‘You want another autograph young Henry’🤣 my boi is ruthless with the one liners 🥶
Nobody could play him so well as Walter.
@@infiad1275 *Walton. I've made the same mistake lol
Im still not tired of reactors watching this show. They really nailed it. I write that everytime a reactors get to episode 8.
It's a rollercoaster! Watch them get confused
That's New Vegas, and the animals there are gonna put the Radroaches and the Bears to shame.
I can’t wait
The deathclaw skull tease was dirty lol. Spent the whole season waiting for them to at least be mentioned
@sherlockbones8446 You'd think there should be more Deathclaws in California since they are mutated Jackson's Chameleons native to East Africa and introduced in places like California.
However, they weren't a mutation of ones that were in the wild.
They were bioengineered by the military for deployment in China, but the bombs fell before they went into use and they escaped and spread.
@Dkmaster69 Yea I'd chalk it up to either budget restraints or just wanting to save them for the next season. They're technically all over America by now, they're one of the wastelands apex predators.
I believe Betty was also involved in the bombing of Shady Sands. Remember when she said, that she and Hank buried Rose together?
I don't think Coopers family is in Vault 31. Those are assistants, Bud's trainees. Barb was a higher ranking member of Vault-Tec.
Maybe Stephanie too. She’s from Vault 31 also, although we’ve yet to see her in the past.
I think it could be and might not be. Barb did say she worked hard to get them into a special vault for management, I guess there might be more management vaults. Though they only mentioned the one 3 vault set in the meeting.
I don't think she was involved in the bombing but certainly in the cover up. I wouldn't be surprised If Hank overstepped his authority by destroying Shady Sands. That seemed to be a personal thing, not a deliberate action by Vault Tec.
@@windsaw151 As Bud said in this episode, they intend to wipe everyone else other than Vault-Tech from the surface, I don't believe Hank overstepped anything by nuking Shady Sands. I too believe Betty and Hank together did the nuking.
@kc1john , Stephanie is aged with Lucy, I don't think she was "awake" 19 years ago to help with the nuking.
When Betty talked to Norm telling him that he was lucky not to see what clever boys can do when angry was actually talking about her watching hank nuke Shady Sands.
"Oh, Ghoul!" That's the same ghoul that stopped to say "Thank you" when released from the Super Duper Mart
By the way, those are actual vaults from the games that they were suggesting at the table.
16:46 the code is actually "101097", the release date of the first Fallout game (10 October 1997) :)
That’s a nice little Easter egg
oh damn nice catch!!! That's crazy
I got that also. I bought the game but never finished it. Just got out of college at the time and had to pay the bills. Not much time for games. To this day it is still unfinished. Just like I have not finished the DLC for fallout 3, Old World Blues, Dead Money and Fallout 4. Work interferes with my gaming time.
Just for clarification - Buds Buds were junior executives - not Barbs level. The people in Vault 31 are more like... assistant managers. If Barb is somewhere, she'll be in a HIGHER level vault.
the end credits show a Vegas billboard that reads: the Tops Hotel & Casino Cryo Suites... 🤔
@@dude-man ooooooh!!! I never noticed that!
I realised upon watching a couple of reactions that Bud's car is somewhat foreboding in that it actually looks like his brain bot. Look at it; black with a big, clear dome and Bud inside it. That's definitely deliberate. 😂
lol
Maldaver and Rose..... they were "roommates"
I think that so too. Moldaver couldn't let her go so she Ghoulled her. Sad we won't be seeing the past from her perspective and how she made it to the future.
@@marcosbob yeah, since they're both dead it would be a bit weird bringing their story into the next season. Unless there's an interesting way round it.
A lot of people seem to want to push back that “there’s no reason to think they were more than friends” which… I guess isn’t totally wrong? But it does seem like a bit more than a friends thing to be so unable to let someone go even as a ghoul.
@@RocketSurgn_ I can't speak for anyone else but it was pretty obvious to me
@@davidabercrombie5427 Actually they might not even be the focus for the next season Fallout franchise being as it is and with Jonathan Nolan's crazy shenanigans.
Historians will say that Lee & Rose were good friends...
Bud’s brain on a roomba was hilarious. A deserved fate. And you’d think they’d have more security to such an important vault than a brain on a roomba.
They expected the blast doors to keep anyone out. They did not expect someone to hack an overseer computer and pretend to be the overseer. Also they don't need a lot of security for one person getting in that way as you say it was pretty trivial for bud to trap him
Also the arrogance of Vault Tec is rivaled only by Emperor Palpatine. They thought their plans were perfect and they would eradicate human surface existence to rule the world.
After learning about vault 31, all i can hear now in every 33 conversation is HR/management speak
And all of Lucy’s conflict resolution language?
"Management. Management never changes..."
"What if any operating principle do you follow?" 😂😂😂
"Get that jelly mold outta here!"
yeah there's a reason they got the guy from Severance to be one of the main vault 33ers
You need two separate breeding pools to reduce the amount of cousins that occur. After a while the occupants from 32 would become too closely related, but those in 33 (whilst too closely related to themselves) would be far enough removed from 32.
Then you just insert a 31 every now and then as part of 'management promotion'.
And it seems like they mostly work their way down the seniority with time (though maybe some more senior mixed in later)… since both Hank and Betty are shown as pretty low seniority assistant type roles. Though I guess it also may just be because of it only being one of vaults management ended up in and 31 puts them in more of a “part of the experiment” role than true senior management would go for since 31 actually eventually join the vault dwellers.
And those asking about Coopers wife, she's a high level executive. She would be at Vault 0 or Vault 1. Basically the "home office" Vault where Vault Tec can oversee all other vaults.
Coop got divorced from his wife, after what he learned about her role at Vault-Tec.
But she wasn't the one who dropped the nukes...she was in no position to "push the button".
She and the others could only "set up the stage", so to speak.
Therefore, she had no idea, when exactly it would happen, and had no reason to keep her daughter at her side on that day _(Coop's weekend)._
Pretty sure Cooper's family is not in 31 since those were Bud's Buds. Barbara was high ranking Vault-Tec executive. She and her daughter could be in another vault yet to be revealed.
Agreed, she doesn’t seem the type to plan on being among the experimental subjects and seemed to make it fairly clear she wasn’t a fan of Bud. The whole experiment also doesn’t really make sense for senior executives (or any with existing family they’d bring along) since I can’t see them wanting to hang out in cryo all this time without at least occasionally waking up to make “important synergistic decisions”.
Lucy and Maximus could have already met in Shady Sands, both were there as kids. Still unknown how Moldaver survived, but in the outtro is a billboard for rentable cryo-suites and Moldaver had a ton of money after being sold-out by Vault-Tec for her cold fusion invention.
Best game adaptation to the date.
Cannot wait for the season 2!
seems the key is to produce a story within the world, inspired bu the feel of the game, rather than retell a storyline of a game.
Maybe "adaptation" is technically not the right word, however I do agree with you, this is the best yet!
The last of us is the best ,fallout not ever clousd. My opinion.
25:08 Her cheerful okey-dokey from the first episode changed dramatically to this "i've seen too much sh*t in this wasteland to care even more" version. Showing the change that the wasteland does to your mental capacities
"Okie dokie" is a line that l will never get tired of. It's a completely different line every time it's delivered, but Ella delivers it perfectly every time. From happy, to reluctant, to horny, to sad. It's perfect in every instance. Okie dokie.
Wilzig: "If you insist on staying, then you will have to adapt. Question is will you still want the same things when you have become a different animal altogether?"
5:40
Coop's car is a 1954 Kaiser Darrin, Bud's is a 1955 Messerschmitt KR200.
I think Rose and Maldaver were more than friends... which is why she kept her alive.
And it’s wild that Lucy tells Maldaver she “wasn’t raised that way” when telling her she wanted to be peaceful... come to find out it was Rose and Maldaver that raised her, her father kidnapped her and VIOLENTLY nuked 30,000 people because of his pride.
So glad you guys loved it!
Come on season 2!!!
Just gals being pals…
I agree, either they were best friends - OR romantically involved.
The wife and daughter are likely in cryo in a vault for the highest core people in Vault-tec (CEOs, board members, and the best support staff). They would be revived when Reclamation Day was successful.
Yeah, I think it's implied they were more than friends, although I didn't catch it on the first watch. And that would mean Hank nuked an entire city because his wife left him for another woman 😉
@@michaelschwartz8730 That's what I got, too.
Rose and Moldaver were good friends. Possibly "roommates".
21:28 "I'm gonna put my mom in there and she's gonna eat you" best reaction line ever!
This is the best reaction i've seen of the whole dialogue with the ghoul at the end, never seen other reactors react that way. That was insanely well done.
Barb told Cooper that they woukd be going to a special vault for senior executives where they would oversea all the other vaults and thats NOT 31. Vault 31 was part of Bud's experiment (Bud's Buds) involving the 3 interlinked vaults and his program for junior executives like Betty, Hank & Stephanie. Cooper's family are in another vault tgat we'll presumably see in Season 2.😊
5:55 that car is a real-life Messerschmitt KR200, very similar to a car model that we can see in games.
I've watched you guys so much that I sing Bridget's name for every intro, and I think I made the same face Cody did when she sang it weird. 😅
It's like a doorbell and the door is about to open on a new reaction.
There is a vault in the first Fallout game called Vault 12, wich true purpose, not known by the residents, was to study the effects of radiation on residents. To ensure this, Vault-Tec designed the vault door not to close.
New Vegas in the last scene! Glad you enjoyed the series so far
28:11
Moldaver and Rose: History will remember them as "really good friends"
Barb went full Anakin in her quest to protect her family.
Bud on the roomba is actually called "Brain on Roomba" in the subtitles and cast section of Prime video
For some Fallout lore, I'd suggest the Templin Institute channel. They do a lot of franchises, and they have some Fallout videos.
With subjects like:
- Shady Sands
- New California Republic
- The Brotherhood
- Vault-Tec
- The Nuka Cola Corporation
I love when Cody loses his mind bc of all the twists!
“ I think they were good friends” *meanwhile she holds her corpses hand*
"So cool that the ghoul knew the weakness of the armor." -- Also don't forget in episode 1 or 2, he fights Max in power armor, and does the same thing. I don't mean he shoots the weak spot, but I do mean he sarcastically says "read the manual" and then cuts *another* weak spot, ruining Max's armor. The ghoul just keeps doing it.
He wasn't entirely sure about the weld weakness in that first fight, and he clearly saw Max was a bumbling newbie and didn't "punch down". The Brotherhood in the end were an actual threat.
Yes, every Fallout fan did the Leonardo DiCaprio pointing meme when we saw New Vegas 😂
Let's gooooo! I want you two to play New Vegas and Fallout 4 so bad.
The cold fusion vial was in Wilzig's skull, not his neck. Everyone says its the neck, but I get it - the scene of him inserting that into his skull freaks me out every time I see it. It's worse than the squashed foot.
Goosey and the Ghoul, my favourite duo 😂
I've got an oddball suggestion for you guys. An old HBO show starring Clancy Brown and Nick Stahl called Carnival. It was creepy af Supernatural stuff you'd really like I think
I loved that show! Doesn't get as much love as it deserves
Yesssss 😩👏
I am always happy when the notification pops up that you guys uploaded! ❤
Bud's car is straight up Cousin Itt's car from Addams Family 1991!
Ghouling happens both overtime and not to everyone or to someone exposed to bomb level radiation again doesn't happen to everyone.
It would be cool to find out Vault-Tec somehow created the ghoul serum to specifically punish Cooper for some reason, and somehow it spread ..
Cooper is the key.
😁
Or if you ingest too much jet.
Rarely, it can happen spontaneously due to an actual detonation, as we saw with Moira Brown.
So cool to see how much you're loving this!
If you decide to play one of the games, I would recommend Fallout 4 over Fallout 76. 76 is... different... and fans are really divided on it, but 4 gives you a really fun story and a more typical 'Fallout' experience.
Fallout: New Vegas is great, but I would recommend Fallout 4 or 3 for someone's 'first' Fallout game.
Definitely gotta watch a video about all fallout vault experiments! Thanks for a great reaction!
You can see "Strathosphere", at the beginning of "The Strip".
Great reaction!

"no. bye" lol
"Okie dokie" is a line that l will never get tired of. It's a completely different line every time it's delivered, but Ella delivers it perfectly every time. From happy, to reluctant, to horny, to sad. It's perfect in every instance. Okie dokie.
It actually gets called brain on a roomba in the captions 😂
The code Hank enters to activate the cold fusion - 101097 - was the release date of the original Fallout PC game, October 10th, 1997
"I will kick you in the brain"
Made me lol.
I always noticed on maps behind Barb's back, all illuminated spots were presumably a vault, that Texas coast had what 4-5 vaults really close that are not featured in the game (unlike Virginia concentration of vaults featured in Fallout 3)...I find it intresting. Maybe that is the power concentration for real higher ups? probably not but its interesting idea if second Season takes place in New Vegas and leads into Texas.
This Episode has the BEST twist & plot
They said "shoot him" and "do it" at the same time. I love it 😂
Holly molly that was a stunning way to end a season, Love your reactions!
they were definitely more than friends haha
To put New Vegas's appearance into perspective, basically for the last 15 years everyone thought New Vegas was going to be the forgotten game because it was made by Obsidian instead of Bethesda. Bethesda has all of their games set on the east coast, while the OG games and New Vegas are on the west coast. Season 2 is potentially like the sequel it feels like we were never supposed to get.
Welcome to fallout , it's not just a game , it a whole world
Rose and Moldaver were roommates
Barb Howard has to be the biggest villain. The bombing was the 2nd worst, the first was allowing her daughter to be out when the bombs fell.
The daughter being out is a big part of what makes me think the show is running with the same kind of “reveal” as the games have done a couple times already about who fired first - not actually an answer. She made it clear they were willing to start the war themselves _if needed _, but there’s no evidence they actually did.
Until we see otherwise, my suspicion is they had plans to manipulate it into happening (or maybe even launch something themselves) the same as at least one other faction did, but someone were caught off guard with things starting naturally before they expected. Barb seems high enough in the company to at least have some warning to make sure she had her daughter in safety if they actually started things. I think the best answer, though, would be to never really find out who fired first- the chaos of global nuclear war could make it pretty easy to lose accurate records of those 20 minutes or so at the start.
She’d never intentionally put her daughter in lethal danger like that
Such a great series. So well done including the end. Love that you guys didn't get tricked on who she was shooting at the end. Let's go season 2!
you nailed it with predicting every single plot point before they revealed it. good job! this episode is so good. its just twisted reveal after twisted reveal. poor lucy, its so sad her mom there like that and her dad is evil. now she doesn't have either of them. i think that moldaver loved her mom and couldn't bare to kill her. when you said they were friends I was like yes, roommates perhaps haha. i cant wait for season two. there's so much still to know.
yes ive been waiting!!! love yalls reactions and I LOVED the Fallout show
I realized the ghoul was her mother once i saw the arm that would have her pip-boy missing
The last scene was new Vegas, which was a Fallout game
You guys rock! Fallout was super epic!
Not to be that dude, but flags do serve a military purpose as a rallying point for soldiers in the field. It's pretty easy to lose your orientation in the chaos of combat so if you need to reorient yourself or regroup with others, the flag is there as a practical beacon.
I been getting into fallout 76 lately almost to lol 50 and having fun so far and it's like alit of rpgs mmos the end game content is when the game really opens up with like level for good power armors etc
New Vegas and a whole new world of terror.
"The cold stuff - thermo-nuclear..." Cody, you are a fucking gem! 😂😂
"There was no reason they kept Rose alive like that." -- I think Moldaver and Rose were in love. I think Rose left the vault not just to get away from Hank, but to run to Moldaver and live a new life. Hank destroyed Shady Sands not just for Vault-Tec but for revenge, for stealing his wife and breaking up his family. A man scorned, emasculated. I think after Rose became a ghoul, Moldaver's heart was breaking and she just could not bring herself to kill her true love.
I'm glad you guys loved this series as much as I did. We're only half way through the year and i know HOTD season 2 and LOTR: rings of power season 2 are coming out soon, but I'm about ready to say that this will be my favorite series this year!
"I think they were good friends" yeah... friends 😉
They nailed this show.
Btw vault tec did not drop the bombs. What Barb said was a suggestion
Yeah anyone who played Fallout New Vegas instantly recognized that skyline and likely freaked out a bit. They are setting things up for a great second season.
Everyone who plays and loves fallout stood up, looked at everyone close to them, and squealed like a 6 year old in excitement at seeing New Vegas.
So stoked!!!
the 3 cault thing maybe for the genes, if not eventually all will be related. Also the famine years were in the two vaults, it might be a "special" method of population control
for anyone who loved this show & hasn’t seen ‘Westworld’ should do so immediately 🤠🤖 Fallout is definitely the spiritual successor
I read somewhere that J.Nolan was such a big fan of Fallout, he used the game for inspiration for Westworld. Chicken and the egg!
Rewatching the show is great seeing all the hints in hindsight. For some reason the one that made me laugh most was the genetically programmed super-manager asking a raider "what if any operating principle do you follow" in one of the early episodes
32:11 I don't know if that was planned but having 2 vaults for 31 to choose from was vital as redundancy, as we've seen what happened to 32 would have meant the whole thing might have fallen apart and left most Bud's Buds frozen indefinitely (unless they also had a contingency plan for that). As for more predictable objectives, the bigger gene pool would have been an advantage as well since the smaller it was, the sooner they'd be forced to come outside or risk congenital anomalies and even becoming infertile somewhere down the line.
Never turn off the show credits, especially the final ones!! The final credits show you that the next season is going to take place at New Vegas
This reaction was top tier 😂🙌🏻
That's New Vegas at the end
That chick who developed that energy nucleus power source thingy must have been in vault 31 as well, so she can put herself in cryo sleep, because how is she still around 200 years later.?
Edit..she worked for vel-tech.?
Boy, your Patreon list is getting about as long as my morning coils
9:51 - "Who's to say your rats are gonna survive better than those animals on the surface?"
Remember the TV playing as Norm and Chet walked around Vault 31? The Rat-experiment?
And now the scrawled "Death of Management" makes a lot more sense!
I think vault 1 is under the HQ....and it's very fancy...
New Vegas is some *peak* Fallout
19:59 - "If the problem with the world is factions, what is the solution but to get rid of the factions?"
I guess spoilers of the Fallout 4 game, and Fallout 3, ahead:
.
.
.
.
.
.
That is exactly how those games end. Well, kinda..
In each of those games you play through and get to know each of the competing factions by doing quests with them, for them or against them. You will learn their point of view, their good sides as well as their bad sides, and in the end you need to choose a faction to champion which will mean the eradication of the other factions at the hands of yourself and the faction you chose. So the people that you helped and befriended will now need to die so that there can be only one ruling faction.
Vault-Tec just decided to sit this one out and wait underground until all above are dead or so few left that they are easy to subdue and conquor
"I think they were good friends" that's what the history books will say lol
26:23 hahaha
Don't worry, a lot of us teared up too 😢😂
the last scene of the show before credits is new vegas, the very best fallout game ever made, and it is not close, so theres big hype about seeing that place, dont fuck it up, amazon
I immediately called BS that the electrical grid was still up. I mean yeah, I know we're supposed to suspend disbelief to the extreme on this show, but everybody knows one of the first things a nuclear explosion causes is a massive EMP, frying every electronic device, transformer, substation and every single part of the grid. THEN over 200 year passed with zero repairs or maintenance being done. But no, you turn the power back on, and all of LA lights up instantly. As if working light bulbs really solves the problems of a radioactive desert full of monsters and cannibals. It would have made way more sense if she used the power on some water treatment plant, to fill the valley with fresh, clean water.
Other than being “close” friends, they would need Rose alive for her Pip-Boy to be used. Norm mentioned in ep.4 that the bio signature on the one in vault 32 was 2 years ago. This would relate to Norm finding out how the vault door was opened from the outside. Technically, a ghoul is still alive even if feral.
Regarding Coop I think there's a lot we don't know that happened between him spying on her and the bombs. I think at least there was repercussions both was ending in divorce. And for all we know failing to secure company assets allowing her husband to compromise security may have got her demoted.
32:11 My guess as to why 3 vaults is that the "breeding pool" wouldn't get suspicious as to why it was always people coming out of one vault and going into another, having intermingling between 32 and 33 made it less suspicious to see someone coming from 31.
If you're going to play New Vegas, notice the guy with the black mustache at the meeting behind the RobCo sign. That's Robert House, CEO of RobCo, and he is the only one not throwing in suggestions for Vault experiements and who remains unconvinced of the whole idea.
Play New Vegas for more on that.
At the end? NEW VEGAS! I can't wait for season 2 . . .
