    What an incredible review. Your use of the tuning data is spot on. Not too geeky to lose us, but in-depth enough to keep us focused and interested. Well done, Sir. Your inclusion of gaming experience is also very helpful. Thank you as always for your time and hard work compiling the data repository for reference. Take care and all the best.

    They fixed a lot on this vs the wired version. The mic sounds better, side tone actually works, EQ works and the mic mute button doesn’t make a loud pop when you click it. I returned the wired version because of these issues so I think I’ll give the wireless version a shot.

    For the mic, put the default format to 32000 Hz in the Microphone Properties > Advanced tab (In Windows Control Panel, under System > Sound). Default 16000 hz and sounds more like a recording, 32k is more like talk radio, it's super clean. What an amazing mic and heaset all around. Man your content is really good. Keep it up. The graphs, measuring with different pads, the eq's for games, real value videos. It just amazes me how much of a surprise every unboxing and testing still is even though I at this point know well what frequency regions I dislike and what kind of curve is what my best sounding (to me) gear have. The freq response on the cloud iii wireless looked so damn good, and you mentioning the sidetone is great also got me really excited, exactly what I want from a headset. But upon getting them, putting them on and listening to music and gaming I was just immediately disappointed by the overall sound and timbre. Shouty, no air, bass okay, small soundstage, congested feeling. Fine ingame, but not worth the price imo. My Cloud Core Wireless sounds better to me. Will be returning these, it looks great on paper but reality came in hard. Keep doing what you're doing man, it is quality content.

I own the HyperX CloudX Flight and they're just ok, and I also own the HyperX CloudX Stinger Core direct pair for Xbox and they're excellent, but it's time for them to bring something new to the Xbox.

      @granat7241 5 місяців тому

      @@bilgekaancetinkaya5717 Yeah, they are great. The battery life is out of this world, I only had to charge them like twice since I bought them and I play a lot of CS2. They are very comfy, so no headaches from too long gaming sessions. Range is very good, I had no problems walking around the house with them on. Just one note from me - they're great for gaming, but if you wanna listen to music on them, then you might be a bit disappointed. It's not like they're horrible for music, but still, I wouldn't recommend them for that.
      Oh, and the mic is really good, definitely the best I've had in a gaming headset. If you buy them - remember to install the software "NGENUITY" and update them, the sound feels much better afterwards.

      @@nishino3592 It's a great headset, the battery life is absolutely amazing. I'm past my skeptical phase about wireless headsets now. Microphone is much better than in the wired Cloud II's, which was the main issue that I had with them. Sound is different, requires a bit of time to get used to, but I'd say that it's on the same or very similar level. They are also very comfy, but heavier than wired II's. During longer sessions (like 4-5h) with the headset and glasses on, it can hurt a bit, not too bad though. Overall, I really recommend it, best headset I've had.

    I upgraded from Cloud 2 wireless to Cloud 3 wireless, mainly because of the significantly longer battery life. The new headset arrived today and I'm shocked at the poor sound compared to the previous model. The sound feels so thin and weak, there is absolutely no bass. I tried a bit with the HyperX software and also installed DTS Sound Unbound. The HyperX software does absolutely nothing, with DTS Sound Unbound it is a little better, but still no comparison to the previous model. Headset is back in the box and will be sent back. Something I noticed with the Cloud 3 Wireless, is the mic doesn't pick up any sound leakage from the headset. I've had this problem with the Cloud Alphas and Cloud 2 (wired) and it's been quite annoying as someone who speaks in voice chat a lot and has relatively high volume on. The Cloud 3's from my testing, doesn't pick up any sound, even like super loud music doesn't get through to the mic. Super impressed so far with that alone.

The only things I do not like about this headset is it takes 5-10 seconds of holding the power button to turn it on and off, and once it is on there is no LED indicator to let you know it is on. But besides that this is a 9/10 headset at it's price point.

    I've been meaning to pick up a pair of these and your review had cemented my purchase decision. However, in the meantime, I read Rtings' review of this headset and they claim it has a very noticeable noise floor. I experienced this with a pair of Cloud II Wireless I returned in the past and it's a deal breaker for me.
