I am really enjoying the direction that this channel has taken. It went from a "cool pilot showcase" to a truly informational channel. Don't get me wrong, having an occasional flight video for the sake or showing a cool flight is cool, and even a decent vlog can be appropriate. But people like information, and they come to youtube to find information... not just to see cool guys do cool things, especially when the "cool stuff" gets repetitious. Anyway, I *REALLY* enjoy Shawn's builds coupled with Bubby's abilities and fresh attitude. Great job!
People love to complain, but other then them and flite test I can't think of many other channels that put out this kind of content regularly. It'll be nice when covid is over and they can do some travelling and get more guests back on though.
Bubby in the interviewer seat for the first half--he's really getting fully integrated into the team. I had no idea his rates were that low, though! You'd never believe it from his flight videos, because there's such a sense of constant motion and interaction with the environment.
@@LetsFlyRC it’s not a problem at all brother. Your creations definitely keep things interesting as well as spark creativity in others. I personally appreciate it.
Nope. It shot to the moon on arming with 3 missing, so it'll do the same with 4 missing. Even if it is one on each arm... If they turn off the half-broken "air mode" (or use pretty much any other flight control firmware) then maybe it will work...
@@troyleigers8433 yes because when you’re back for motors go out, it goes into butterfly rescue mode so when it failsafes for butterflies swooping to take the load of the four non-running motors. Floats like a butterfly and like a bee. Speedybee 😂

After building a bunch of these X8 config drones i have found they work better as a 8 motor quadcopter ( each pair of motors rotating the same direction run by one signal wire) , done like this they will fly with only 4 props.

It's cool tho - terminator version ha. And btw, I actually really love that HGLRC Zeus FC. Great board. I have at least 3. Oh 2, I landed one in wet grass. Poof. But that's an excellent FC, highly recommended. Keep on doing what your doin. Good stuff.
hello! please, tell me what a controller do you use and esc's? I want to build the same, but SpeedyBee F405V3 has only 6pins for esc#2 (GND, M5-M8, TEL). what wiring do you do on your quad? thanx, cool video!
Having double the motors means having to use roughly only 60% of the power they normally would. Also keeping the props turning slower and able to be banged up without breaking. Many pros, major con is the extra weight and drag. The bottom props can stay stuck in the grass until the top props pulls the quad up. Amazing!
Nah. Landing is easy: Fly it near the ground and just disarm. Taking off is the problem. However you do it, you'll be doing some damage to the props unless you take off from a wooden block or something that holds it in the centre without touching the props... At that point it's easier to just put landing gear on it.
Puhleese share the 7 inch tune you transferred to make it perform significantly smoother! I know all tunes arent the same but it has been a beast to get my 7 inch (and aggressive 6 inch) locked in. maybe a larger drone tuning tutorial? And there are end nuts manufactured called "cap nuts" as well. But they would have to be milled EXACT to not have vibration.
