The robot replaced Lucy's finger because it was originally programmed to provide medical assistance. After the war, it was hacked with additional programming to harvest organs. The robot was simply following an order of operation: heal, then harvest.
That explanation makes sense. I was thinking that Snip-Snip was in effect restoring Lucy to "mint condition" to increase the value of her organs.
This is what happens if you hire someone from the wasteland to reprogram a robot. Get someone from the institute instead.
@@cookiedestroyer2801 but then theyd give the robot feelings for shits and giggles
@@thefinaldovah9324 LoL, that sounds about right.
This. And the fact that he is not functioning correctly due to not being maintained. Proven when Snip Snip thought the bombs were only a week ago, lol.
One of the two dudes is on Strangers Things. He worked in arcade and hired Steve and Robin in video store.
Yup he’s the dude who kept asking the kids to get him a date with Nancy lol
He plays a similar character in Reservation Dogs. Dude knows his acting niche.
Think he also played in Free Guy
18:18 just reminding you that you can loot containers, you just can’t take the container itself. VG logic…
Wait a second!!
Why, in my whole life of gaming, have I never thought of this??
🤣🤣
Fun fact in this universe "going bananas" is a reference to the banana flavored, delicious and painless assisted self unaliving syrup (analogous to quitting the game) is manufactured by vault-tec for those who could not reach safety in time for the blasts and wanted to Parrish before the radiation
The trade was tri-annual and vault 32 has been down for two years. So after the last trade everything was good for a year and then went bad.
"My name is Martha"
*HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT NAME?!*
Ghoulification is a mutation caused by severe and prolonged radiation exposure. They can withstand AND be healed by radiation. They have extended lifespans, but also can suffer from mental deterioration, which results in the ghoul turning feral, those ones are essentially zombie rage monsters. In Fallout 4, there was one ghoul in particular who ghoulified by inhaling chems, but that process isn't common.
Ghouls also tend to be resistant to some drugs, hence why in Fallout 3 you find a ghoul developing "Ultra Jet" for ghoul customers ;)
and mental stimulation tends to help them stop going feral (again talked about in Fallout 3, by the doctor in "Underworld", the sanctuary for ghouls) So, Cooper taking the Chem resistant perks and chugging down every booze/chem around makes sense, lol
Most of songs in the show have been used in the games - there are radio stations playing different types of music that you can tune into
Not a gamer so I love these tidbits.
Poor Roger going feral at the beginning 😢 Also, I love your Terrifier shirt so much, Cody
18:03 the way the ghoul just immediately starts doing every drug he can find always makes me laugh
I enjoy that you guys are the only ones I watch dropping Yellowjackets references.
Haha! The ghoul taking the vials without the box is a little nod to the game mechanics where you can loot containers but the containers themselves are useless to you for some reason. Another golden rule. If something in this series doesn't make sense you can rest assured it's a "game thing".
the most incredible thing is that after 200 years the video cassette tape has not demagnetized
It may be that it's made differently from video tapes we know of since the technology in Fallout universe branched differently from ours.
Cooper aka The Ghoul is about 260 years old.
There is a lot of conflicting lore about ghouls in Fallout ( And that's kind of by design). In the fallout universe schools are humans that have been mutated by too much radiation exposure, But there is possibly something to do with thee Forces Evolutionary Virus in that ( That's a bio weapon from the first game And it's kind of a reason so many animals in the fall out world are mutated). Ghouls are functionally immortal, but can be killed. They can be healed by radiation but too much radiation exposure risks turning some of them feral.
That being said nobody knows why some gulls go feral and others don't. There's a lot of theories, but no evidence (the only consistent thing is it's PROBABLY too much radiation).
The serum is an invention of the show, but it's not really contradicting anything in the lore. It's entirely plausible that many of the ghouls we meet in the game don't need the serum, Or are taking it and it's just not important for us to know.
I love the ending of Cooper watching the movie and realising who he has become. Strong, ugly but without dignity.
You can’t take the box in the game only loot it
I've never been up this early! Love your reactions ❤
You know what I realize about you guys reaction when something WILD is about to happen Bridget is always about to take a sip and it’s funnier cause it happens a lot and it’s not planned 😅😂😅😂😅😂
I still remember the poll you guys put up weeks ago and how this was one of the options for you to watch, im so happy it won! Been loving the reactions!! 😁
#1 Reaction channel ❤
Vault 33 only traded with vault 32 every 3 years.🙂
Given that we've had Jims Limbs, May I suggest "Bridgets Digits" ?
My husband and I binged it in a day and a half cause we're huge Fallout fans lol Loved it. Cant wait for Season 2 and omfg i love these reactions lol
So, to explain the ghoul story, the bugs were mutated due to the radiation from the atomic bomb, and well the humans also got mutated into this horrific monster that sorta looks like Freddy Kruger in a way with the skin but people who turn into ghouls, age differently then a normal human, they may look young but they could be like 300 or even 1,000 years old.
They just told you what happened to vault 32. The the final stage of the experiment kicked in.
Niceeeee, I got the 100th like! Love seeing your reactions to this one.
I would love to see you guys stream fallout
I love all of the episodes, especially the last couple ones. But I think 4 might be my favourite one. Everything about the ghouls was excellently done. While you were joking about the glory days at the end there I'm pretty sure you entirely missed the point where pre-war Cooper was indirectly talking to post war Ghoul about not having dignity.
Omg yes! Been waiting for your reactions!!! ❤
I'm so happy for this show.
It encapsulates the hundreds and hundreds of hours i've spent playing, so perfectly.
Gotta get back on my Jet Pack Overpowered Nuka Cola Power Armor and go kill some Deathclaws.
Lucy didn't say her mother died of starvation, only that she starved . . . and that was in 2277, a couple of decades before the events of the show.
;)
1:40 lmaooooo so outta pocket. It’s okay girl dark humour is how we cope 😂
4:10 😂
Martha effects her so much bc it is the first “person” she ever shot to kill.
The Ghoul turned her to a “little killer”, a true Wastelander.
I love that Lucy is still so polite she called a robot "sir"
As someone who thanks Alexa when she answers a random question I ask, I get it....😅
YOU GUYS NEED TO WATCH ‘THE I.T CROWD’ UK TV SERIES.
SERIOUSLY FUNNY (snip snip)
"Beef cakes jerky" 😂
Cody with the double entendre. Bars!
This episode was wild af. Did not expect Martha trying to dunk on Lucy.
It wasn't the first time they'd traded with Vault 32, but as Lucy mentioned in the 1st episode, it's a triennial trade, so they interact every 3 years for one of these exchanges.
Triannual means 3 times a year not once every 3 years theres still big plot holes for them to have been dead for 2 years and still mantain trades 3 times a year
@MrXgodlikexX You're right. But she doesn't say triannual, she says triennial, which means every 3 years. Line centennial means every hundred years.
@@plastic_vicar ohhh I thought she said triannual not Triennial my bad that makes alot more sense
Lucy Gennaro McClane?
Looks like 32 is a scarcity experiment.
I don't think there was any experiment there. Vault 31 supplied overseers to 32 and 33 to see how well people could be managed. 32 dwellers realised this, and went crazy.
I don't think The Ghoul wanted to haul a heavy wooden box around with him, and all the horses are now extinct in the fallout universe.
Love this show
The robot is a " Mr. Handy". Made to Server in every way. He is just following his basic program- routines and phrases .Repairing finger and harvest organs has no connection for him.
❤
Please please tell me you are going to react to The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead this year......and The Vikings.....all great shows.
I recommend Crybaby
Ass jerky don't make itself. But my Fallout characters prefer Stranger Meat Pies. For Fallout players, you know if you know. 😆 This stopping ghouls from going feral "cure" is something new that was introduced to this show. I think by the time they start chanting their name its too late for them even with the "cure". The sweet old lady Martha, was Lucy's first taking someone's life. She's learning the surface life is a harsh lesson. The Ghoul is indirectly teaching her what it takes to survive on the surface, one example is you may be forced to eat another human. The best areas to get meat is the ass and upper legs. 🤮 So far she's refusing to lose her humanity. She could have shot the Ghoul, could not have given him those vials and he would have suffered and turned feral. But she showed mercy and left with a stronger attitude.
Yeah, Ghouls are created by radiation, heavy ambient radiation from a irradiated zone, direct exposure to nuclear weapons, or even due to injecting some nuclear based chemical/drugs this last one is a bit more unclear in the lore because there’s just a few cases of chem based ghouls in the games, I doubt the series is gonna explain much about these type of thing the important points is that they are a species of people that exist in this world an can be friendly and intelligent or mindless feral zombie like creatures
Where’s the second part of invincible reactions?? 😢
earlyyy
5:14 I fucking hate this show so much, what delulu asylum patient wrote that scene and thought it was profound. it annoys me this garbage is getting praised but I get it because fallout is a great setting. but this show is a hollow fragile shell of the real thing.
Reuben, seek help. You really should. XDDDD
The handy dandy 'Po-Boy'!
