And she spends time at the veterans hospital visiting with our sick and wounded. As a little girl, I adored her. As a grandma, I love her. God bless her soul.
Indeed. This is why I've been listening to a lot of old school music - Fleetwood Mac, Dolly Parton, Mario Lanza, Elvis Presley(!).... these are the true magicians in their craft, with incredible voices who perform with true passion.
Stevie Nicks, just gorgeous and one of the greatest female rock vocalists ever, the first woman to be inducted into the Rock&Roll Hall of Fame twice. She also wrote this and many others of the FM greats.
I was Five!! when this was released, and I found out then what Pure Lust was !!!! not only for Stevie but for the pure genius that is Fleetwood Mac !!!
This performance is so good I've probably watched it at least 50 times and the guitar solo still gives me chills every time, as does Stevie rocking hard on the vocals at the end. Timeless kickass rock performance, one of the best ever.
I just found out about this performance, and I cannot stop watching the video or any reactions to it. Every time I watch this version, I feel I’m a bit more anointed by her!
Stevie Nicks is genius!!! One of the most distinctive voices in music history!!! You'll never get enough of her once your hooked!!!🎶🎼🎵😊💜 And Lindsay Buckingham on guitar is one of the guitar Gods of the 70's!!! Enjoy the ride and the addiction!!! Loved your faces through this one....you were both completely mesmerized!!!💜💜💜💜
You want to see more women in rockin roll. Check out HEART, Barracuda. It's a great live video of the band with two female sisters who sing together and play guitar. They are a great talent you should check out.
Definitely check out Heart - Barracuda, Magic Man, and Crazy On You are their best. Also check out The Runaways, the all-female 70's band (try Cherry Bomb), and Blondie (female lead - try One Way Or Another, and Dreaming).
There’s a all female band called Fanny no cap they’re brilliant they didn’t take off in the 60’s but they have a killer track called ‘ ain’t that peculiar’ it’s so good an all female band on lead guitar, keys, bass, drummer worth recommended too honestly :)
Yes everything on the Rumors album is fantastic...BUT...the LIVE VERSION is always the best with Fleetwood Mac... just as you seen with Rhiannon....Stevie and FM always put everything into their live performances...
There is a live video of Fleetwood Mac doing The Chain. Lindsey Buckingham does a guitar solo at the end of the song that is incredibly. It's from a live concert in 1982. Silver Springs is another outstanding live video with Stevie Nicks singing lead vocals. It's a magnificent live performance from 1998 I think. I saw them live in 1979 during the Tusk tour when I was stationed in Hawaii when I was in the USMC. They are a remarkable band for all times.
i saw the Tusk tour also at Madison Square Garden, i was 15! and i've seen them and Stevie solo over 50 more times after that. so many great memories :)
This is one of the rare occasions where the live versions is better than the recording. In the recorded version, Lindsey doesn't have that fantastic guitar solo, and Stevie doesn't do that incredible vamp at the end. Stevie is an absolute Goddess. There is a reason she is the only woman to be inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame in both a band and as a solo artist. As someone else mentioned here, her live performance of Edge of Seventeen (a song from her first solo album) is essential viewing, as well as the 1997 live version of Landslide from Fleetwood Mac's The Dance.
Nobody that I’ve seen ever talks about the fact that, except for the first one, all the choruses have completely different lyrics than the record version. And they’re better here!
IMHO Most bands from the past were better live than on their studio recordings. The bands were able to really highlight different aspects of a song with their vocals and instruments. Every concert I went to, except Van Halen (David was plastered), were better live than their studio recordings. Now people use backing tracks, auto tune and other crap so live performances are not better or as unique. Many popular performers today don’t sing well.
This live version is the best I've seen for this song. The ending is epic, on a lot of the other versions the ending is shorter, like the studio version.
gotta disagree with you there...this and rumors, and mirage i suppose, is the top of her game. i think the drugs, age, and touring took a toll on her voice and could never be this powerful anymore. just my opinion...love the mac and stevie.
The guy on the right, in the black shirt, bobs his heads up and down, and side to side, and closes his eyes and gets lost in another world,, like I do. He is normal. Ha. Great reaction from both of you , really. I consider this thee greatest, number 1 music video EVER.
you guys are beautiful very good looking guys!!! Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham also beautiful and wrote the best songs thats why Rumours is still one if the best albums of all time!!! im only 42 so this was my parents best album!!
Bro's, You'll love their "Go Your Own Way", "Say You Love Me" and "Silver Spring". The last one live from 'The Dance' 1997. Just their Rumours album itself sold over 45 million copies worldwide. Great band
"I'm so fucking satisfied right now!" Ha! Classic. That was the definition of a flawless performance. The talent this band possessed was and still is second to none.
You want some women who rock ? How about Heart's "Barracuda" or Joan Jett and the Blackhearts "I Love Rock and Roll" ? They will blow you away !!! ✌❤🌻😷🎶
Guess what, Guys? I was living in my late teens in 1976 jamming out daily to this kind of music. It was like every day.....gimme some more Baby!!! Yeah.....and the chicks......just Wow. I really love reliving these songs.....it takes me back to the very best of times any man could ever dream of.
Fleetwood Mac are epic they had the 2 best female singers of the 70's with Stevie Nicks and the sublime Christine McVie, to hear Christine at her hauntingly beautiful listen to Song Bird also from Rumours it is effortlessly beautiful
I was six years old when I saw this in the seventies. I fell in love. I am still smitten. Stevie has a power over everyone. She is the Queen of Rock and Roll. Chrissy Hynde, Blondie, Joan Jett, Etta, Aretha all have their claim, but none took the stage like this, and none grabbed our hearts like this.
This is the third incarnation of Fleetwood Mac. They began in the mid-1960s as a fantastic blues band featuring the truly great Peter Green on guitar. Peter replaced Eric Clapton on John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, who was then replace by Jeff Beck, who was then replaced by Mick Taylor, who himself replaced Brian Jones in The Rolling Stones and then himself being replaced by Ron Wood, who is still with them, after all these years. Mick Fleetwood (the "Fleetwood") and John McVie (the "Mac") were also from John Mayall's band. Their first hit was Peter's "Black Magic Woman," which was later covered by Carlos Santana after one of his bandmates heard Fleetwood Mac sing it in Britain. Peter would leave Fleetwood Mac in 1970, and Christine Perfect joined, later to become Christine McVie. This second incarnation made a couple of albums in the early 1970s before asking Lindsey Buckingam to join, who said he would only if his wife, Stevie Nicks, could join too. Fleetwood Mac, Rumours, and Tusk are their goto albums, each recorded after the other. Good band!
Loved your guys reaction. Subscribed. I fell in love with Fleetwood Mac in the 70's when i was around 8yrs old...my oldest brother had just went to their concert and played the album for me next day...instantly mesmerized by Stevie Nicks and they remained my fav band in the back of my mimd while growing up liking different fad music of the various times...but Fleetwood Mac stood the test of time❤
I think everyone falls in love with Stevie Nicks. I remember the very first time I saw her, I had skipped school and went to someone's house to hang out and he had a VHS recording of Fleetwood Mac. From that moment forward, I wanted to dress like her and make my hair look like hers and believe it or not, many years later, I sang Leather and Lace as a duet on stage and got a standing ovation! It was like I was in heaven! I'm enjoying your channel guys and I love the chairs you are sitting in. They are beautiful! Peace!
I saw them in a little high school size gym in Johnstown PA in 1976. Met Stevie and Christie while walking into the gym while in an extremely altered state of mind. Best concert ever. Sat on the gym floor in the fron row
I'm listening to music over 60 years this is one of the greatest performances ever. Stevie is one of the greatest singers in music history. Love how she owned the stage. The band was fantastic. Lindsey Buckingham outdid himself on the guitar All good! 🙌
Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours is in the top ten best selling albums of all time. And Stevie Nicks is the first woman to have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice. Gentlemen, you must start your Fleetwood Mac journey.
I stumbled upon your channel and I've been binge watching your reactions. You're kind of addicting! I love that the brother who is so knowledgeable (super impressive!) is showing the other brother (I'm sorry, not sure of names) these amazing bands and songs for the first time. Seeing the excitement in both of your reactions is like hearing these songs again for the first time myself. It's also cool that you actually listen to and analyze the lyrics. The beauty of interpretation of a song is that it can mean anything you want it to mean. Most writers will tell you it doesn't really matter what they wrote the song about, but rather how it makes the listener *feel*. Music is just fucking magical!
Their albums were much more toned down for commercial appeal... like pop songs. Live they amped it up and songs were longer and more powerful. The show they played on had time restrictions for length of song so the guitar jam and piano interludes were cut way back. Fleetwood Mac in the late 70’s early 80’s perhaps was height of their jamming ability. I am glad you got to experience this side of them. Stevie has one of the strongest and effortless and totally unique voice. Most of the time she didn’t have the songs to let it fly. There is a version of Beauty and Beast her song from her album that is done with an orchestra live that is stunning.
This song was actually on the album prior to Rumors! All the songs on Rumors are amazing! The fact that Rumors even came to fruition is a miracle in itself! Stevie (singer) and Lindsey (guitar guy with the fro) were going through a bitter breakup. Stevie began an affair with Mick (the drummer). Christine McVie (keyboardist) and John McVie (other guitarist) were going through a divorce and if I remember correctly, she was sleeping with one of their roadies. And it was all fueled with mass amounts of cocaine!
Lindsey and Stevie were relatively new to the band at this point and this song is from the first FM album they both were on. Fleetwood Mac had a long history before they joined, but the addition of Lindsey and Stevie brought FM their greatest success and Stevie became an icon, especially after the album Rumours.
Evelyn Here....OK....Women in Rock in the seventies......Of Course, Stevie Nicks.....so many guys had a crush on her......but if you talk about women in rock, probably MOST people of my generation would immediately say to look at HEART. Ann Wilson, one of the strongest voices in rock, male or female. Her sister, Nancy Wilson, also a great voice and TOP acoustic and rhythm guitar. Great band. Were huge in the late seventies. I think you’ve already seen them in the Led Zeppelin tribute from 2012 Kennedy Center Honors? I’ll have to double check to see if you’ve done that.....Anyway, they killed Stairway that night, so you can imagine what they were like 35 years earlier.
Love to see people enjoy and feel the music and excitement of the live rock. I've been blessed to have seen FM twice and Stevie on her Bella Donna tour. Imagine witnessing this as a teenager!! Love this band for the very fact of their talent, diversity and gifts to us all.
@@LuckyMMMBop Indeed, their best live album captured them in the shape they would not ever be before or later. For me it's the same, I listen to The Dance very often when I turn to Fleetwood Mac.
Or the live performance from the ‘82 Mirage tour. But her raising her hand in that ‘80 performance and the whole crowd coming to their feet and going wild is really something.
You bro's really need to get back to 'Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac', their beginnings. The original "Black Magic Woman" (written by Peter Green), then "Oh Well", "Green Manalishi", "Albatross" ... so many outstanding masterpieces in the early days. The 'Then Play On' album, "Tell Me All the Things You Do" ... and the ladies took Fleetwood Mac to the next level of magical creation through the 70's an 80's. 😷👍👍
It's too bad that it's so hard to get a reaction video of Fleetwood Mac on UA-cam because most of those videos get removed, but I'm telling you guys- check out their live performances of Sisters of the Moon from 1979 and 1982. I promise you won't be disappointed. That song is so underrated and they ROCK IT OUT. At one point in the 1979 performance the crowd goes absolutely crazy. I've never seen anything else like it, and I've been to a lot of rock concerts. Fleetwood Mac fuqqin ROCKS.

Stevie Nicks Fact Number 457: She never ever lip synced a song. Ever.
My friends, you have just witnessed what maybe the greatest live performance ever...
No auto - tune, no lip - sync, just pure magical talent.

Elton John performing Pinball Wizard with The Who in 1989 live is the best live music performance in the history of mankind!
I agree. Stevie was possessed in this show. It doesn't get any better.
When he whispered "it's like magic..." LOL - there's a reason she's called "The Witch"
And Stevie Nicks captures 2 more hearts.
Stevie Nicks, just gorgeous and one of the greatest female rock vocalists ever, the first woman to be inducted into the Rock&Roll Hall of Fame twice. She also wrote this and many others of the FM greats.
She and Joni Mitchell were at the top of their game.
The ONLY woman who has ever been inducted twice
This album came out in '75 and every male child between 13 & 30 fell in love with Stevie Nicks. It helped that the music was killer also.
It wasn't just the males that fell in love with Stevie Nicks.

Stevie Nicks. The Edge of Seventeen. Saucy.
'Edge Of Seventeen" is a great song, but just to let the brothers know, this is a song Stevie Nicks sang when she went solo.

One of my favorite live moments in rock
You two should check out "Baracuda" live by Heart . Another great female lead band
Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac: 'Oh Well'. Epic!
We had all the best, most innovative music in the 70's
This is a GREAT track its like a mini stairway how it builds and builds
Also, check out "Big Love" live from the Dance album. Truly amazing guitar on that one.
Love christine mcvie's jazzy keys on this as well. Brilliant band!
Oh yeah and Lindsay Buckingham on the guitar .... another LEGEND!!
My favourite Lindsey Buckingham guitar solo is on ‘I’m So Afraid’, live, 1976. STRONGLY recommend this.
guitarist is Lindsay Buckingham, has had quite the career...
React to Sisters of the Moon by Fleetwood Mac live tusk tour 79/80. That performance is so good and the audiences reaction near the end is crazy.
They are amazing live. First concert I went to. I was 12. I've seen 7 or 8 times. Each one of them is incredibly talented.
Saw them twice in the late 70's. One of my favorite bands. There are so many songs to react to. Try Silver Springs, Sara, Dreams too many to list.
Pat Benatar is also a phenomenal female rock singer.
Love your excitement. It makes we feel the same. Every time I hear it
Holy shit. I forgot how good they were.
Icon legend queen of rock ‘n’ roll there aren’t enough words to describe Stevie
Y’all are killing it with the reactions. GREAT music!! 👍
