Man I remember seeing early homebrew quadcopters, people using little atmega boards as flight computers, it's crazy how far this stuff has come. I remember the first time I saw someone put a cheap Chinese wireless "security" camera on a RC aircraft, but that wasn't a drone, it was a Ugly Stick.
I've got one and flown it at a race. The flight performance is amazing, but the camera is almost unusable in some situations. The resolution isn't great and it's exposure adjusts slowly which means that seeing led gates at speed can be almost impossible. It's still probably worth it even if you swap out the camera, but I believe newbeedrones osd works differently and you might not have osd if you change the camera. Not a major issue if you're racing with a set amount of laps, but something to be aware of.

@ the tiny magnet wires are very fragile. Coating the tiny soldering joints at the bottom of the board with electrical liquid tape or even glue (B700) will protect the joint from coming undone. Just as a pro caution! 😎👍🏼
It's a cool quad and all, however, not being able to finish a race (unless 3 lap max) makes it a no-go for me.. You and stickman have all the fun...👍🏻🍻👊🏻
