- NEW SHOW AND WE WEREN'T READY FOR THIS! 😱😱😱
We are SHOCKED with this first episode, mostly Shuni who never watches this kind of shows, it was just too much! 😖 We need to know everything now! There are so many mysteries to solve:
What about Lucy's parents and the outside world? What happened to her mom? Did Maximus hurt Dane and got away with it? Who is this glasses guy with the dog? Why is he so important? What about the Ghoul? 🤔🤔🤔
Thank you all for watching, we hope you enjoy it and have a great day, love youu! 💖 - Розваги

Hope you make it through the series. It is incredible and so well written. I cannot say the next seven episodes together are much less gruesome but a few are and none are significantly more gruesome. The show reflects the level of violence in the games (all of which I’ve played). Great reaction!
The story is so interesting! We knew nothing about the games but we really love the world building it has.
Shuni will have to suffer a little bit more, because we really want to now how it goes
Thank you so much, #NerdishReact, for uploading your reaction to the first episode of this new show. I love you so much, and I'm still supporting you because your anime content is absolutely amazing, and also because I enjoy watching your reactions to different anime series.
Thank you Brian! We are happy you joined us in this new adventure 💕 Love youu
Great reaction! This show is very faithful to the game in every way, but most importantly in tone and in that it actually is considered canon to the games although 2296 is a few years after all of the games.
Thank you so much!
We are glad it's faithful to the game, it looks like it's violent but exciting at the same time 😁
Thanks for reacting to this! 🥰 Great reaction! I look forward to watching your reactions to the rest of the episodes.
Thank you so much for supporting our channel as always 🥰 This show is very promising so far so we are really happy that you are enjoying it with us 💖
In the games you explore a bleak wasteland full of skeletons and stories. But the weird thing is that people are still surviving and although some are ruthless raiders many are normal people and some are even good people. You find community and love and hope amond the danger and death and loss and it's deeply beautiful. Welcome to 2296!
what game did you play that was based in 2296? lol fallout 4 was in 2287 and the rest are set before that so
So far we love the world building of this story and we can't wait to learn more about the characters and what the future holds for them. We are happy you joined us 💖
Also someone mentioned in another comment that the games are set a few years prior to what's in this series, but that it's still canon, right?
@@NerdishReact yes everything in the games are still canon for the show and i believe the show will now be canon for any future games i think i heard that somewhere
@@rileytruax766 The show is set in 2296
@@rileytruax766Yes, Bethesda stated the story is canon and set in 2296, nine years after the events of FO4 and nineteen years after the events of FO: New Vegas.
It's definitely a lot for people who have not played the games. The story is what pulls people in, and the violence is simply the grit of reality in all humanity. And the choices you make, in games anyway, define who you are. Very few games let you do that. And this show represents it very well through different character plots.
Sounds like a cool game! We're glad it got adapted properly
The pip-boy they wear on their arms is a multi-function tool, kind of like a smart phone. The syringe thing she used is called a stimpac, and in the games it can heal anything except radiation poisoning, even regenerate limbs, if you have enough stimpacs.
Ohh that's so awesome! Those stimpacs must be so valuable
Welcome to Fallout. Its based on a video game in a retro future world with sometimes a dark sense of humor. The needle Lucy took is the in game healing item called a stimpak, it can heal some pretty rough things including stabbing. You will find out lot as you watch it and figure things out, it is by the same guy who wrote the movie Interstellar.
Thanks for the welcome 🤗
Ohhh we thought that was something like adrenaline but it's so much more than that, thanks!
I’m so glad that you’re reacting to this! 😊🥰
😁😁 awesome! We are happy we made the right decision about reacting to it
unnecessarily excessive violence is a big part of the fallout. Maybe it helps that no one in the show actually lived, we see an alternative world history in which the bombs fall in 2077 and humanity is almost wiped out. I hope you have fun despite the brutal violence, the sets, the cast, the soundtrack, it's all too beautiful to be ruined by a few exploding or sawn-off heads
The story is so well produced that Shuni can enjoy it anyways 😁 and this is totally what I like watching so we are both having a blast with this show
This show is rough to watch, but kind of delightful to re-watch. Every episode has dramatic irony around the reveals of the last two episodes
The opening scene where the world ends is October 2077 in a 1950s sci-fi kind of future where America embraced nuclear power but wouldn't share it, causing resource wars
That's really cool! We haven't seen much but from what we've seen, the storytelling is so well done. Even considering it's sci-fi, the story is realistic in its own way and we really like that
Did you recognize the Ghoul? They have extremely long lives...
I actually realized while editing this video and I filmed the moment I told my sister, you'll see it on episode 3 reaction 🤗 we had no clue while watching episode 2
This show is really gonna test you. Its violent and gory. I hope you can make it though, because the story is accurate really good.
We are determined to watch all of it and so far the story is so cool that Shuni can put up with the gore stuff lol
Im so happy you are reacting to this. It seems you didnt pick up on sone important detail right atvthe end. I am sure youll figure ou it out next episode.
Whats the schedule for this? Is it too greedy to ask for one every other day? XD lol inhaling the hopoñium hard here
We're glad you enjoyed this reaction 🤗
It will come out twice a week (Tuesdays and Saturdays as long as we don't have trouble with copyright on UA-cam, and Patrons of tier 2 get one episode ahead).
Hey there. Ghouls in the Fallout universe are not dead. Most people in Fallout that get too much radiation just die like in real life, but some mutate and become ghouls. Imagine them as walking humanoid immortal tumors
Thanks for explaining that! It sounds like a life full of a whole lot of pain so we get that they lose their minds 😣
The show is based on a popular video game. Some things that seem ridiculous in real life happen in the games, it's called in-game logic, like pulling out the knife. You don't have time to get to a doctor and moving around with a knife sticking out of you would cause more injury. The item that Lucy injected herself with is called a Stimpak and in the games they have nearly instantaneous healing properties. Gore, blood, violence, comedy and dumb things happening are all the same things in the games.
Don't take the actions of the show too serious, it's all just a game.
As far as the vaults are concerned, this show is the only time we have seen three interconnected vaults. In the Fallout universe/world there are around 122 vaults across the "Commonwealth" of America.
We didn't know about stimpaks before so now it makes perfect sense why she would do that, everyone would if they had a magical way of getting instantly better so it makes perfect sense 😅 In this universe, that was actually the right thing to do
I think you found another good show for the channel! Look at these numbers! Yayy!
And as always, fun watching! Great reaction!
Yes!! We're so excited and full of hope for this show 🤗 thank you for always being here 😊
I hate spoilers as much as anyone, but if you continue the show it's important that you know that no matter what happens the dog will be okay.
We saw episode 2 without knowing this and we said some pretty mean stuff about the ghoul lol 😅
@@NerdishReactI’m sure y’all have heard of the “does the dog die” website but if not, it basically tells you if a dog (or any animal) gets hurt in a given movie or show so you can go into it more prepared (or just choose to avoid it)
I am so glad I found this channel
Happy you're joining us ❤️
5:27 YES! So few channels do this, stopping to talk about a scene and not just continuing the train of shot-for-shot react. Thank you!
Thanks! We try to do it when something really big just happened or we need to talk about theories and stuff. We're glad you enjoy it :)
15:44 that shot is called a Stimpak, Stimpaks are basically shots filled with a mixture of healing agents, stimulants, antiseptic, blood, and steel, they’re fully capable of healing all to some physical injures (I say all to some because some injures require more than one Stimpak.) these are one of many chems, short for chemicals, you can find…these various chems include Mentats, a pre-War "party-drug" originally developed by Med-Tek, an in game company, for medical purposes, Buffout, a "sports-enhancement" drug popularized by pre-war athletes, Psycho, a combat-enhancement drug developed at the behest of General Chase, that’s something that happens post-war, Med-X, a painkiller found in many hospitals in game, and Rad-X, a preventive medication to be taken before exposure to radiation, when you take Rad-X in game it reduces the total amount of radiation you receive and bolsters your body’s own Radiation Resistance.
They sound so useful! Such a shame they don't exist in real life to make injuries easier to handle 😅
I never played fallout and I’m not really into shooter games. I’ve played a few over the years. A standard feature of these games is some form of “health pack”. Often it’s a box with a red cross like a first aid kit. When you find one you walk on it to pick it up.
After you’ve been hurt in combat, you restore health by using the health pack.
So when Lucy picked up the hypodermic, I knew what it was. It’s funny to me that the TV series isn’t just set in the game’s world, but that it uses these computer game conventions.
Skip the first 10 seconds of ep2
We had already reacted to it because we are one episode ahead on Patreon 😅
If you missed it, Lucy is Emma Purnell, who voiced Jinx in Arcane.
We found out through a TikTok after watching episode 1 and we talked about this at the beginning of the reaction to episode 2 if you want to check that out. We love her so much! She's sooo talented
Her name is Ella Purnell.
@@rromano158 oh jeez. That, too heh
If it's any consolation, episodes 1+2 are the goriest. Which is not to say that there's none in the next 6, but the hard part is over then basically.
That's a relief, Shuni will very much appreciate it 😁😅
I don't know if you cosplay but If you chose to go with Fallout The girl with the glasses coult really rock the blue Vault Dweller suit. And the girl with the orange sweater would nail the look of a Squire from Brotherhood of Steel.
We've never cosplayed before but it's never too late right? 🤭 We can totally see your vision
That is not just sad because I am a massive Horror fan but because some of the best Horror from the last 5 to 10 years has not only come out of Latin America, in general, but has directly out of Argentina.
Sorry!! We disappointed you haha horror makes our skin crawl in such a way we can't really enjoy what we are watching, so we are not really its target audience 😅
Sex with your cousin is wild 🤣😂 lucy is a great protagonist she's so innocent Okie Dokie
Maximus was acting sus the whole time i think he actually may have been yhe culprit
The ghoul is the typical Bethesda too cool for school character
Right! She's such a sweet girl, we don't want the world to corrupt her but she also needs to step into reality.
We don't know much about Maximus but he's suspicious as f
And we are terrified by the ghoul, but his theme song is sooo cool
they embraced the fact that this is based of a computer game. they included some ingame logic, and also some over the top violence and gore. there are indeed some shots that are disturbing for everyone, but its a bit like a parody its so over the top and mixed with music that its basically impossible to be taken as serious.
It's a fantastic take to be honest, really my cup of tea. Shuni isn't used to the violence but the story is so well done that she can enjoy it anyways (still she gets a little scared 🤭)
Lovely reaction. Looking forward to the rest if you do it! Question tho, did you realize the ghoul was the cowboy at the birthday party in the beginning? Couldn't really tell, unsure if it got lost in the edit or not. You guys are great keep it up.
Thanks for supporting! I actually realized while editing this video and I filmed the moment I told my sister, you'll see it on episode 3 reaction 🤗 we had no clue while watching episode 2
*glasses' in the left's smirk after the dog talk was priceless
😁😁
10:40 "My name is Monty. Full Monty."
Series essentials without spoiling anything given the show stays pretty vague but nothing I'm saying here looks like the show will even tackle given it has its own plot line and we're all along for the ride,
The year in the show is 2296 and takes place in the same timeline as the games but is the furthest story line in the time line of events of the Fallout universe.
Lucy is a vault dweller. A bunch of vaults were constructed before the war to house those financially able enough to purchase a home within them for their family. She's the descendant of the survivors and as vaults go hers is a rather good one and she's an excellent byproduct of underground living as it was intended.
Maximus is member of the Brotherhood of Steel. The Brotherhood is a surviving group of humans that were once a large military unit and their families from California that survived the war by taking shelter in a reinforced underground military bunker. They're a technology cult that hoard technology because they believe humanity will doom itself to oblivion if allowed to use technology in irresponsible ways that will domino effect to a nuclear war all over again. They once ruled the California wasteland but, fell on hard times after a series of conflicts with the human settlements that were already developing on the surface. They are being supported by that massive airship you see which came from their Eastern chapter on the East coast(the Eastern chapter is explained if you play the games Fallout 3 and 4).
The Ghoul is...a survivor. Ghouls specifically are humans that survived the war by sheer luck. The radiation of the Fallout of the war didn't kill them but instead made them somewhat immortal but the trade off is explained in this show and if you play, well, practically any of the Fallout games you'll get a deeper explanation of their people meeting a lot of them in the wastelands each game takes place in.
Also, don't worry about not knowing that much about the games, the franchise, or the lore. This is an original story set in the timeline of that world after all of the games so you're getting a unique look into the world of Fallout and it's told in a way that even non-fans can sort of understand what's going on. It's not going to Mandalorian season 2 you with a bunch of lore details and references you won't understand without context. It's pretty cut and dry...of course, for us in the know there's a lot of issues, debate, and questions but, that's for us to worry and nerd out over.
Thank you so much for taking the time to explain all of that! We wondered about some of those details regarding this new world and you explained it perfectly. Thank you again!
This show is going to be a tough watch for the gore averse.
I’m not averse to gore, I just find it both boring and numbing. I used to really like the movie Kill Bill with its over the top “aesthetic violence”, but now I’m kind of meh about it.
I can’t say I hated the gore and violence of this show, but I was shocked by it. It’s pretty strong stuff. I started watching with my 11 year old primito and I had to turn it off because I knew his mom would kill me. And THAT is violence I don’t want to see. Heads blowing up? Fine. But death by chancla? No way, José.
LOL death by chancla has to be the worst way to go 😂
Shuni still has a hard time watching gore scenes, but the story totally made up for it for her.
Limited gene pool in a vault.. Lucy = New Player...The Ghoul = Advanced Player
Ohh it makes sense!
Lol right, at some point you run out of options 😅
0:29 Argentina? Wow!! It's nice to see what my nerdism of the Fallout games has brought me, in terms of new channels, with the advent of the TV show.
I looked through you react history, and you aren't supporting neo dr who, so I'm stoked to see your reactions!! Also, love the family dynamic of hanging out together and reacting :)
Welcome to the channel! We're glad you found your way here :D
We aren't sure what you mean about supporting neo dr who thought. It's a show some people suggested but we don't know much about it.
I THINK IS ABOUTH OF 130 VALUTS IN GAME,EATCH HAVE OWN STORY
Ohhh that's so many!! We imagined there could be around 50 but we were do wrong
So you're saying they don't play video games in Argentina? I'm pretty sure people that play video games in Argentina know about Fallout. Stick with the show and keep watching it It's very fun and entertaining and just remind your sister it's all make believe it's not real.
Lol people play videogames here but we have never heard from this one in particular so it might not be trendy here 😅 we aren't gamers but we've heard of other games. Still we are no reference of the Argentine gaming community, we might be saying nonsense just because we don't move in that circle.
We're determined to finish this reactions, we love the story and world building so far 🤗
5:00 - Adorable. I feel you. This show has made me cry multiple times.
Right? It has a very cool way of connecting with our emotions. We love that about this show
I wonder how long it will take them to realize the ghoul is the cowboy from the beginning
And now we'll never know... :)
@@MrSokaris01 I think they're gen Z. Probably won't know what that comment is about by time they get back to it. ;)
@MrSokaris01 don't worry, you'll see our reaction on today's video 😉
Spoiler alert, I realized when I was editing episode 1 and I filmed myself telling Shuni because I anticipated the spoilers in the comments.
@HalkerVeil Also, my sister is a millennial and I'm kinda in the middle of that and gen z, not sure how that would affect it tbh lol
3:28 good point! He even almost doesn't tell her, but sees her dejection. Then he decides to be honest with her and level with her, not patronizing her as you said.
Yes! He was such a good father.
12:55 Good calls!
Thanks!
Like your reactions. Don't like the fade in and out edit style. Check out other more seasoned channels for ideas. ( not a copy write issue, standard comment of new channels using blurry clips) good reactions..
Hi! Thanks for the recommendation, but the laptop we have is very old and it's the only thing we have to edit with, so we have to use the program it comes with that because other programs are to much for that computer. The only option we have in that program is the fading, so for now we won't be able to change that
@@NerdishReact They did great Job on the show. They Used Clint Eastwood Old Westerns, "The Good The Bad andThe Ugly" Lucy is Good, Maximus little bit Bad and the Ghoul Is Ugly..They did similar thing with The Mandalorian.
Wait.. You Two seriously ok when humans die but not A CHICKEN? Wholly Hell..Have you ever ate chicken? Been to store? Driven by KFC or Chik filet? Wow kids these days.. 🙄
I legitimately can’t tell if you’re being serious or not. Yeah man, a lot of people have a hard time seeing animals get hurt in media
@@murph64 I agree. I HATE HUNTERS THAT MOUNT ANIMAL HEADS. I live in a state that has many hunters.. Is fine if for meat and regulated. Most of them hunt for horns..I always guve them shit about it..Make you feel like bad was shooting animal that doesnt know your even there? My wife's sister is married to a Gun Shop Owner, he takes people on Trophy hunts in Africa and such..I voice my opinion about how cowardice they are. They get mad, but I dont care. Anyhow I see young people these days on you tube, it's such an over exaggeration, that it is Odd.. Been around double your lifetime at least..
A Chicken? Do you eat Chicken? Or any meat? Ever? So say a Dog Attacked your companion, should she just let the Dog, Bite & maul her or kill her? Or fight back? I just see 15 people get blown away, Reactors like WOW Cool, but if guy defends himself from dog attack, you would think world ended.. Such Odd Generation...
It's because people can be portrayed as good or bad. You wish well for the good ones, but the bad ones we can have a very harsh reaction to - and want them to face justice or be harmed for their evil. But not with animals... they are always just helpless victims.
Also, now that I've watched the reaction.. they had to stop several times in the opening scene because of how much the violence against people affected them.............. so..............
To answer that, Shuni is vegan and I (Lucy) am a vegetarian. We don't eat chicken, or meat at all and we haven't done it in years now.
We even had chickens as pets when we were little, and no, we didn't eat them.
The chicken that was taken by those men had absolutely nothing to do with that situation and they were treating it like it was a thing that they could use and dispose of. So if you ask me, the chicken wouldn't deserve to die in that awful way.
And no, I've never been to Chick-fil-A or KFC.
We'll not turn this into a discussion about whether it's ok to eat meat or whatever because this is not what our channel is about, just try to open your mind and consider that people can get upset for the death of animals in a different way than you do and that's ok.
@@NerdishReact Fair enough.. I been around 6 decades, seen LOTS of changes, trends behaviours that have come and gone, some coming back again..Ive never seen this odd flip out on defending yourself when dogs attack you.. Or Watching 3 guys get killed, but the chicken is thankfully Saved.. I think this trend is because today no one agrees on ANYTHING. I think common ground everyone should agree on is animals. So now its over the top..
