- Here it is, finally completed... The documentary about the Rolling Stones Mobile Studio, perhaps the greatest workhouse of '70s rock!
Also: DO give me feedback on the mic; I tried something new and I’m not sure if I like it so I’ll probably go back to my reliable Shure mic.
ALSO: let me know what you think for the “cold open;” instead of going right to the GH banner I decided to do a teaser at the beginning. I was pretty proud of myself for that 😂 - Розваги
I see this truck a couple of times a week when I pass in front of the National Music Centre in Calgary. It's their premier attraction and is displayed behind a large window overlooking the street.
Incredible story of a piece of music history. Thank you.
Nice job explaining this. Did not know that it was Ian that thought it up and ran with the project. nice.
The Rolling Truck Stones Thing. Awesome. An idea is Genius when the thing happens and everyone says "I wonder why nobody else thought of it before." This is one of 'em.
This was a cool feature. I mean i m sure most people know they owned the truck...but you did a great job telling the history showing pictures and that impressive list of tracks recorded with it
"The Rolling Truck Stones Thing"
As soon as I read the caption, I thought of Smoke on the Water. "The Rolling Truck Stones Thing Just Outside".

The Mobile Unit Recorded Machine Head. Smoke On The Water mentions the Rolling Stones Mobile Uniit.
Great episode love the show
Thank you sir!
nice job
Appreciate it!!
National Music Centre still uses it
The live at Leeds quote is wrong it was recorded on pye mobile studio
Brown Sugar was recorded at Muscle Shoals, not the mobile unit.
You are exactly right about that they recorded brown sugar, wild horses and another song in muscle shoals and wanted to record more there but were banned from America for a while and never got back to record there again
The Stones were never banned from the US. Japan and France didn’t allow them in in 1973.
Ok thanks for correcting that
@@michaelmoenning6366 I think the third song was "You Gotta Move."
@@willman1711 I think you are right, I would have to go back and watch the documentary on muscle shoals which is not a bad idea probably do that tonight
Bought by Edward Luke loho studios I imported the mobile from England
Smoke on the Water more notable than Led Zeppelin 4? Lol, yeah okay.
Maybe not more notable but better😎
@@flyingburritobro68 please don't compare a pop song to anything the mighty Zep did. 😂
