I have parked far away, since when I started to drive! Eons ago. 😆 Not only to walk and get my steps in, but it has saved my various car doors from getting dinged or scratched from other car doors. On the bright side, it goes toward my 150+ minutes of activity each week. It has been one of the easiest ways I have stayed healthy all these years. Thanks for spreading the word! 🥰 Our Nation needs to move more. 💪
So nice that Charlie could play with someone like him. Charlie drinking water is something I’ve never seen before. Hilarious!😂 Thanks for sharing. 🙋🏻♀️
Yes ! A few small decorating touches just seems to rejuvenate us and makes us fall in love again with our homes. Your home looks so peaceful. And your sweet baby is so adorable.
Charlie is one of THE cutest little dogs I have ever seen. His personality is just darling, and you are so lucky to have him in your life! He makes me smile and laugh every time I watch one of your videos. :-) Young lady, you need to get yourself a step stool. Safety first!!!
Dear Kate, this summer I came home to my maternal home I inherited from my mom in the Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 18 years ago. I been fixing for the past years one room at a time, I have taken soooo many decorating boho ideas from your videos and for that I am thankful to you. Can you imagine a boho little house in the Caribbean ❤it looks absolutely beautiful. I also have the most beautiful garden full of plants and flowers and gigantic fruits trees, mango, guava, avocado, banana, guanabana oranges, lemons and many more. I also have three dogs Coco , Toby and Bingo ❤ i been here for one month already and in two weeks i will go back to NYC 😢hoping to be back for xmas. I am hoping to one day retire here 🙏. It has been a very hot hot hot month here but thanksfully I am surrounded by many beautiful beaches and i also have lots of water at home so i sometimes hose down with my four legged friends 😆 Thank you for all the decorations ideas and for showing us that simple living is the way to go. Sending love to you and Charlie from DR 🇩🇴 ❤
Thank you again for another lovely, uplifting video. I fully understand about the ticks and mosquitoes…..have to be extra careful. Charlie is a wonderful little companion. Enjoy these dog days of summer and keep videos coming. Hugs
You are such a tonic love. Yes, it does make you wary once you've had a bad experience with bites. Glad you're on the best side now. I always cover up when I'm gardening, ever since I was bitten by something and developed cellulitis in my lower leg. I ended up on an intravenous drip of antibiotics which luckily overcame the infection. The outcome could have been much worse. As for the park and walk, I do the same. Every little helps I say. Also, Charlie, what a little gem he is. His water dunking trick was so funny. 😆 He has such a knowing face and looks like he's ready to talk at times. 😄🐕 Thanks again for sharing this lovely video. Best wishes from the UK. 🤗🥰
Sweet Charlie. I love your videos. The lace curtains are perfect. You inspired me. I'm going to go thrifting to buy my own:) (I used to use a chair as a ladder and finally bought a little step ladder. Now I wonder how I managed without it. Be safe. Buy a step ladder! You're awesome and beautiful don't fall or hurt yourself.
Your laughter and your smiles make the sun shine bright upon my day after the rain of depression has fallen! Thank you for all you share and most of all for your caring words and love for all!
Hi there. I'd say that the material you placed on the piano is a bed runner. Usually placed near the foot end. But it looks better where you've put it. The lace curtains look lovely also. And it's nice that you donated the other panels back to the shop. Charlie is so adorable. So cute blowing bubbles into the bowl 😂❤ Even with the overflowing of weeds growing, at least you can see what is growing in your garden. As there might be other plants you didn't know were there. It all looks very healthy and green to me so well done. Happy planting 🌺🌸
Please get a stepladder ! The curtains are so pretty but I worried when you stood on a not so sturdy chair to hang them nice to see you getting out in the garden again and I love your wellies ! 🥰
Was Charlie trying to get his reflection in the water bowl? Whatever he was doing it was cute. Great curtain finds. I enjoy parking far away too. Geg the steps in, lol😂 Give yourself some grace Kate about your garden. It was a precarious time this summer with the ticks and all. Do what you can when you safely can do so. Take good care of yourself honey💕🌷
Thank you : ) I think so many of us all had wonky summers ... all over the planet. And haha... there were little circular patterns at the bottom of the bowl that he was trying to get! So funny! Have a great weekend!❤❤
This has certainly been a challenging summer filled with settling and making due. I love how you always find the positives!!! Sometimes we even find something unexpected and fun instead of summer usual😀
Love your polka dot coloured rain boots! Your soil is so rich and your garden so lush and green - still pretty even if they are weeds...Charlie was hilarious drinking his water..poor little guy..guess the bowl was too deep for him? Hahaha..bless him..frustrating for him 💚Glad you got brave and found a way to protect yourself in the garden from the ticks...you are being very wise to be cautious. I sure don't blame you. 💚 On Canada's west coast, we refer to the rain as 'Liquid Sunshine' 🌦🌞🌦 and we 'live life between the raindrops', ☔ just as you did planting your garden between storms. 🌈 Enjoyed your video very much...was looking for it for several days...needed a Little Boho Cottage fix. Thank you! 💚🧡💚
The piano cover and lace drapes are fabulous! Congrats for getting back out there in the garden. You may eventually decide tending a large garden may not be your thing, but have it be YOUR decision, and not one foisted on you by unfortunate circumstances. Good luck!
I think it's genius that you park far away as you can get from a store opening. I'm going to start doing that. That piece of fabric you brought for your piano is absolutely perfect, perfect I would have done the same thing for my keyboard. You have a wonderful life and a wonderful little guy to share it with and you've done so much to your cottages it's just homie and welcoming and wonderful it's just a sacred space of your own. Well done !!!!!
Bug repellant: small bottle, I use an empty essential oil bottle. 10 drops each, lavendar, eucalyptus, and lemon grass oils. Fill with water and shake well before using. I like your contented and quiet vibe. Love the lace, but the next time you're at Walmart or target, or Home Depot, get yourself a step stool, or small ladder. Climbing on chairs is not good. I'm guilty of it. Even at 67. Still be careful. It was very hot here in July and my beds look alot like yours. Catching up now. Morning glories were struggling this year, don't know why. Love your little cottage, you and Charlie seem to be a good team. Shalom and be blessed.
Great idea! I love my 3-step step stool, folds up easily and so sturdy. The last time I climbed a chair and desk to adjust a curtain I fell all the way off and cracked my head on a threshold step. Never again! ☺️
You are SO right! I'm going to remember your wise words next time I'm at Walmart (probably tomorrow, lol!). And thank you for the bug repellant recipe!!!!!!! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!❤❤
So good to see this latest from you Kate. Spring has sprung here in Melbourne Australia. The Gregorian Calendar says its Winter but all one has to do is look out the window and see the blossoms (and the ducks getting frisky) to know that the sap is rising and Winter is gently stepping aside for warmer months to come. I resonated with your garden seemingly in disarray due to your need to take it easy. I have had to surrender to the greater plan when it comes to the nurturing of my garden as I have also been going through a healing journey. I'm being like an inchworm and progress is being made inch by inch. I'm aware of how my conditioning is so results oriented and I am starting to become more gentle with myself and notice the incredible abundance in each moment. However when I saw your beautiful garden in this season I was mesmerised by the vivid green and how sweetly it was enclosed in the trees. What a transformation! My memory of when you first started creating in your new garden is fresh as I have only discovered your channel in the last few months and have watched all your playlists. Love your little enclosure that has produced tomatoes! I was being treated naturopathically for Lyme disease for two years but I have since opted for a deep meditation program to change my brain waves on a regular basis. At the same time, I am attending to the care of the body and the mind. Thank you for your great generous Spirit and for lighting up the world. I always feel so grateful when I watch your vids and the playlists are so calming. Extending Love with you and this awesome community. Anelie. xxx
Always look forward to watch your amazing videos. I feel at peace listening to your calming voice and giggles, Charlie is the cutest little guy and thanks for sharing your life, 🥰👍
Charlie is such a funny little guy🙂 Loved the blueberry treat-so cute and the water drinking or maybe it was water snorting trick🤪 It was hilarious! Lime and tick disease is so scary! Glad you are being careful. The addition of your lace curtains and the piano coverlet are very feminine touches☺️
Charlie is so adorable! I love your thrifted items. Especially the lace curtains. So ironic that I'm watching this particular video tonight because I've been working in my gardens as well as digging out thrifted items that I've had for my bedroom. I've been in this bedroom for a year now and just got my vintage chair in here. I used a large beautiful scarf on my chair. Its so soft. I also added some lace on the arms and a beautiful crocheted throw that my daughter made. I love this old chair and have missed having it in my bedroom. Its a great chair to curl up in and read. I've still got a lot to do but its fall and my favorite time of the year to do big projects and tidy up my gardens For fall 🍂🍁 its time to get bulbs planted for spring. I absolutely love morning glorys. They are my favorites and have been since I was a child. They were the first flowers that I had planted. I was nine. Mine were washed away with our heavy rains this spring. But I'll be planting some next spring for sure. They do make not so pretty items look beautiful.
I definitely hear you about the weeds! My back seized up from putting in my garden at the beginning of the season, and it's not gotten better yet, so I didn't weed either and my garden is a mess! It can be so disheartening after all the work. And we have had so much rain too, and the mosquitoes here (Eastern Ontario) are crazy as well. Your lace curtains are lovely - I'm like you, I love a little lace, and I'm a big thrifter. Oh my goodness, watching Charlie trying to get at whatever he thought he was seeing in the bottom of the water bowl! It cracked me up! He is so cute, and especially you carrying him into the stores in his little bag. I'm glad to see you covering up when you're in the garden and not going barefoot. I know it's annoying, but better to be safe. The Little Boho Cottage is looking so sweet and it's always lovely to see what you are up to, Kate! Hope you and Charlie have a great week!
Boy, Charlie sure gave me a laugh at the water bowl🤣 he is a character! Seeing lightning bugs there reminded me of where I was born. We had them too znd of course I had to try and catch them and see if they light up the jar. Of course we let them go. Of all the bugs in kentucky, thoes are the only ones I miss. Have a great weekend. You have a great friend to give you a garden gift card. Now you will always think of her when you look at your new plants.
I've always heard the lightning bugs are more plentiful down south ... and that's something I'd love to see one day! There aren't too too many here ... but I love seeing the few that float about. And yes!!! I love that I will think of my friend every time I see the plants : ) have a lovely weekend!❤❤
I enjoy watching your videos SO much! You and Little Charlie really make me smile. Tip for mosquitoes- we use Badger Anti-Bug spray. It's made from essential oils and works really well. Isn't it amazing how nature "reclaims" her land so quickly? You're so funny! I was watching you, sitting in front of Lowes, talking about your Home Depot gift card. Hahaha. That's something I would do for sure. Anyway, I hope YOU have an amazing weekend too! And just so you know, the mosquitoes are only biting you because you're so darn sweet! 😊
Awwww .. thank you : ) : ) Haha ... they really do think I'm sweet!!!!! And thank you for that tip! I used to have some of that product and liked it ... I need to pick up some more! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!❤❤
I always park as far as i can to ward off any dents from close parkers. Next time pick up a safety ladder❤. They're worth having even taking up precious space. ❤love to you and Charlie, he is such a funny little guy!!
Happy to see you in the garden. You did the right thing to wear long pants and gloves.....I am sure you will be fine................hugs and blessings...................MINDY
Charlie is a real cutie…. I always park the farthest away to get my steps and just leave the upfront spots for people that need it or want it. Glad you’re back out in your garden take it step-by-step.❤
Thank you for sharing and inspiring so much through sharing your journey of gardening working fixing up your little cottage and letting us watch little Charlie grown up to be such a great campion he is sdorable and you are amazing God Bless ❤
Great job brave Lady Gardener! One day I hope to do some barrel gardening for tomatoes and zucchini and cucumbers. I live in low income apartments now and we aren't allowed to put any potted plants outside. I need to investigate my community. Before Covid there was a community garden. I think it was relocated. I hope it still exists. It would be great to have fresh garden produce with prices so high. Love, Hugs & Sparkles! ❤️🫂✨🌱🌱🌱🥒🍅🥗
I had so many setbacks with my little garden too, but am so happy to just be in there puttering. It is good that you took care of yourself as you needed. That is the thing about gardens...They can be very forgiving. I have decided to just enjoy the time with it.
you are so fortunate that you found those boots, I still am looking for my size....But, I always were long slacks tapped at my ankles...to give me more protection. Stay Safe and Healthy. God Bless....I always LOVE YOUR VIDEOS! THEY MAKE ME SMILE AND GIVE ME ENJOYMENT....THANKS. SHERRY :)
It's always a lovely day when I see a new video with you & Charlie. I'm glad you're feeling better and able to venture into the garden, tho I can imagine how nerve wracking it was after your bout with Lyme's. Looks like you're well covered, tho nothing seems to deter the dang skeeters! I'm like you, they chew me up badly. Surprisingly not this year even tho we're also wet here in the Southern Tier of NYS. But then I'm in a 3rd floor apartment and my garden duties are multiple pots and containers. I love your 'new' lace curtains and piano cover, am always a sucker for vintage linens. And Charlie, of course, so adorable especially playing with his friend and attacking theat dog in his water bowl. 🐾🤪 Here's to more garden time for you and an abundance of morning glories until a (late) hard freeze! Looks like you got some beauties with your friend's gift card, so very thoughtful. Thanks for sharing another lovely video with us.😍
I'm so glad you're getting a break from them attacking you this year!!!!!! There's nothing more enjoyable than being outside and NOT being attacked by mosquitos : ) I hope that you have a wonderful weekend!!!!!!!!!❤❤
Greetings on this Beautiful Summer Day! and now I have the Pleasure of watching your newest Video! Lovely as usual. I even stopped at a Garage Sales today and secured some treasures to resell in my Booth at a Local Co-op. Charlie is really getting better and behaving and being calmer...so good to see. I like the cover for the Piano too, great colors....
So happy you got a good garage sale score! There are so many treasures to be found! And thank you for noticing that he's getting calmer. We're working hard. Although it may just be age that's calming him down now : ) Have a great weekend!❤❤
Hi!, Kate! You are back! I am so excited to see you and, find out, what is on your agenda, today. Never mind about the messy garden. You have had a 'Real Scare', with Ticks and, Lyme Disease. Your confidence, will come back because, you have to be in nature.I am like you! You will get around to getting back on track. Take care of the journey, one day at a time. No more bare feet, outside! Boots, Socks and, pants, are a must when you are surrounded by wooded areas and, wild animals. I wore a mosquito hat to protect my face. I loathe mosquitoes! I too love those night time insects, singing, happily. I love the lace curtains, 👌they are a pretty touch. I knew you would go back for that beautiful runner! Putting it over the piano was a brilliant idea. I did get worried about you standing on a chair, to hang your curtains😣. Buying all four and, giving back was a kind idea. See if you can find a two step ladder. I use mine, for everything. I have MS so, my balance is not the greatest then, I saw you stumble and, catch yourself! I would have landed on my butt🤣! Your relationship, with Charlie, is enviable. The water biwl incident was, hilarious😂I have had Rudy since Feb 4 and, have no clue why he suffers such anxiety and timidity. I have had two other Chi's and, they were such loving companions. I adored them. Rudy prefers to be, on his own and, keeps tabs on me, from afar. If I step out of my place, he cries, like a baby! I think, make up your mind, Rudy! Either you want me or, you don't😀! Oh, well, I get to enjoy your loving relationship, with little Charlie. How much does he weigh and, how old is he. You bought a good amount of plants, for your garden, from Home Depot. Wasn't that a thoughtful gesture, from your friend, giving you the gift card?👍 Well, I enjoyed my visit, with you. I can't wait to See you, again. Be well, stay happy. You are a ray of sunshine for us.❤👋
Aw, little Rudy : ) That's a sweet name! Hopefully with time he'll gain some confidence. Actually, Charlie also likes to be on his own when we're home in the cottage. My other chihuahua would lie down next to me whatever room I was in. Charlie usually goes to the other room for some space. Even when we sit on the sofa watching a movie, he usually doesn't want to be on my lap. Which is very un-chi like of him! He's 2 1/2 and missed being socialized his first year of life because of covid. But I take him out with me as much as possible and he's gaining confidence. But whew ... it's been some work! I didn't think we'd get there. So hopefully it will be the same for Rudy with time. It's amazing how different they all are ...even when the same breed! I hope you guys have a wonderful weekend!❤❤
@@littlebohocottage Kate, Rudy was born, Oct 30, 2021! His Breeder never socialized him and, I bought him, sight unseen, Feb 4, this year because, my Chihuahua, Chico, 8 months when I got him, was 15 years when he passed, Jan 28, this year. I bought Rudy on the rebound, unfortunately. My heart was desperate to find another Chi, to love. Chico, followed me everywhere, did everything with me, grew old with me and, Rudy is, the complete opposite, personality wise. He wants nothing to do with cuddles, petting or, me talking to him. If I leave my place, he carries on like we are best friends, breaking up. I have thought of rehoming him, many times but, what if he eventually wants to come around and, he finds himself having to start over, with someone else. When I look at Charlie's eyes, looking at you, I want Rudy to do the same. Oh, well, I will keep him, for now, because I want to see, when he will let up his guard. Stay well, be happy and, live your best life. Look forward to your next video. It will be such a treat. Take care❤
Aw : ( I can relate to your feelings so much! The first year or so of me owning Charlie, I really didn't think I'd ever ever get to where we are today. My last chi was just so so easy. She loved me instantly. She was calm and just wanted to be wherever I was. Charlie had puppy energy, of course, but also really bad anxiety and what seemed to me adhd. (I think some of that was natural, and perhaps some was a reflection of his anxious owner ... me, lol). I actually had a trainer tell me the only option would be to put him on Ritalin. But I didn't believe that was true even though he would go nuts in any new situation and couldn't calm down. He would just run in circles like a madman, lol. And then in the home, he couldn't calm down enough to connect with me in anyway. I was desperate for cuddles when I got him, but he had zero interest in it. In fact, I actually took a picture of us the first time he looked at my face and I could actually see him genuinely seeing me. It was a split second, and I was so happy I had my phone in hand to grab the photo. I printed it out and displayed it to remind me that it is possible with him! I have no idea if this will help with Rudy, but what I did with Charlie was just start to focus on getting him calm and confident and not worry about the fact that he didn't want to be near me at home. I've been working hard to get him to see me as his pack leader since he's a definite alpha. I read that chis love to be trained to do tricks ... so I've been working on that, too. It's been over a year of effort now, but the work is really paying off. He's learning to be calmer in new situations but while that's going on, he's learning that he can really trust me. And so the cuddles are starting to happen more and more!! Which I'm thinking is coming from the bond that he's formed with me through me leading him. I never had to teach my last dog a single thing, lol. But I'm grateful I hung in there with Charlie. He's just the sweetest little guy. He'll never be like my little Bella was. I had to accept that. But I remember someone once telling me that if our pups didn't ever leave us, we wouldn't have the chance to meet the next pup that comes into our lives ... who we will come to love in a different way. I've had a bed for him in my bedroom next to where I sleep the entire time I've owned him. But he's always chosen to sleep out in the living room in his own spot. It's not far from me, but I just couldn't understand how a chihuahua wouldn't want to be next to his owner at night! Just about month ago, he's started coming in and sleeping in the bedroom now for about half the night : ) He's getting there. I hope that can happen soon with your Rudy. But I know it's such a hard struggle. Sending big big hugs!!!! XOXO
Whatever Charlie was doing with that water is just adorable! If you’re looking for a natural mozzie or tick repellent, I love Nantucket Spider. I have the tick spray and the incense sticks for warding off the mozzies while I eat on my porch.
I’m in love with those night time sounds in your yard! It’s very magical, just like you and Charlie! Give him a little hug from me and my kids we love him! Ps: I hope we get to see more of your treasure hunts! Your part of the country sure has nice ones! ❤
ABSOLUTELY, I park far away too to get my exercise in...HAPPY FRIDAY..What a little sweetheart Charlie and his friend. LOVE the way your cottage is decorated. STTB
Dog spelled backwards; is God...... Charlie is soooooo darn cute. & soooo r u, katie❤❤ ( I sooo like how he listens to u. U, Katie have trained him well. Your love for him is wonderful.... blessings always. 😊
What a wonderful visit I just had with you and Charlie blowing bubbles, hilarious! You know some years are like that in the garden, with having two immune disorders, it's hard to garden so much of the time, but I do it anyway! Because our landscaping is getting older, we are getting a lot of weeds and I still have areas full of them. We finally got some rain last winter, and wow the weeds are crazy bad this year. Lyme disease is a big deal, so you just do what you can, and then do some more when you have another good day. I'm glad to see you wearing your rubber boots, that's the way to do it, and I'm sure that felt horrible the whole time but it did my heart good to see you wearing them. Have a wonderful weekend, enjoyed your video so much today!
Aw man : ( Sorry you've got the crazy bad weeds, too!!!! It's quite the workout getting them out. It's definitely a slow and steady kind of job. And yes : ( I don't like wearing the boots but you wise ladies helped me see how important it is : ) I hope that you have a wonderful weekend!!!!!!!!!!❤❤
so I do so very little in my yard because of the 2 immune problems, and this year I spread a free packet of wild flowers not really expecting much...a 4x5' area and I call it my little meadow! LOL I can't believe how much joy it brings! The littlest thing can bring so much joy! Hang in there sweet lady @@littlebohocottage
Charlie blowing bubbles was so cute and funny! He’s such a good boy to wait for his treat. I adopted a kitten in January and I’m clicker training her. She knows to sit down when I say sit! 🐈⬛
Those pesky weeds! You could possibly try covering them with cardboard to smother them especially if you’re not going to be doing much with the garden this summer. It could be worth some research if it could work for you 😊 we did this then covered it with lawn clippings along with a few rocks here and there to keep the cardboard in place 😊
Lynn here on Hubby's phone mines playing up 😏, Oh I do Love your cottage and little Charlie, it's fabulous, do the ticks come as bad as that every year ? , I'm from England so we don't really have that problem, I love how you've split your garden it makes it a lot more manageable I feel , what was little Charlie after in that bowl ? It was so funny I couldn't stop laughing 😂😂, bless him , he was so fixed on it wasnt he 😂😂😂, I do hope you can enjoy the rest of the summer without anymore problems , just now in Yorkshire in England we've had quite a lot of rain so its stopping us going for Days out and in the garden , its so frustrating 😡, Have a lovely weekend see you in the next video , Take Care Love xx 🤗
Thanks for posting. Charlie is hilarious! Definitely a good buddy to have around. I do like the lace - adds that special something. Here's hoping that you will have a great day and a better weekend! Take care!
Hi sweet lady, my own way of dealing with the weeds in my beds is to use cardboard. So long as it's not plastic coated, I just lay it over the soil, give it a water (at this point compost can be placed on top if preferred) and it does the work for me...and once entirely rotted down it also enriches the soil. It's easy to plant through too😊
So sorry to hear you have Lyme disease. Ticks are scary. I used to wear dresses and shorts while gardening but I learned the hard way! First, a yellow jacket flew up my dress and stung me on my upper thigh. Second, I was crawling on short grass and got red bugs aka chiggers. I thought it was chicken pox but they stopped at my panty line so I figured it out. As for ticks, fire ants and mosquitoes, I started wearing long pants tucked into my socks to work outside and spray below my knees with deet. While trimming bushes, a couple of wasp flew up my sleeve and stung me, so now I wear gloves with sleeves tucked into the gloves or with something to make sure there aren't any gaps for a bee or wasp to get into like cut off knee socks.
Enjoy your videos so much. Wish you could visit us all more often via these delightful videos. Charlie is so funny & fierce. Love watching him. Thank you so much.
I Love watching your videos. They are so relaxing. 😊 Charlie is to cute. 😅 also I am also one who parks way back from shops etc.😅 I can't get over the amount of people ( usually younger generation ) who should be fitter but won't walk bearly any distance to get to their destination 😢😂 or the ones that crack it because you didn't park close enough, but are physically able to do so. 😢 I love the curtains and the cover for your piano. I also buy beautiful material with no intended use & put aside till I finally find a spot or use for it. ;) Herbs are a great choice for your garden. I love herbs. 😊😊🇦🇺🇳🇿
Making headway in your garden!. I feel you! Learned to wear long sleeve cotton shirts that I thrifted for $5.00 the mosquitoes are nightmarish! even when our neighborhood was sprayed and it is so very hot here in Md this weekend! But you know, it is so green and lush because of all of the rain, my garden looks the best in a few years! Anyway, can't wait to see next video. And that adorable Charlie!!! Oh so precious. Hugs
Thank you for sharing your life with me. I look forward to seeing your videos every week. You’re doing a wonderful job and I appreciate your creativity and talent.
Enjoyed the video very much. Got a big chuckle watching Charlie "drinking" that bowl of water. Your garden will be in tip-top shape before you know it. I don't blame you for worrying about those ticks and nasty mosquitoes.
I was led to your channel and wondered why... When you said what you said about the lace curtains I understood... I’ve thrifted and seen things I’d like not understanding that my dream is my own home...And this is why I’m lead to buy them... God bless you as an inspiration for dreams coming true.. ❤
trust me you are not the only one that had a set back, i overdid it in the garden and well, it laid me up for awhile and I also lost the best Window Time....sigh...sigh...sigh. Though today a Friend dropped of some Free Stone Peaches (very small ones, though they taste good) and a Summer Squash, one Zukknini and a few small tomatoes and green beans. All a welcome treat with the cost of food these days. I am SO GRATEFUL.
Oooh, a special food delivery like that is so precious! I'm so glad you got that little treat : ) : ) And I hope that you're feeling better soon!!!!!!!❤❤
Yes, thank you I am feeling better already and everyday it is better and better. Yes the Special Delivery was a surprise for sure, even if my Girlfriend had called. It was left on my porch and I got it when I got home from the store. :)
I was happy to see you posted a video. I am terrible sorry the dam ticks caused you to be fearful in your beloved garden. Here in the southeast, some of the herbs are dying off, and I am still enjoying the lavender which is sort of late for this time of year. . I loved how Charlie enjoyed his little blueberry and so funny with his water bowl . How blessed are those who have pets especially dogs….I’m a dog lover. . Enjoy the rest of august and stay safe and healthy. Kisses to Charlie . ❤️ xo
The mosquitoes have been pretty bad here too in Southern California. I'm covered in bites from working in the garden. Love the lace curtains. So pretty. ❤
My garden, most parts, look (and are) so neglected too. As I got my greenhouse in May, all of my energy went into that, my tomatoes are great, but kale and chard/spinach are being munched by tiny green and greedy 🐛 caterpillars… thank you for this beautiful episode, cheers from a very gray and cool Irish „summer“…
Like you, I garden and the mosquitos are a menace! A few years ago I discovered a lovely little shop in upstate NY-ADKaromatherapy-that creates a great essential oils blend call Bug Zapper. I blend it with a carrier oil to use on my arms, etc. as needed. It’s not perfect but it Helps a lot, plus it smells like herbs. Love your videos. Have a good week!
Oh, and I also changed my garden mulch to Cedar mulch. I know that is a little more expensive than others, but I buy two, three bags a month, and little by little I have transitioned my garden to cedar. certainly helps with the bugs and it’s lighter in color so it helps with-not stepping on yucky things! ☺
Oh yay! You posted a video!! I love your videos! Just take it slow and steady with the garden, keep it fun! It looks like you have very healthy rich soil!🌷❤️🇨🇦
Seeing Charlie blow bubbles in the water bowl....so precious! I had a good belly laugh!
He made me laugh so hard! Both when he did it and when I was putting the video together, lol! Have a lovely weekend : ) : )
So stinkin cute@@littlebohocottage
I have parked far away, since when I started to drive! Eons ago. 😆 Not only to walk and get my steps in, but it has saved my various car doors from getting dinged or scratched from other car doors. On the bright side, it goes toward my 150+ minutes of activity each week. It has been one of the easiest ways I have stayed healthy all these years. Thanks for spreading the word! 🥰 Our Nation needs to move more. 💪
Oooh, that's so true about saving your car, too!! It's amazing how all those extra steps add up!!! Have a great weekend❤❤
Have a great weekend too! 😊
So nice that Charlie could play with someone like him. Charlie drinking water is something I’ve never seen before. Hilarious!😂 Thanks for sharing. 🙋🏻♀️
Haha ... I've never seen him do that either! There were little carvings in the bottom of the bowl that I think he was trying to get to, lol!!!!!🤣🤣
@@littlebohocottage Carvings in the bottom of the bowl? That makes sense. He’s amusing company for you!
Yes ! A few small decorating touches just seems to rejuvenate us and makes us fall in love again with our homes. Your home looks so peaceful. And your sweet baby is so adorable.
Thank you!!!!!!! Sometimes a touch or two transforms things ... at least in our own minds : ) Have a great weekend!❤❤
Charlie's so smart and adorable blowing bubbles; in a bowl of water .. beautiful video love the lace curtains!.💚🌻
Well I have to say I’ve never seen a dog drink water quite like that lol. Love the curtains ❤️
He's such a little ham sometimes, lol!!!! Gave me a good laugh! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!!!❤❤
Charlie is one of THE cutest little dogs I have ever seen. His personality is just darling, and you are so lucky to have him in your life! He makes me smile and laugh every time I watch one of your videos. :-) Young lady, you need to get yourself a step stool. Safety first!!!
Please tell Charlie I said thank you for the biggest belly laugh I've had in ages! Charlie & his bowl did me in. He is adorable. ❤
What a beautiful peaceful little cottage you have.
Long sleeves and a hat with netting to save you from bites lovely lady. Glad to see the boots you need to do this for just awhile. Love from Canada🇨🇦
It’s wonderful to see you well and venturing out into your garden again!!! 😁😆🥰
That's so kind! Thank you : ) : ) Hope you have a wonderful weekend!❤❤
Your laughter and your smiles make the sun shine bright upon my day after the rain of depression has fallen! Thank you for all you share and most of all for your caring words and love for all!
Charlie totally cracks me up! He is such a fierce little guy! 😂
LOL, suuuuuch an alpha!!!!!! ❤❤
Yeah ... it's definitely time for a ladder : ) : ) Thank you!!!!!!!! And I hope you have a wonderful weekend!❤❤
You definitely force us, in the best of ways, to remember how much the small things and victories can help our souls be free. Thanks, again😊.
@margaritaaguilar yes, well said. She does
Was Charlie trying to get his reflection in the water bowl?
I think so many have had a challenging summer this year. We do our best : ) : ) Thank you for watching and I hope you have a lovely weekend!❤❤
I love Charlie, he’s so cute. Your garden is so green! This is your first year and you have produce!
I was so happily surprised to find all those goodies back there : ) Have a lovely weekend!❤❤
Charlie enjoying his blueberry...how sweet!
Thank you! 💚🧡💚
I jumped out of my skin when that chair slid out from under you!!! 😂 I thought Charlie was going to drown himself in that water bowl. 🤣🤣🤣
LOL, I thought I was going down for sure, lol! And I'm so glad Charlie could give us all a good chuckle : ) Have a great weekend!!❤❤
The piano cover and lace drapes are fabulous! Congrats for getting back out there in the garden. You may eventually decide tending a large garden may not be your thing, but have it be YOUR decision, and not one foisted on you by unfortunate circumstances. Good luck!
Thank you!!!!! I guess time will tell : ) I hope you have a wonderful weekend!❤❤
Ouch!!! Not very good with height anymore, but it doesn't keep me on the ground. Have a blessed day. 🙃@@DreamingCatStudio 😉😉🙃
I feel at peace listening to your calming voice and giggles, Charlie is the cutest little guy and thanks for sharing your life, 🥰👍
Thank you so much for those kind words! I'm so glad you enjoy the videos : ) And I hope you have a fabulous weekend!❤❤
Charlie is adorable. Perhaps you could get a step ladder. Lol.lo e your channel you ate such a delightful person
Thank you : ) And yes ... I really do need to! Have a wonderful weekend!❤❤
Oh Charlie, you had me roaring with laughter with the water bowl. I love the lace panels. Lovely video. 🌸💕🌸🐶
I've still got a lot to do but its fall and my favorite time of the year to do big projects and tidy up my gardens
For fall 🍂🍁 its time to get bulbs planted for spring. I absolutely love morning glorys. They are my favorites and have been since I was a child. They were the first flowers that I had planted. I was nine. Mine were washed away with our heavy rains this spring. But I'll be planting some next spring for sure. They do make not so pretty items look beautiful.
Charlie blowing bubbles in his water bowl was so funny that I actually laughed out loud.
Aw yay!!!!! We all need some good laughs these days : ) : ) Have a great weekend!❤❤
Such a beautiful video. Thank you for sharing. Hugs for Charlie too!!!
Thank yo so much! Hugs back to you!!!!!❤❤
I definitely hear you about the weeds!
Keep your sweet videos coming! I love your style.
Maybe you’d like to put a step ladder on your thrift shop hunts. We don’t want you to fall. 😊
Charlie drinking out of that bowl was sweet…….❤❤❤😂
Crazy baby : ) Have a wonderful weekend!❤❤
Thanks for the peaceful day in your life❤️ your baby is so adorable and the water incident was hilarious!
I always park as far as i can to ward off any dents from close parkers. Next time pick up a safety ladder❤. They're worth having even taking up precious space. ❤love to you and Charlie, he is such a funny little guy!!
Love your new curtains!!!!💙💙And sewing Charlie reclining in his carrier, eating his blueberry and snuffling his water made❤my❤day!!!!!!🥰
Happy to see you in the garden. You did the right thing to wear long pants and gloves.....I am sure you will be fine................hugs and blessings...................MINDY
Thank you!!!! Hope you have a lovely weekend!❤❤
Thank you for watching : ) And yes ... he's becoming such an amazing little companion! I'm so happy others get to see that : )Have a great weekend!❤❤
LOL....Parking as far away as possible....you crack me up as I do that all the time.
Gotta get those steps in!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have a great weekend!❤❤
Yes, I do the parking thing too! 🤣
Charlie was so funny with his water ❤
you are so fortunate that you found those boots, I still am looking for my size....But, I always were long slacks tapped at my ankles...to give me more protection. Stay Safe and Healthy. God Bless....I always LOVE YOUR VIDEOS! THEY MAKE ME SMILE AND GIVE ME ENJOYMENT....THANKS. SHERRY :)
So glad you enjoyed the video! I found them at Tractor Supply!!! And they were pretty inexpensive too!❤❤
@@littlebohocottage Oh thanks I would have never thought about them for these...:)
I love watching your videos it makes me happy! Charlie blowing bubbles in the water bowl was so funny 🤣
Wasn't that a thoughtful gesture, from your friend, giving you the gift card?👍
Well, I enjoyed my visit, with you.
XOXO
Charlie is so precious and he really loves his buddy
This video was incredibly beautiful! I needed this today! Thank you for sharing!
❤🇨🇦
STTB
Thank you!!!!! And we gotta get those steps in!!!!!! Have a wonderful weekend!❤❤
Dog spelled backwards; is God...... Charlie is soooooo darn cute. & soooo r u, katie❤❤ ( I sooo like how he listens to u. U, Katie have trained him well. Your love for him is wonderful.... blessings always. 😊
I really enjoy your videos! I looking at them just before bed time.
Hang in there sweet lady

Charlie blowing bubbles was so cute and funny! He’s such a good boy to wait for his treat. I adopted a kitten in January and I’m clicker training her. She knows to sit down when I say sit! 🐈⬛
Glad to see you back out there! 👍👏😊
Thank you!!!!!!!!! Have a wonderful weekend!❤❤
Take care!
Thank you so much for watching! I hope that you have a wonderful weekend!❤❤
Hugs
Here in Denmark july has been the rainiest july ever on record. Here's 🤞hoping august is going to be better🙂
Hopefully it will be like April showers bringing May flowers??? But in August?? ❤❤
Lovely video, your dog is so cute. 👍🥰
Thank you!!!!! : ) ❤❤
Two tips for you: plant marigolds around to help keep mosquitoes away. Also, regularly eat raw onions. The mosquitoes don't like that aura.
Dont be disheartened with ur garden u needed to take care of urself! It still looks beautiful!❤
Thank you! And I'm so glad that you enjoyed the video!!!!!!! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!❤❤
I was led to your channel and wondered why... When you said what you said about the lace curtains I understood... I’ve thrifted and seen things I’d like not understanding that my dream is my own home...And this is why I’m lead to buy them... God bless you as an inspiration for dreams coming true.. ❤
Hi, love your boho cottage. Pls make more decorating videos and cottage updates. Your home is so cozy and welcoming.
trust me you are not the only one that had a set back, i overdid it in the garden and well, it laid me up for awhile and I also lost the best Window Time....sigh...sigh...sigh.

Your garden is adorable and i love fire flies 🌻🌹🏵 love is the key, always 💞
Loved watching Charlie with the blueberry & when u went shopping at HD
I was happy to see you posted a video. I am terrible sorry the dam ticks caused you to be fearful in your beloved garden. Here in the southeast, some of the herbs are dying off, and I am still enjoying the lavender which is sort of late for this time of year. . I loved how Charlie enjoyed his little blueberry and so funny with his water bowl . How blessed are those who have pets especially dogs….I’m a dog lover. . Enjoy the rest of august and stay safe and healthy. Kisses to Charlie . ❤️ xo
I'm so glad you've still got lavender to enjoy! Best smell EVER! Hope you have a lovely weekend!❤❤
I walk and hour a day at least, every day. So, I get decent amount of exercise in. Lovely thrift finds.
Your garden is looking beautiful love your beautiful flowers, a wonderfully put together the
I have some lace curtains too. I just love the way they look!
They're just so pretty!!!!! Have a great weekend!❤❤
The mosquitoes have been pretty bad here too in Southern California. I'm covered in bites from working in the garden.
Love the lace curtains. So pretty. ❤
Hello thank you for beutiful videos. I love your cottage and garden.
Thanks for sharing have a wonderful weekend
Thank you! You too!!!!❤❤
Charlie ❤ is so adorable thank you for sharing Laura
Love Charlie!! Glad you got back out in the garden again.
Thank you! Me, too!❤❤ Have a great weekend!❤❤
I wish I had those nighT time sounds. They are so soothing❤
I’m a new subscriber and am loving watching your videos, so calming and inspiring. And of course Charlie is the cutest! ❤
Thank you!!!!!!!! I'm glad you enjoy the videos! And thank you for the wise advice : ) Have a great weekend!❤❤
