- This is how I modded and kept the original look of the Cooler Master Hyper 212 RGB Black Edition to fit with NR200P TG panel. It's a very easy mod to do with no compromise on perf.
Planning my build now, this gives me peace of mind knowing that it is possible to make it work.
Thanks!
Super nice! Didn't know you could remove those fins. Thanks!
You're welcome!
Thanks so much man! Works great with about half a millimetre of clearance to spare lol. Looks so much better than removing the caps.
Sure!
this worked like a charm
Great easy mod
Glad it was useful!
Hey i want to do this to. What PSU did you have? The smaller ones or the regular ATX?
If you used ATX can you show how you mounted it ?
Corsair SF600 platinum but now I think only the SF750 is platinum.
Does the cooler bend the ram? I was recommended a thermalright phantom spirit se and that one did not fit because the ram spacing it was also like 135mm in width compared to 123mm on this cooler, afterwards i bought a cryorig h7 quad lumi which fits perfectly but they dont come with lga 1700 brackets so i have to return both coolers, im getting the cooler master 212 black edition for my nr200p and really hope that it fits it is stated to be as narrow as the quad lumi 123mm and that one does not bump the ram hopefully it will be good, bought like 3 coolers, 1 aio and only one came with a lga 1700 bracket and that one didnt fit at all.
Dunno what RAM you have but it worked for me or I would not have done this video showing the 2 PC I've build for my sons.
@@Rhialto Corsair Ripjaws S5, not a particularly thick type of ram, im going with the cooler and hopefully all is well, definitely gotta do your mod thanks for that
Hello ! tks for your vids. Did you remove the top fin ? is it easy top remove the top ? Tks.
Hi. You can see that I remove the top cover then remove only one fin then put cover back on.
@@Rhialto Thanks ! I had a friend who didn't believe me ;)
@@Rhialto I did it today. Next step, install in my NR200 :D Next week maybe ! Tks.
@@limafox84 So how easy was it? Like SUPER easy? ;-)
@@Rhialto Super easy! Really!
hey just a question, is it a screw that holds down the top cover? and does it go into multiple heatsinks? the reason im asking this is because i plan to use a be quiet pure rock 2 and it is held down a screw and that goes into multiple heatsinks and i was wondering if i could follow this vid for the pure rock cooler. thx :)
It's a short screw going into firsts fins only. Can't tell about PR2.
Do you have a pic of the clearance from glass panel to the cooler?
Sorry no. I could get home and insert a few sheets of paper between the cooler and glass but why? It clear as long as you remove a fin OR the caps.
But it fits without modifications
With the glass panel it didn't, you either have to do this mod or remove caps. See all other comments from happy users? Guess it depends on the motherboard/CPU height too.
Is it work with the cap ??
Yes, that's the purpose of this video...
hey which fan is that with the cooler?
The RGB fan that comes with the cooler. It's the RGB model like the title says.
Great content, but that side panning effect is really shit. Does nothing to improve the instructions - quite the opposite.
Sorry you don't like, since it's a step-by-step I thought one would pause on a slide if required.
