Break free from gender stereotypes that robotize men from childhood. 🤸‍♂️
In this heartfelt conversation, the world-renowned actor Justin Baldoni and Mindvalley's founder Vishen talk about topics that are usually more uncomfortable for men, including vulnerability, father-son relationships, gender equality, and more. Themes that profoundly inspired Justin to write his book, 'Man Enough.' 📖
As toxic masculinity has become one of the most prevalent social issues of our time, men still follow the unwritten rules of 'The Men's Club' (as Justin calls them in the video) in fear of being ostracized, criticized, and humiliated. ☹
Men often silently check their' manly enough' thermometer when they feel anything other than resilience and poise. Vishen and Justin's conversation is her to help men break free from gender stereotypes and discover the key to the freedom of safely opening their hearts 🥰.

I am grateful to have been raised (programmed) with the idea that males and females are totally and completely equally capable human beings.
The only difference is our reproductive equipment.
All human beings deserve respect, compassion and dignity.

I do believe that women, as well, are trained to live primarily in their masculine side in order to „achieve something“ in a patriarchal society…
Thank you for this incredible talk! Truly eye-opening✨ I hope that more and more people will be aware of their female & masculine energy and will strive to balance both of them.
    Lots of Love 🤍🌈✨

GREAT TALK!!! Never seen Vishan so quiet! These supposed attributes of masculinity... so I think we ALL know that WOMEN take risks all the time, are strong (how many men would agree to have a baby!?) have courage in just as many instances as men..they are just different instances because we end up in these roles that are partly dictated by our biology. But WOMEN are immensely strong and courageous, especially in the 3rd world countries! they work so hard against all the odds! They seem to do most of the work actually. And they ALSO have the babies, bring up the children etc..does ANYONE think that isn't work or doesn't require strength and confidence? And all of these may not feel natural to everyone but in order to protect her family and provide for them, a WOMAN does this more than most men. It comes naturally to men and women to protect who and what they love.

    My appreciation💕
Masculinity and femininity are just social programming.
    Universe, etymology:
from late Middle English: from Old French or Latin :
from uni- ‘One’ + versus ‘Turned’ (past participle of vertere ).
    Universe = One Reversed

Justin you are my type of man; yes the student presents to the teacher when the student is ready. We, as men are both student and teacher; be open and vulnerable enough to share and humble enough to learn. Guys just take our armour off and put our swords down. Thanks Vishen and Justin. Great work you are doing.

Such an incredibly valuable discussion to have and what an array of profound perspectives! Hopefully it generates more discussion and more debunking of imprisoning, wounding stereotypes. Imposed identities and imprisoning stereotypes cause serious separation from the Authentic Self and that may just be where all problems begin. Thank you for holding and sharing this conversation.

"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you."

Justin, as a man with eight sisters, I disagree with your idea that “Femininity” is innate, is contrary to my experience. Acting like a girl is just as programmed as being a boy.
My sisters and I growing up were very instructed in gender roles. Not always with intention but by societal norms.
    Thank y’all for the conversation.

In regards to your speech from about 04:35 to about 07:00: I feel sorry for you.
You obviously do not see the full picture. How can you preach about "masculinity" being a club while maintaining that "femininity" is somehow innate? I mean, INNATE??? Masculinity is not innate, but femininity is??? Masculinity is a performance, but femininity is not??? Do you understand that all of the things that you are preaching about the social construct of being a man, women have been saying about the social construct of being a woman for ages? That is how feminism (the idea of equal rights, regardless of gender) came about. I genuinely cannot understand how can a person take the idea of "gender", which applies to BOTH men and women, and see only one side. Moreover, present it as its somehow a new idea, while women have been going on about this for god knows how long. Here's an idea - why don't we as a society start speaking on problems arising from the pressures of social construct of gender in general?
Here's some final thought - a quote from you: "The ideal way to be a man is to be a human." I would also add, that the ideal man understands that a woman is also a human. And not "a woman".

You are part of the collective of those who try to change what a real man means, that is, you agree to indoctrinate very soft men in their emotional strength in such a way that they change them to express their emotions everywhere, and that is exactly insulting. what it means to be a man, there is a code between true men that we know with whom if to express feelings and with whom not, a true man should not and cannot show weakness to others crying that is forbidden among true men, you want to force your idea of taking away their masculinity from real men and you are in a mistake for those of us who are really men, leave your speeches for women with penises which is the same as soft men
