      Not sure if you guys gives a damn but if you're stoned like me during the covid times then you can stream all the latest movies on InstaFlixxer. Have been streaming with my brother for the last few weeks :)

    They remind me of my Meindl Jorasse climbing boots. Not sure if the same applies in Canada but in Europe if you have problems with your meindl boots they can do a number of repairs including re-soleing, eyelet replacement, lining & hem repair, rand replacement etc. My brother has size 15.5/16 US feet and his special order Meindl Islands have lasted years.

    I've never heard of those boots once in years I've been climbing trees. I guess I will have to look into them. Arbpro Evo 2s are like a hiking boot for tree climbing and are my favorite by far. You might want to think about those for your next boot.

      yeah these things are new to market - the V2 of the Airstream. I am also new to the game and went looking for the "latest greatest" boot I could find. I did a ton of research and ended up with these. I know more now, and have an updated opinion and a new idea of what to look for in an Arborist boot. I will post a follow up review soon. Cheers.

    After some time with them, how do you feel about the insole? I’m having trouble breaking mine in and thinking about replacing the insoles with superfeet

    • @chainsawmilling
      @chainsawmilling  2 роки тому +1

      The insole hasn't crossed my mind. This boot is not overly impressive. It comfortable and gets the job done for me - that's about all I have to say. It's wearing well... they look good. Soft around the ankle i'd say. Try a high tech insole for sure

    Thankfully NOT a Vibram sole though. Your place looks heavenly Sir

    OMG, the scenery at your place is just awesome. Thanks for the boot review. I am considering the same after seeing a video on UA-cam (GP outdoor). I was wondering if after a year you are still satisfied or if you have changed your mind and found something better. It's a big chunk of money but worth saving toes. thanks

      the boots have held up well after more than a year. I would recommend them, however there are other amazing options out there. I went with these as it seemed like they were the best and most expensive option I could find, banking on them being the best for that reason.

      @@andrew_forin Thank you very much for the feedback. I'm in the Ottawa, Ontario area and cannot find a store that carries them. Not much choice around here so will probably have to order online. cheers

    Would you say they are worth the money or would you rather go with the Meindl Airstream generation 1 that a bit cheaper. It’s easier to find information about that boot than this one and the reviews is really good also, with makes me thinking about buying the first generation instead.
    How would you say they suit for hiking?
    Right now I’m wearing my second pair of Husqvarna Technical Boots and they are starting to give up now.
    Have a good one!

      I would go Airstream 1. I wouldn’t recommend for hiking. This is an awesome comfortable boot but the guys who I meet wearing the airstream 1 have nothing but good to say. This one might be a bit soft

    Instead of bringing the lace behind and over the hook reverse that by going over then down and across for better fit.

      They still look good. Soft around the ankle, the inner liner above the heel is starting to clump up from the friction of sliding my foot in, but that happens to me on other boots. Overall pretty good, also pretty damn expensive. I would try another boot on my next purchase, i'm not married to them.
