- Welcome to my channel where I share my simple and peaceful cottage lifestyle. At this time last year, I was deciding whether or not I'd want to move into this little cottage! (I was living in a different cottage on the same property.) I'm so glad I decided to make the move!
In this video, I do some crafting with nature, head to the river to find a curtain rod for my bedroom, and share my (gross???) skincare routine.

MY WASHING MACHINE ... people often ask what brand it is, and if I like it! The answer is ... yeeees! It's a Costway portable machine and I LOVE it! It's not nearly as fast and efficient to use as a regular washing machine. But if you can't have one for any reason, this little guy can be a real life saver. Awe! I love Charlie! He’s so chilling! We had a lil dog named Jack, he was the same breed of Charlie, but it reminds of Jack! He was our family member! And I buy bandannas and he always had one! They become like your child! And my kids that were teens , jack was their best bud, and Jacob my son said Jack talks to me by his barks are his eyes!?! I swear Mom I understand him! Jack is missed and he was so loved and brought joy to our family! And I see how you are with Charlie, it just reminds me of our beloved Jack

Go back and get the painting!! It's so pretty and unusual. I had a long-haired white chihuahua for 14 years. He had been abandoned in a house when the owners moved out. He was so sweet and loving and never yapped. I'll forever miss him. He converted a lot of people who claimed they hated chihuahuas. I love the driftwood in the window, especially with the plant wrapped around it.
I feel if you don't get that painting, it will haunt you for a long while. Just think of the beauty of having 2 of the artist's works in your beautiful home.

OH YES go back and get that painting ! I Love what you did with the drift wood. I rescued a 5 lb 13 yr old abused female Chihuahua. We fell in love with each other at first sight. She is 18 yrs old now and I can't imagine life without her. Yes she has become a spoiled and bossy little old lady but she deserves it after all she went through. As I was a cat person until she came to be. So give Charlie a kiss and hug from me. He is precious and so are you !❤

You do you with your skin care, friend. It doesn’t matter what others think - they are not in your skin. Literally. And as for dogs that have been needlessly shamed, one of the sweetest dogs I’ve ever met was a pit bull. She just wanted to be loved.
I'm a Chihuahua parent, she's called Nina who looks identical to Charlie and I'm so glad you're able to show what a great dog breed they really are

Little Charlie is so adorable! I am the Mom of a Chihuahua rescue and she has turned out to be the perfect pet for me! She is so sweet and loving, even with my very young grandchildren. She acts stand-offish with strangers and will hide behind me because she is scared but never acts aggressively. I agree with you, though, they do tend to be bossy so I verbally tell her that Mommy is the boss and she understands. They are very intelligent creatures. I think you should definitely get the painting. Love your videos!

Just finally had to comment to let you know you inspired me to get a chihuahua, especially after watching your videos, which are lovely. I have always had little dogs, my last being a min pin that passed four years ago. She was super special and I was really missing having a dog, now that I’m retired. Wouldn’t you know, my hairdresser was looking for a home for her mother’s chihuahua, 10 years old - kind of a rescue situation. I’ve had Scrappy since August and he is an absolute sweetheart, and has settled in so well. I’m much older than you, but our lifestyle is much the same - piano player, arts and crafts, plants, baking, etc. Thank you for sharing your talents with us…..

Yes, get the painting! I love watching you decorate your little boho cottage. You are my favorite channel! The curtain rod branches with the plant is the perfect solution. And of course what would the Little Boho Cottage be without precious and adorable Charlie. Every time I watch you decorate, I go thrifting the next day! You are a sweetheart and provide so much inspiration.
I love your natural decorations and I have a simple one I’d love to share. It’s cinnamon pine cones:
- For scavenged pine cones, brush off any dirt/debris.
- Bake them for 45 minutes at 200F on a baking sheet lined with foil to melt off sap/resin.
- When they are cooled down, put them in a plastic bag or lidded container, add several drops of
cinnamon essential oil and shake to distribute the oil.
- Let them sit in that container for 2-3 days and then put them into a basket or bowl on display.
- You can repeat the process of adding more oil when the scent starts to fade.
The final step is to have fun doing it!

I love the driftwood on the window! I agree you should go get the painting! One of my rescues is also a Chihuahua. He was in another state and was in a hoarder situation then all the dogs went to a high kill shelter. Not sure how that was supposed to be better. Anyway our state brought a group here. When I got him he was very scared, wanted to bite and you couldn’t move your arm or he’d yelp he was so scared. Obviously he had been abused. I’m happy to say he’s spoiled rotten. He’s glued to his mom and is always where I am. He also loves his dog siblings. Patience and love has changed all of them❤️
Before you even asked about whether or not you should go back & get the painting, I was commenting that you needed to go back & get the painting! I could tell that it spoke to your soul & when a piece of art speaks to us that deeply, we need to have it in our life. It is a beautiful painting & would add even more beauty to your home. ❤

Yes, get the painting. It will complete your room beautifully. I believe it is meant to be. What are the chances that you found the matching girl AND the matching flower painting by the same artists in different locations....impossible seems possible again...doors once shut, now opening. A lovely idea bringing the outdoors inside with the driftwood for your curtains - looks great! The orange garland, I am sure is a beautiful suncatcher in the early mornings and at twilight. I have a chihuahua/Pom mix. She is a handful but she can be so loving and sweet. It’s definitely when she gets scared that she acts out. Her name is Misa and she has my heart ❤

I had the most wonderful chi rescue named Cizzy, one of the smartest dogs I have ever had. And yes! Get the painting and replace the small pieces on your bedroom wall with that one glorious piece. I hope it's still there for you.
We used to have the sweetest little chihuahua. She loved children, other dogs, even our chickens. She was just the sweetest little girl, not an ankle biter at all.
That painting is very big and imo it would not have enough room to flow with your room decor. It would make a perfect headboard above the bed but you already have a tapestry in that space. I realize my opinion is based on who I am (a minimalist)... so there's that. Wait a couple of weeks before purchasing it in any event. A healthier way to shop. The orange slices were gorgeous. Charlie is a delight.

We had 2 chi’s and they were spirited. Our male was a rescue. We were his 3rd family. Once he learned we were his loving pac, he was loving until he passed.

I think you should definitely go back and get that painting. The fact that it's by the same artist whose painting you have and love so much -- that makes it impossible to pass up. And it would definitely go "right here" on that wall in your bedroom where you imagined it.
I understand the discrimination of dog breeds. I have a German shepherd and many are fearful of her. She has never growled it bitten anyone. She is very smart.

If you love the painting and it brings you joy every time you look at it how can you not bring it home? Also caster oil is great as a facial moisturizer. I use it at night. There are lots of benefits from using it. Our pups are such good company. They give so much joy to our lives.

I've also used sticks for curtain rods and love the organic look of something dreamy and drapey having from something created by nature. Your end result is lovely, I also make dried orange slices for garlands and sometimes the oranges studded with cloves to set in bowls of pine cones. I'm thinking yes on the painting. The oranges remind me of little sun's, very cheerful. Thinking I'll do this myself as I have an orange in the fruit bowl right now that if its anything like its partner was its very sour instead of sweet so this would be a great use for it. I vote yes for the painting and to get the right driftwood piece. Loved the colors of the dried branches you put in the pitcher on the table and how you stick up for your favorite breed of dog 🥰
The metal curtain rod works nicely to hold the weight of the plants, and the wood melds nicely with the color of the rod. Definitely go back and get the artwork and those mustard pants. I'm sure you will be able to find a spot to hang the art and the pants will be adorable on you.
