WOW you are approaching 100K subs! Once you get to 100K the channel will explode and maybe you can make YT your full-time job! Love your channel and how you still pay homage to your Grandmother. She must have been a lovely lady. You are a classy lady yourself.

It will be interesting to see if your yew hedge attracts different birds (some prefer dense shrubbery to nest in.) When we planted evergreens, cardinals became a common sight. BTW, you often talk about your grandma & her garden. Do you have any photos to share? It would be lovely to have some visuals connecting to your garden, to see how you're carried forward with her in mind (perhaps even a book across generations). It's said the garden dies with the gardener. Not so in your case. It would be lovely to stroll through your gardens with your grandmother's in mind. But then, your viewers do that already, don't they? 😊

    I
Danielle, I love how you are always looking forward, planning and then implementing the plan to improve and expand your gardens. I stay so stuck much of the time and it’s very frustrating. With your visionary videos, I can start to imagine how I can use some of your ideas in my own garden. I recently had to take out a 25 year old holly hedge and lost so much privacy. Now I know what I can plant to replace them - yew, of course! 💚

First time commenting on your channel. I love your style of gardening. That hedging will be beautiful once it fills in. I love yews as you can get so many varieties for different applications, and the nepeta will be a nice band of blue! In my mind, there is nothing like an English Cottage garden and yours will be spectacular. Greetings from Ottawa, Canada, zone 5.

Wow! Looks so great! I just planted 5 more catmint plants last night with the same intent on creating cohesion! I also garden in the most comfortable/casual gear I can find (sorry to my neighbors, lol). It may or may not match or be flattering. 🙈 I, too, work in my grandma's garden & will need to take her old yew out because it's gotten too large for the space. I love it & maybe I will try to add the more narrow PW variety somewhere in its honor. I will look forward to updates!

Love what you are doing with your garden.
It's coincidental, but ive just planted 6 small cat mint rooted cuttings along the border of my fruit/dahlia garden to keep some repetition too.
You can't go wrong with it and the colour is so vibrant and uplifting.😊
The yews will be a great focal backdrop to your driveway garden.
I wonder what the growth (per season) is on this particular yew?

I just learned about that variety of yew.
I wonder if it takes to topiary shaping.
I have in mind an arborvitae and shaping it with a ball on the bottom (or cube) and the top shaped as a 4-sided spear. My very experienced gardener GF asked why I didn't choose a yew for my topiary. So, that got me thinking. I'm planting this for my BIL who loved Sci-Fi and chess and Stonehenge. And adjacent to it I'll plant a hedge of one of the smooth hydrangeas (I can't
decide which I like best, garnet or spirit II). I have several gardens for family members. I'm renovating my grandmother's garden.
Nepeta grows so well in my garden. So many varieties to choose from. 😱
