Thank you Isela! That is very nice feedback. Although I love going to gardens of all types, I too appreciate seeing other urban residential gardens. We love sharing our garden and I hope to do a spring garden tour...stay tuned!

Hi Marilyn, I'll check it out. I learned about this great Dalmation Peach Foxglove on Garden Answer. It blooms in the first year from seed. Absolutely stunning and long-blooming. It's so nice that you'd watch the video twice! 🌝🌹🌿
Your UA-cam channel is one of my favorites of all time. I love every video you put out. Thank you for doing such a detailed and thorough job. I’m going through a backyard redo too and this was so helpful.
Wow, thank you! I am so pleased to hear that you are enjoying my channel! And, that you found this last video helpful. All the best with your back yard redo!
So excited to see you post a new video! This one is a masterclass in garden design and fundamentals. I so appreciate you sharing how your garden took time to evolve and the ways you adapted to the changes over time. So many wonderful lessons in this video! Your garden theme was executed beautifully. You continue to inspire me and I look forward to seeing more. Thanks, Rosanne! 🙏🪴💚
Thank you! That is very generous of you to say. Going through all of our old garden files for pictures through the years was a real trip down memory lane. I also enjoyed seeing the progression, laid out all at once.Glad you appreciated it! Thanks for watching and commenting. 😊🌷🌻
Roseanne you have done a beautiful job on year round interest. I don't comment much but love watching your channel for ideas. Winter interest has always been difficult for me.
Roseanne, I was fortunate to lead tours through your garden a few years ago and it was so soothing to visit it again in this video. I love your use of shrubs and smaller trees and it is always reassuring to see how a garden can go from ideas and wish lists to reality, often looking so lovely in just a few years. Can’t wait until our zone 4 thaws and we can both dig in again. Please post more content soon. I always learn some tidbit from you and just love looking at your garden.
Thank you Stephanie! It's so great that you found our garden again! It must be the Arb Auxiliary Tour to which you are referring? With Diane S.? Sorry I'm not better at names. Your feedback on our garden's evolution is quite generous; I'm so glad that you appreciate the never-ending journey 🌹. Because today was sunny with fresh snow, I was in the back yard filming this afternoon. You never know when you'll want nice winter-interest film footage. The trees and shrubs are the stars in the winter ❄️🌲. Thanks for commenting and reminding me of our connection 🌞.
I absolutely adore your yard and love your videos! My style is very similar to yours, however my gardens are much, much younger. Seeing your mature landscape gives me wonderful ideas and keeps me wanting to learn more and more. I'm also obsessed with natural stone, so the work your husband has done makes me heart sing. I'm an avid gardener, having dabbled in planting my own shrubs and such since the mid 90's around the couple of homes we lived in, moving on to creating container displays with flowers in the early 2000's (raising 4 busy children didn't leave me much time outside of that) and finally since 2015 after we built our home to grow old in and became empty nesters, I have poured my heart and soul into creating a paradise in our yard. It's because of others like you, that I've gained so much inspiration along the way. Thank you for sharing your lovely gardens with all of us!
Thank you Holly! I'm so glad you are enjoying my channel - especially that my videos have helped to inspire you in your gardening journey 😊. It sounds like you have such a great opportunity to create your own special paradise. How exciting! I'm glad to have been a part of it 🌿. I think the act of gardening is just so good for the soul, and the body. I think that gardens themselves are like works of art. Have fun with yours! 🌹🌼🌲
Such a beautiful space Rosanne, you have done a wonderful job of creating an enchanting garden space! Love that crab apple, it's so beautiful. Stunning!
You have created a truly enchanting garden, and how kind to share your process with us. Thank you for the impressive amount of work that went into making this video (a good reminder to document my own progress in the garden).
Thank you! It was a good winter project to pull all those old photos together - and I'm glad you appreciate it 🌝. Do take lots of pictures of your own garden; you won't regret having the history!
Absolutely stunning. I love that you can stroll through the garden and explore it. I also appreciate you talking about how plants came and went, and things evolved over the year. That’s the beauty of gardening, it’s never “done”.
I've been obsessively watching gardening videos as we have a new summer place that is a blank slate as far at the garden goes. I have to say I love your aesthetic and hope to do something similar in my garden. Thank you for sharing, your garden has given me so many ideas. Its definitely a favorite! Love it!
Wonderful! I'm so pleased to hear that you are enjoying my channel. On some levels, I'm jealous. I'd love working with a blank slate. So many opportunities! I find thinking/visualizing about all the options so enjoyable and relaxing. Have fun with it!
Roseanne your garden is stunning! I have followed you for a few years and am always excited to see when you post a new video. Your garden is so magical and I love the sense of mystery. It is so calming and soothing. I will be watching this video many times to get ideas for my own 5b zoned garden in Ontario Canada. Love how you showed us what went into planning and achieving your masterpiece! ❤️🇨🇦❤️
Greetings to Ontario! I'm so pleased that you have been enjoying the videos of our garden 🌹🌿🌞. It is truly a sanctuary from the rest of the world (at least until a plane flies over 😉). It's always such a great compliment when people say that they're re-watching one of my videos. Thank you Lise.
Greetings! That is a really kind thing to say about my voice. I've often been self-conscious about it. But, glad you enjoyed the video! Seems you were planning some hardscape projects?
What a wonderful retrospective of your garden over time. The stump bench was lovely but your husband's stone bench is so beautiful, a real piece of art. Thank you for sharing such a realistic view of gardening with all its gorgeous moments, inevitable declines, and positive adaptations.
Love your garden! A work of art for sure! What a wonderful video! I appreciate the amount of time and planning it must have taken to show the evolution. Perfect video for many new gardeners to see how the garden can change with time.
I thoroughly enjoyed watching this video on how your beautiful landscape and garden plans evolved, from beginning to end. I have watched more recent videos of your garden, and always have loved your selection and placements of everything you have planted there. It truly is fairytale and whimsical, and just lovely to view. This video was a treat, to see the pictures of how bare your property was before you embarked on the transformation of your property. I love seeing the before and after, it's so inspiring. And shows the possibilities when something like this is well planned and executed. 👍😊❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hi there! I’m so glad that you have been enjoying my videos! Before and after videos are so revealing, aren’t they? Thanks again for your generous comment. Happy gardening!🌺
I thoroughly enjoyed looking at and listening to your comments and beautiful description & details on your fantastic gardens/yard y'all have created through the years! Thanks so much for sharing. God bless
So good to see you again, this video was a nice treat on this wintery day here in Western Massachusetts. You and your husband did so much work over the years and your yard looks amazing, thank you 🙏
Greetings to Western Massachusetts! Glad to hear you are enjoying my channel ☺️. Our garden is indeed the result of a good partnership. It really wouldn't be near as "enchanted" without that beautiful stonework. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I can’t tell you the envy I have for your garden! I live in Florida and am lucky to grow a weed. So thank you for giving me something to dream about and rest my weary eyes. 💛🙏🏻😌
Greetings to Florida! I'm so glad you found the video enjoyable! Right now, I dream of Florida. We still have a foot of snow on the ground. Last night it was single digits. Brrr. I just want Spring! ;-)
that was a mini vacation for my gardeners heart. Thank you so much. Loved seeing the evolution over the years. Ans especially thru the seasons in the beginning of the video. Just lovely.
This is an excellent video! The detail is amazing and very much appreciated. Specifically, I loved how you showed your plan, labels on your plan, and then how it looks in real life. Seeing the changes over time was also incredibly valuable. I've been gardening for years in a similar zone in Canada. You really opened my eyes to why I would bother with annuals and annual bulbs because you showed exactly what they added to your garden. I'm so grateful to have seen this while it's still early enough to start some seeds and find some bulbs. Educational. Inspiring. Very clear. It's time to rewatch and make notes!
Greetings to Canada! Thank you Karen - I'm so glad you appreciated the video! I value the feedback. Sometimes I wonder if I used too many diagrams. But, it's easier to tell the story using them ☺️. Yay, on more seeds and bulbs! The very act of shopping for them is so uplifting. Enjoy. I keep wanting to simplify every spring, but I never seem to pull it off 😉🌿🌹.
Rosanne, I've so missed your videos this Spring and Summer! I hope you are well. Even though we are in completely different grow zones, I've found much of your information interesting and relevant to what I am hoping to achieve at our new homestead we'll be moving to later this year. Your recollection of the botanical names for your plantings, pleasant voice, and enchanted garden design are a few of my favorite qualities of you and your videos. I hope you and your garden are thriving!
Hi! Sorry for the delay in responding! Big things have been happening here - Steve and I have moved to a new home and a new garden. It was difficult to leave the old garden, but it is in good hands. I will be focusing my energy on creating a new garden, which I plan to chronicle on this channel. I'm glad you've enjoyed the videos and hope you will be patient as things settle down. I do plan on publishing a "Farewell Garden Tour" sometime this fall/winter with video from this last summer. Thanks for your lovely note!
Just wanted to say thank you for your gorgeous and inspiring videos! I'm a new homeowner setting up my very first garden and your advice and inspiration has been invaluable. I'm hoping to set up a similar "enchanted" feel mixed with a native/wildlife planting scheme.
You are quite welcome! I am just so glad that you have found my videos helpful in establishing your own garden. I don't think you can be exposed to too many gardens for inspiration. Your plans sound lovely; there are just so many reasons to grow native 🌿. Enjoy making it your very own (and take lots of pictures/videos along the way 😉)
Thank you so much! I'm really pleased to hear that you enjoyed the video. When you are putting it together, you never really know. I appreciate your feedback! Thanks for watching and commenting! 🌹
Everything is absolutely beautiful. I very much appreciate your step by step explanations of how you planned and created your lovely garden. Thank you. 🌿
Hi Rosanne, new subscriber here from Bloomington, MN. Glad to find someone else who gardens in the same zone as I. Great inspirations and a lovely garden.
I loved seeing the garden develop, thank you for sharing the whole process and for reminding me that these things take time and evolve and change - you're never 'done'.
Fantastic and exactly what I needed. I recently moved from On to central Sk and will be making brand new gardens. Can’t wait but it is -32’C today so I will have to!☺️
I have missed you, so funny my husbands name is Steve and my mother’s name is Elsie! I love your garden, it is truly enchanting. I love the stone and the winding paths… so well done. Thank you it was nice to hear from you again.
Thank you so much for this detailed and inspirational video. I too live in zone four and I am very inspired by what you’ve done. Your husband’s stonework is top notch. Thank you for generously taking us through your process and design concepts. It’s also remarkable how you documented years worth of planting and growing in your evolving garden! Really well done!!! It is indeed enchanting and magical. 💖
Hi! I'm so glad that you enjoyed the video journey of our garden, and my husbands stonework. It really does "make" the garden. This video project was fun; pouring over old photos and reconstructing the garden in the form of a video during cold, snowy days was very therapeutic 😉.
Thank you! The center island has worked out quite well. Even visiting dogs realize there's a race track in our back yard in no time at all. Of all, the addition of the trees have given us such a feeling of privacy and intimacy in our garden. It's hard to go wrong with trees!
Dear Roseanne , thank you so much for taking us through your process! I am in a spot where you were 15 years ago with an empty space and a long wish list. I wasn’t sure where to start… until I watched your video! Your garden is magical and your heart is beyond generous to share such incredible knowledge with us. Thank you again. One question - you have a lot of evergreen conifers - where do you buy them from and any suggestions on how to manage the budget with them given they can be expensive?
Thank you! That is all very kind of you to say. My husband and I truly enjoy sharing our garden 🌹🌿 and I'm glad you found the video timely and helpful. I'm not sure where you live, but we bought most of our trees from Bachman's in Minneapolis. My tips would be to first plant the trees that will get the largest, fastest. Get impact going. Fill in smaller shrubs or trees later. And, buy smaller/younger trees than you might like. They always cost less. Thank for writing and commenting, Best of luck with your project!
@@RosannesGarden Thank you, I am in Philadelphia , zone 7 - all the more reason for me to watch zone 4 garden videos :-). The tips indeed make sense - I started my garden with only perennials last year and they looked weird in front of our 2 storey house. Missed all the tree/shrub bones completely!🤦🏻♀️… going to work on those this year.
Thank you so much for sharing such a beautiful video with us today .Love your place it’s so beautiful and romantic along with so much beautiful whimsy everywhere everything is so beautiful hugs and kisses from grandma Sandy and Debbie
Greetings to Grandma Sandy and Debbie! I am so glad you enjoyed this garden journey and the touches of 🐰 whimsy! Thank you so much for watching and commenting. 🌹🌿😊
Hi Rosanne! I was thinking about you the other day and here you are, lucky for us. What a beautiful and informative video. You have given me some really great ideas because I am clueless. I have an acre that I am slowly chipping away at. I have two giant Christmas looking trees that are around fifty feet high at least, and approximately thirty or forty feet apart, and are parallel to one another. I love the idea of an island of plants and flowers under and around them. Those trees are spectacular and I hope I have the smarts to pick the right plants. I really love those weeping evergreen spruce looking plants in your yard. Sorry for rambling, but I get so excited when I watch your videos. Have a fantastic weekend and thank you. 💚
Thank you Mary! I am just so happy that you are enjoying my channel and getting some ideas to help with your own garden. It sounds like you have a great opportunity to really make something special. Not everyone can start out with two spectacular trees! Just create layers, and think diversity in terms of plant structure and foliage texture and color. All the best on your project! 😊🌷🌹🌻🌲
@@RosannesGarden thank you so much. I will refer to most of your videos for ideas. And I also appreciate the fact that you label all of your plants so I can go to the nursery and ask for the plant by their proper names.
Thank you for your kind words. I'm very glad that you are enjoying my channel! My goal is to educate and inspire people. It's nice to get feedback such as yours :-)
Thank you for taking us on your 15 year garden journey. It is so easy to forget how much time, work and effort goes into having a beautiful garden and that it is never ending. As one tree dies it makes way for new possibilities.
Hello from Georgia. Ms. Rosanne, your garden is an inspiration; so so lovely. Thank you for sharing your home and all the useful information. Even though I'm a single retired woman, my hope is to have a small home with a garden with flowers and produce. Your dog is adorable; she must bring you and your husband much joy. Take care.
Thank you Vivian! I am so glad that you found the video inspirational. I hope you get your small home and garden soon 🌹. Dogs are the very best. We adore ours 😊.
Thank you so much for posting another video. They are so informative, I always make sure to have my note book handy to write down the names of plants to add to my wish list. Your yard is so beautiful and thank you for sharing you and your husbands talent with us.🥰
Thank you Kim! That is very sweet of you to say. I'm glad you appreciate the plant names. It's something I appreciate in other videos too. Thanks for watching and commenting! 🌼🌹🌲
Thanks Connie. This year my Delphinium didn't do so well - they were short and barely flowered. I love them, so next year I guess I'll buy new plants. Sometimes perennials just get old.
I watch a lot of gardening channels but yours is the absolute best because is so relatable to a regular size home/garden space. It is amazing what you and your husband have achieved in an urban space. Please grace us with your beautiful garden more often.Thank you for sharing

I thoroughly enjoyed this, and appreciated seeing the progress. Such a magical and enchanted space.✨
Thank you! I'm so pleased you enjoyed the video journey! 🌞🌼🌹
I just adore you garden and your videos. thanks for sharing!
Thank you! I'm so glad to hear you're enjoying my channel!
Wow, Beautiful Upload friend. keep it up. Thank you for sharing this to us. Greetings from Korea
Greetings to Korea! Thanks! I am so pleased you enjoyed the video tour 🌿🙂🌹
Good for you! I can't wait to see what you create from a blank canvas at your new place. Best wishes!@@RosannesGarden
Enjoy making it your very own (and take lots of pictures/videos along the way 😉)
What an artist you are!!🌟 Your backyard is a dream. Thank you for the wonderful advice!💗💗💗
You are so welcome! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video journey! 🌹
Your garden is breathtaking, small and quaint but looks big.🥰
Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed the tour! 🌞🌿🌹

Hi Rosanne, new subscriber here from Bloomington, MN. Glad to find someone else who gardens in the same zone as I. Great inspirations and a lovely garden.
Greetings neighbor! I'm so glad you found my channel! Glad you were inspired. Thanks for watching and subscribing. 🌹
I loved seeing the garden develop, thank you for sharing the whole process and for reminding me that these things take time and evolve and change - you're never 'done'.

I loved watching your new video. Your garden is beautiful.
Thank you! This one took a while to come out, but thanks for hanging in there! Glad you're enjoying the garden 🌷🌞🌿
Fantastic and exactly what I needed. I recently moved from On to central Sk and will be making brand new gardens. Can’t wait but it is -32’C today so I will have to!☺️
Greetings to Canada! It's cold here too, but not that cold! Brrr. New gardens can be so much fun! I'm glad you found the video helpful. 🌲🌷😊
I have missed you, so funny my husbands name is Steve and my mother’s name is Elsie! I love your garden, it is truly enchanting. I love the stone and the winding paths… so well done. Thank you it was nice to hear from you again.
Greetings Tammy! Funny about the names! Glad you enjoyed the garden journey. As always, thanks for watching and commenting! 🌹
Your garden is absolutely stunning.
Thank you Tracy. Glad you enjoyed the video!
You both did such a wonderful job designing your beautiful garden. I absolutely love your space. Thank you for sharing with us.
Thank you so much Joy! We love sharing our garden. Glad you could visit!
Absolutely just beautiful!!
Thank you so much!
Благодарю, Розанна, за ваш рассказ о вашем прекрасном саде
You are quite welcome! 🌷
Vam ochen' rady!
Love the center island plan - it looks beautiful, allows for anticipation - and lets the pup run!! 🙂🌿🌼
Thank you! The center island has worked out quite well. Even visiting dogs realize there's a race track in our back yard in no time at all. Of all, the addition of the trees have given us such a feeling of privacy and intimacy in our garden. It's hard to go wrong with trees!
As always really enjoy your UA-cam It is forever something I look forward to, keep them coming.
Thank you Monique! That is very nice of you to say! I hope to do a spring tour, so stay tuned...
Very nice !!! I am a big fan of P Allen also.
Hope to see more of the garden this year🌻
Thanks for sharing:)
Thank you Gene! I'm hoping to do a spring tour this year. Stay tuned..
Just lovely.
Thank you. 🌹
Another Informative And Inspiring documentary by Roseanne. Thank you so much For the chronology of the Planting selections
Thank you for your kind words. I'm very glad that you are enjoying my channel! My goal is to educate and inspire people. It's nice to get feedback such as yours :-)
What an absolutely gorgeous garden; thanks so much for sharing.
Our pleasure! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video journey 🌹
Always wait for Rosanne’s videos and always get the most satisfaction. Thank you!
Glad you like them! I hope I won't disappoint 😉 !
Thank you for taking us on your 15 year garden journey.
It is so easy to forget how much time, work and effort goes into having a beautiful garden and that it is never ending. As one tree dies it makes way for new possibilities.
Greetings! I'm so glad you appreciated the journey! It truly is a circle of life. 🌿
Wow that is absolutely amazing!
Thank you!!
Oh, I forgot, greetings to Georgia!!!
such a beautiful transformation! love the patio extension and stone bench 😊💕
Thanks so much! 😊 Glad you enjoyed the video journey!
Wonderful video. I was 'enchanted'!
😉. Glad to hear it! Thanks.
Another, So Beautiful. You and your husband are so talented. I have never been able to keep a delphinium alive. Love them :( Thank you.
Thanks Connie. This year my Delphinium didn't do so well - they were short and barely flowered. I love them, so next year I guess I'll buy new plants. Sometimes perennials just get old.
I just love the tree stump bench!
Yes, the tree stump bench was truly magical.☺️
Wow, lots of huge trees. I like the rest.
Thanks 🌲🌞🌳🌷
