Oh thank you very much for taking us with you. My favorite space was the curved benches in the woodland area. It was all so beautiful. Happy gardening happy life.
In the Father’s Garden, those plants look like epimediums otherwise also known as bishops hat or barrenwort. I love them because the dainty flowers look like fairies.
Thank you for your leisurely walking pace, which allows we viewers to take it all in. Can’t tell you how many garden “tours” I’ve seen where there’s barely time to focus the eyes before the camera speeds off to another view. Great garden tour, thanks!
Japanese painted fern. In the father’s garden, the plant is epimedium or bishop’s cap. There are many varieties with flowers ranging from white to pink to to yellow. Love these tours. So inspirational! Thanks.
Wow. That garden is just amazing. So much planning for each garden area. So many unique plants, shrubs, trees and beautiful walk ways. That must require a huge maintenance crew.
WOW, I grew up in Bucks County and I’m ashamed to say never knew that garden existed. Thanks to your magnificent tour, it’s on my list to visit in person. Hopefully when peonies and roses are in bloom! Really enjoy all of your videos.
You can mix live moss with yogurt in a blender and then apply to edges with a paint brush. In a couple of days, the moss will begin to grow. The pavers will look like they have been there for years.
Thank you so much for making this video. I absolutely love the tours that you do because you hold the camera properly and do not make any of us dizzy lol. This truly was a pleasure my new friend. I was going to say Japanese painted ferns. fabulous inspiration.❤❤❤❤
I loved how you invited us to walk and talk with you, it felt so intimate. This is truly a garden that beckons you to walk and explore, wonderfully peaceful. Thanks Danielle, you always take us on the best tours, definitely want to visit in person now.
First, thank you for respecting the privacy of the private residence. Second, thank you for your enthusiasm. Your appreciation of the repetition, which I believe helps calm our minds, giving us the opportunity to to really appreciate the plants. All of the interesting twists and turns, accentuated by repeating plants, textures and colors. Thank you for helping me realize that I can create this feel with the very plants that I have available to propagate or purchase. It is so easy to get caught up in the fancy new thing, or the hard to grow varieties, but I can choose to be creative and purposeful with what I have available.🙏💗
What a lovely tour you have given us! Beautifully recorded and so inspiring! My head is filled with ideas, even more so after seeing these beckoning garden paths. . .Thank you!
Thank you Danielle - this tour was a jaw dropper - you do such a great job with your camera work and knowledgable narration. I am going to watch it again it was spectacular!
At 8:48, is an epimedium, possibly ‘Lilafee’. I have two fringe trees, one is about 20-25 years old and the other one is about 7 yo. Mine are in full bloom and when I open my back door, I’m greeted with the most wonderful fragrance! The oldest one is multi trunked and the younger one is a single but has branching quite low. I highly encourage you to get one - you won’t regret it! The dove tree is lovely but beware, they drop a lot of mess. My city planted them as street trees downtown and that was quite an unfortunate decision. Thank you for sharing the beauty of this garden along with your enthusiasm. I can’t decide which was my favorite area but the woodland garden really spoke to me while the green walk had me gasping at all the beautiful plants along the way.
Hi Danielle, I would have been in my glory walking around the different paths admiring all those heavenly gardens! what a special treat you shared with us today. Thank you so much. I am sure you went home dreaming about everything you saw. You did a fantastic job filming. The wisteria arches really drew me in and that dove tree was amazing!!! and so are you for all that you do to keep us interested and excited about gardening. It is very much appreciated. 😍
I'm not a huge fan of formal gardens but this is absolutely gorgeous! Walking through all the woody area and then turning into the formal area really works! I'm loving the shady plants and flowers. Most of my garden is in shade as we live in a very woodsy area.
Absolutely stunning! It's a fantastic talent to know how to use repetition to it's full advantage, something I am striving for in my garden, this was a wonderful reminder of that. This was incredibly inspiring!
Thank you for the tour - what a lovely space!! The ferns with the silvery/burgundy foliage are Japanese Painted Ferns. The lovely shade plant with heart-like leaves is an epimedium. They are a perennial hardy to our zone (6B) and they get tiny orchid like flowers - just stunning! The rose arbor in the middle island reminds me of Hummingbird Way!
I adore the way the arborvitae/columnar evergreens draws you down that green path from the beginning. It's like they're arrows pointing the way! The spring breeze & dappled light make it lushly inviting! The plantings are superb, with just enough of a wild side to feel utterly natural, but thoughtfully planted & manicured to feel cohesive. And then it opens up to the house-side formal gardens! The woods walk shows the importance of mature trees giving structure, & a river walk too? Stunning!
That garden is SO Beautiful!!! Loved it! Maybe you can go back when the peonies and roses are in bloom? I have a shade garden and the fern with the white or gray on the leaves is a Japanese Painted fern and the other shade plant is epimediums. Love love this tour!
A beautiful setting for a naturalistic magnificent garden! Thanks for taking us with your walk. Learned useful principles to apply in a much smaller garden.
Lovely garden tour; really appreciate your respect for the property and the private residence. As you noted, mass plantings always have an impressive impact!
So inspirational, thanks for taking us along! The fringe tree is my favorite native blooming tree. I have several in my garden and the scent is heavenly when the cloud like white blooms are in their full glory. Then afterward it forms purple, grape like fruit that the birds love, ours bloomed a full month earlier this year, usually in our 7b zone they bloom at the end of May.
That was gorgeous! Thank you for a little escape in the middle of the day. I bet it was hard to walk that slow for so long keeping the camera steady but we appreciate it!
Looked like Japanese painted fern and then epimediums. Love this garden! I have mostly shade and rarely see this diversity and amount of shade areas. It's a much more subtle approach with the shades of green and white. 💚🤍💚
Beautiful garden Danielle nice to take a walk with you, they have created a number of garden rooms. It’s great to see gardens in different countries and a lot of the plants we have here in Australia. This garden reminds me of Autumn (fall) gardens here in our Macedon Ranges in Melbourne Victoria.
Lovely walk, Danielle! Your enthusiasm is contagious. I’ve had an idea to define a garden room on our acreage and this has given me the push to get planning it!
Fern looks like a Japanese painted fern to me. Epimedium is the name of the next plant you asked about. They are very tough but pretty and delicate in appearance.
Beautiful formal garden design, perfectly maintained. (I planted a fringe tree in my front yard last year but it’s still tiny. Looking nice and healthy this spring though. I like using the lesser known natives. I hope mine grows to look as good as the one at the garden.)
This tour was so beneficial for me as I have a large backyard that’s a blank slate. Thank you for sharing! The ferns at the beginning of the video looked like Ghost Ferns.
Today I am putting the last of my winter sown seedlings in the ground. I have foxglove, forget me not, parsley (planted for the swallowtails), godetia, Gilda globe flower, painted daisy and others.
Wow! What an amazing place! Thank you for the tour. I have a very small area, but I am thinking of adding more arbors and creating little “rooms” after seeing this. Just beautiful.
❤❤❤ Bliss. In a few more weeks the garden will be awash with colour from roses, peonies and flowering perennials.
A gardeners dream… speechless
I live 30 min away and never knew it existed ! thank you for showing us, will be visiting
We can't wait to have you visit! We reopen April 1!

Hi Danielle, such a lovely tour; thank you for taking us along! I think the plant at 903 is Epimedium. I love their heart shaped leaves.
WOW!!
Love the tranquility of this garden! your slow walk give us time to inhale the beauty of the paintings. Sometimes less is more!
Loved this LUSH garden tour. Beautiful, thank you for showing us.

Wow thanks for sharing!! I’ll be saving this garden tour & rewatching many times!
WOW Thank You so much
Thanks for the beautiful tour! Yes, I also have 3 large areas of Painted Fern and they are such a gorgeous color as they emerge in the spring.
The plant you asked about is Epimedium. I have some in my garden but would love more. The tiny flowers look a lot like orchid blooms.

Great tour ty! Those white peacock statues were beautiful. I usually don't like statues, but those I would so have.

Was so excited to hear you mention Hortulus! I live right down the road from it and they have a cute little shop and place to have coffee now.
I hope you'll go back when all the summer bloomers are at their best. Such a gorgeous garden.
Yes! Please do! This was so relaxing and inspiring! 😊
I so appreciate you taking us along to visit public gardens that are in your part of the world!

Peonies and roses have lots of buds. It’s beautiful but I can imagine even more glorious a week or so later.
I was going to say the same thing. I have a lot of shade and depend on epimediums for some of the toughest spots.
Thank you for this lovely tour.
wow! thank you for the incredible tour

Can’t wait to see this! But we just left up their from seeing Chanticleer and Longwood. Now we will need to go back! 😊
Japanese Painted Fern at 4:00. I love that variety and have it everywhere in my garden. Love the leisurely way you took us through with you!
Awesome tour. Loved all the shades of green and textures.

Awesome gardens! Gave me a lot of ideas!
That door in the walled garden under the wisteria 🥰
🤩 Fantastic!!! Yes, too many inspiring ideas - my favorite is the beautiful airy metal crescent edging in the father’s garden!
Excellent tour. Thank you
Tracking was off when I watched this video, but it is a spectacular garden. Thanks for the tour!
