood Mac journey!!!🎶🎼🎵💜
That's part of why we were so happy growing up in the 60' and 70's easy time to be a kid and teen. There was almost endless great genres of music. Yes watch the 1976 live version of this song. Stevie is on fire! Also listen to Gold Dust Woman.
