Just wanna throw it out there, if you made a second channel of nothing but ads i'd sub solely to help keep this channel how it is. i finally built my first pc and don't feel like i went broke solely off the reassurance i get from this channel
I bought a 12600k at launch and just recently upgraded during Black Friday. Still a very good CPU and for $150 an insane value. Still has great performance and is fairly easy to cool.
BRAVO! I couldn't do it better. We usually use i3 PCs for typical office work cost us around $700, but for an i5 mid-level office work, yours is the best bang for buck. Can't wait to see your i7 PC best bang for buck. I was about to thumb you down when I saw the RTX 3080!
The tempered glass version also fits with this cooler (but might be out of budget). You just need to take off the decorative caps at the top of the heatsink which cover the heat pipes (two screws on the top plate) - I run a similar build but with a Ryzen 5600 and rtx 3070 with two fans on the top and get temps around 65c-70c when gaming under load. While the TG does turn things into a little hotbox, I just can't resist staring at what I've built, I'm a sucker for the RGB lighting!
I think I saw a video from machines and more, where a GPU Deshroud actually performed a bit better with tg panel because it forced the air around to cool stuff above GPU instead of letting it out with the mesh panel
@@magnuswf but in itx you should set up upper or lower fans as such they work as exhaust and push cool air inside case through side panels if you have mesh rather than tg.
@@magnuswf not really if your itx case has place to fit fans both top and bottom then put top as exhaust and bottom as intake (can feed graphics card directly air) thus mesh panels help in intake air as air is pushed outward from top. if you can place fans only on one side of case ie top or bottom take them as exhaust (prefer mesh panels) cause it promotes cool air to come though mesh panels. (itx only with mesh panes) ie good airflow
Pretty much a top tier build and great choices! My input would be to maybe take a look at Thermalrights CPU coolers, since they're also budget friendly.
Great stuff, and great timing. Was looking for a new PC for around this budget and already eyeing that particular case. Appreciate you going through the setup as well!
Great setup at this budget. I have this exact case and couldn't be happier with it. In terms of temperature management, it stands out as one of the best ITX cases available, albeit slightly larger. With that said, based on my testing and based on the testing done by Machines & More, I recommend moving the 2 bottom fans to the top for the best temps. The bottom fans are mostly optional and primarily contribute to reducing GPU temps during idle, likely due to modern GPU fans not spinning at idle. Additionally, make sure you have enough room at the bottom for the standard 120mm fans. In my case, I have the Asus RTX 4070 Dual, which is roughly a 2.5-slot GPU, and I can only accommodate slim fans. Standard fans already come into contact with the GPU, which is suboptimal for minimizing turbulence.
Bro, this is the shit. This is what I love to see. Not everyone can afford the highest end stuff, and this is an amazing configuration for the price, especially considering the ITX form factor. Great video, man.
thank you, i too planning to continue what been done, but all devices are in development mode so nothing can be done except showing what already uploaded
Awesome video as always Optimum. Is there a reason that you set the GPU intake fans to not go over 70% utilisation? Is there a point of diminising returns after 70% fan speed vs noise created?
I built in this case recently and I have to say, cable managing the PSU is _very_ important if you've got a card like an FE with a passthrough fan. Otherwise you risk those cables coming out of the PSU dropping straight into that fan. Not a concern at all with normal dual/triple fan cards. I ended up using slim noctua fans on top as exhaust and rotating the CPU cooler 90 degrees to exhaust upwards as well (Noctua will give you a 90 degree adapter for free if you're using one of their products) for negative pressure since the case includes dust filters for the bottom and both sides. Built a little 7700x/4070ti mobile gaming rig and I'm very happy with the result, the NR200P was fun to build in
Yep, exactly. I don't understand why optimum never recommends amd GPUs ever. I've seen a couple amd cpus, but even here like you said the 5600x is simply just better than the 12600k, especially considering how terrible the memory controllers are on 12th gen intel.
I have a very similar build to this already. I'd like to add that the NVME can get quite toasty in there. Mine is currently idling at around 65c. I have one of the baby Noctua fans coming to sit on top of the NVME heatsink, as you've shown in a previous vid they are quite effective
Personal opinion. The ryzen 7600 should be your default cpu. It allows upgrades in the future to at least 3 more confirmed cpu generations with just a bios update. 7600 $200 b650 wifi board $120 and 32gb ddr5 6000 cl32 for $100 which works best with the ryzen infinity fabric. Thats a full platform for $420 that has at least 3 generations of support with a possibility to be extended as amd already extended am5 from 2024+ to 2025+. 12th gen intel is a dead end that doesnt save you that much money
Love this build. The Thermalright peerless assassin is only $30 and destroys that cooler master hyper 212. And a $10 cpu contact frame would further lower temps
He used it cause he got it for free from cooler master, but it happened to fit within his budget. Edit: I'm saying that he probably had most of this stuff laying around and decided to create a build video with it.
thank you so much for sharing Fan Controls! i can’t believe i’ve never heard of it before, i remember using argus monitor years ago but it was dated and only had a free trial
at micro center, i'm pretty sure they're still running mobo+cpu+ram combos for 400 usd. you can either get a 7700x, 32 gigs of ddr5 ram, and a b650 mobo or a 12900k, 32 gigs of ddr5 ram, and a z790 mobo. you will need to get a more mid range gpu tho, which means that maybe its not the best price to performance combo? anything like a 6700xt should fit in the budget fine
Wow, i spent 3k on a setup that was just slightly more powerful. This was in 2020 of course. 32 gb cl18 ram, 5900x, 3080ti strix, 4+2 tb pcie4 m.2 ssd. Its been great for gaming, code compilation and writing code, video editing, and some 3d modeling. My previous pc was a i7 4790k with a GTX 970, a 1 TB HDD, and 16gb of RAM, so that in and of itself was a huge upgrade. Id like to wait for 1 or two more generatiojs of GPUs before upgrading again
I would honestly just try anything to stretch to a ryzen 7600. Improved performance and significantly better upgrade path aside, you would probably save money on the power bill alone.
poor advice... only 16GB RAM but with RGB?! Who cares about RGB in a budget build? Rather take 32GB non-RGB? Especially DDR4-3200 sticks are damn cheap, it wouldn't have broken the budget.
Dude, the difference between 16 to 32gb is a huge jump when you compare it to the $5 he spent on the tiniest bit of rgb. It's not even a set in stone build. Build it how you want it.
@@Cainny if you/he care about saving $5 then you shouldn't spend it on RGB at all. RGB is useless and just a way of wasting money if you don't care about it.
One strange missing piece from this video at the end is that the NR200 does come with fans. A 120mm and 92mm fan with the base case model. They're not the quietest fans out there, but for getting started on a budget they're fine. For better fans, another user said the Arctic fans can come in multipacks for great savings.
I love your videos seriously learned more from you in by watching 3 videos of you then 2 weeks searching on google and reading what peoples say on reddit, i would love a video from you where you explain like you always do in every little detail how to build a pc from scratch from putting cpu to thermal paste to installing every software and overclocking would be so good to see
I have this case. And just rebuilt it with a 7800x3d and kept my 3080.. Two noctua fans on the top and was able to fit a noctua NH-U12A for my CPU cooler - metal side panel, glass wouldn't fit. If you want a cheap itx case that's bigger than the tiny cases (coming from a Ghost s1), it's fantastic. Good budget build.
750w platinum. I'm using a plug in meter to test my case. With nothing overclocked and ram at 4800, I get around 440 watts max after 1hr of tests and games. With ram at 6000 OC and graphics card slightly OC, hit 500 watts, but just. Without water cooling pumps and a larger motherboard it stays very low power. It's also very cool.
I LOVE the NR200 (the case). I've built in it twice, once for my own build and once for my girlfriend's. Don't get me wrong, it's a tight fit if you've never done a small build before. But it's such a nice case for the price that it's hard to justify anything more expensive. The only thing I will say that I miss is a USB-C port on the top. However, if you get a good motherboard you can have that on the back, so even that's not too much of a concern. Great video, as always. Incredible cinematography, as always.
Not bad, good for somebody who hasn't really built before and wants to start with a build that doesn't totally blow their budget out of the water. Acceptable and better GPU than most gamers have. Decent sff case. 8/10

Just wanna throw it out there, if you made a second channel of nothing but ads i'd sub solely to help keep this channel how it is. i finally built my first pc and don't feel like i went broke solely off the reassurance i get from this channel
I got the Zeromouse and i love it!. Great work optimum!🔥
Awesome build. The second you mentioned the combo of parts I knew this was gonna be a fantastic combo.
@@SarthakNarnaulia not sure i follow. You mean intake through mesh sidepanel and both top and bottom as exhaust?
@@magnuswf not really if your itx case has place to fit fans both top and bottom then put top as exhaust and bottom as intake (can feed graphics card directly air) thus mesh panels help in intake air as air is pushed outward from top. if you can place fans only on one side of case ie top or bottom take them as exhaust (prefer mesh panels) cause it promotes cool air to come though mesh panels. (itx only with mesh panes) ie good airflow
@@SarthakNarnaulia thats exactly what i meant from the beginning, though with tg
I'm again overexcited for this amount of determination put in a single video
As always, great and fun content from Optimum
cute comment
@@VinnyUnion Thank you!
I have seen tons of PC builds but always get excited when you do PC build videos!
Pretty much a top tier build and great choices! My input would be to maybe take a look at Thermalrights CPU coolers, since they're also budget friendly.
Love that black and white look contrast of the open case with the Black Coolermaster Cooler.
Great stuff, and great timing. Was looking for a new PC for around this budget and already eyeing that particular case. Appreciate you going through the setup as well!
It just amazes me how good your build are for the money, wow
@optimum about time for an update on this?
after building a full-size atx pc now I am loving these mini itx builds, you can bring your beast anywhere......
1k until the second you’re not in the US…
fr! for me it costs almost 2k
So real
I’m from Europe and the pc just costs roughly over 1100 euros now what the hell are y’all talking about
@@Mister-Toaster different countries have different prices
@@RubineSM you guys are wayyy up
Okay this is incredible BUT how are you so good at literally everything????
Great video, man.
thank you, i too planning to continue what been done, but all devices are in development mode so nothing can be done except showing what already uploaded
i kind of agree that theyre sort of unqualified graphically, so waiting for teams works then record again
Awesome video as always Optimum. Is there a reason that you set the GPU intake fans to not go over 70% utilisation? Is there a point of diminising returns after 70% fan speed vs noise created?
Probably just testing to see where temps are still decent, and noise are obnoxious at high fan level.
Built a little 7700x/4070ti mobile gaming rig and I'm very happy with the result, the NR200P was fun to build in
meh, ryzen 5600X is about 150€ rn, best value by far. With the savings you get a new 6700XT and can game at 1440p and even ultrawide 1440p comfy.
Yep, exactly. I don't understand why optimum never recommends amd GPUs ever. I've seen a couple amd cpus, but even here like you said the 5600x is simply just better than the 12600k, especially considering how terrible the memory controllers are on 12th gen intel.
What mobo you using?
It's almost a year later but the ryzen 5700x3d was $180 the other day and seems to perform shockingly well.
I just built my nephew this exact same setup for his first PC for Christmas. Great hardware market right now.
If you're a smart shopper, you can get a 6900XT for the price of a 3080. And it curb-stomps the poor 3080, while using less power
I’ll take DLSS 3 over 4% more rasterization
@@JADC1111 3080 dont have dlss 3, only 2
@@Godzilla-ej3ql this isn’t true. 3000 series cards have access to DLSS 3 just not frame generation
will it fit in the casse tho cuz i might be going for what you said
Funny how 6900xt costs 1400 usd in india.
This is a sick build. Also I've been loving my zeromouse while playing the finals. Can't wait for the next version.
I have a very similar build to this already. I'd like to add that the NVME can get quite toasty in there. Mine is currently idling at around 65c. I have one of the baby Noctua fans coming to sit on top of the NVME heatsink, as you've shown in a previous vid they are quite effective
being able to compress so much... and tons of good crispy shots, under 10 mins. this was CRAZYYYYY good dude!
true2 im really sad since most are well rehearsed
ive seen better on the particular place, most places, better
i mean the current one
Personal opinion. The ryzen 7600 should be your default cpu. It allows upgrades in the future to at least 3 more confirmed cpu generations with just a bios update. 7600 $200 b650 wifi board $120 and 32gb ddr5 6000 cl32 for $100 which works best with the ryzen infinity fabric. Thats a full platform for $420 that has at least 3 generations of support with a possibility to be extended as amd already extended am5 from 2024+ to 2025+. 12th gen intel is a dead end that doesnt save you that much money
This channel is so good, always excited for a new video,
Love this build.
@@phlips11 you're probably right
thank you so much for sharing Fan Controls! i can’t believe i’ve never heard of it before, i remember using argus monitor years ago but it was dated and only had a free trial
The ryzen 7600 is a better pick. It is equal to a 5800x3D in gaming and compute, use way less power than intel and AM5 will last way longer.
I'm not really a fan of heavy rgb, so this build is absolutely perfect for me. The small form factor will make it easier to fit on my desk, too.
Where can I find your undervolt guide? 🙂
Sweet build! Nice video.

Your finals gameplay looks insane
at micro center, i'm pretty sure they're still running mobo+cpu+ram combos for 400 usd. you can either get a 7700x, 32 gigs of ddr5 ram, and a b650 mobo or a 12900k, 32 gigs of ddr5 ram, and a z790 mobo. you will need to get a more mid range gpu tho, which means that maybe its not the best price to performance combo? anything like a 6700xt should fit in the budget fine
I can't believe you packed a 3080 into a 1k build. Great video as always
Sent this to a mate who was thinking about getting a new computer. Great video.
I would honestly just try anything to stretch to a ryzen 7600.
Improved performance and significantly better upgrade path aside, you would probably save money on the power bill alone.
AMAZING VIDEO! It's so nice having such quality information that I don't have to go find for myself XD. Thank you!
1000$ PC for american
3000$ PC for not american
I've never heard of fan controller! Thanks for sharing that, I'll have to try it out!
poor advice... only 16GB RAM but with RGB?!
Beautiful and very capable build. Well worth the money.
a 3080 for $400 haha not a chance
What?
One strange missing piece from this video at the end is that the NR200 does come with fans. A 120mm and 92mm fan with the base case model. They're not the quietest fans out there, but for getting started on a budget they're fine. For better fans, another user said the Arctic fans can come in multipacks for great savings.
Your videos are top tier. Just did a 5600x with Arc770 16gb for 600$ on Black Friday. Thanks for all you do
Nice content man! Your reviews are never boring and your editing is top notch. New sub!
This good old NR200/NR200p boy, so many possibilities, what a pleasure to build with it
Awesome build. Great Job.
It looks like a great components choice and a very descriptive build process.
Damn, that is a fantastic build, both performance wise and aesthetically 👌 Great job!
NR200/P is my favorite case. I’ve built in 3 of them and each time is an absolute delight.
This has to be the best PC build guide i have ever seen.
I love your videos seriously learned more from you in by watching 3 videos of you then 2 weeks searching on google and reading what peoples say on reddit, i would love a video from you where you explain like you always do in every little detail how to build a pc from scratch from putting cpu to thermal paste to installing every software and overclocking would be so good to see
you should make meta builds or updates to the meta every 3-6 months. Would be really helpful for someone like me and others.
need a $2500 build next :D great content as always!!
How much psu u got?
750w platinum. I'm using a plug in meter to test my case. With nothing overclocked and ram at 4800, I get around 440 watts max after 1hr of tests and games. With ram at 6000 OC and graphics card slightly OC, hit 500 watts, but just. Without water cooling pumps and a larger motherboard it stays very low power. It's also very cool.
This guy is the channel I've watched the longest on UA-cam
I will never not be jealous of the crazy deals you can get on pc parts in the US
Don't worry, there's plenty of things not to be jealous of here.
@@FieryMeltman Good tech prices are pretty much the only thing to be jealous of tbh
Thanks for this awesome and simple video.
Your videos are always well-edited and loaded with interesting information. It's amazing to see a 1440p build around a grand that provides that level of performance and reliability.
