Scott played a different character each week. He could do anything. Great actor.

0:49 Scott's real life daughter. I always loved the ones where he sang. He has such a beautiful voice.

Gospel is beautiful. I love playing Amazing Grace with my bagpipes and actually feeling the song. Amazing. Scott does it well ....as usual ❤️

This is before Mary Elizabeth McGlynn was KNOWN as a singer. No surprise she went on to be a big success.

I love to hear it on bagpipes. Even Scotty played it on bagpipes in "ST:WOK" for Spock. When my dad died in '84, a bagpipes-in the Scottish Rite band-played it for him. The movie was played in the student centre on campus at NGC-where I going to college then- I cried for my dad and Spock (again). Somewhere, a bagpipe band played it for Leonard Nimoy when he died. I found myself crying again, but still loving it. The tune was played at the end of a movie he was in and I didn't hear anyone object to it.

I once had a music partner who sang Gospel with me.
I hope that God will let me marry either her or somebody like her one day.
I would love to spend the rest of my life glorifying God like this with a wife doing it with me.

I'm not a fan of this episode because it's a gimmick but I'll watch it up until the end of this scene, I love this scene. She has a beautiful voice! I also enjoy Scott's singing.
What really bugs me though is that this is the second time in the series that Sam sings this song (the first was in season one's 'The Right Hand of God') and neither time uses the final verse which is a reflection on Sam's character:
_"Through many dangers, toils and snares, I have already come._
_Tis Grace hath brought me safe thus far, and Grace will lead me home."_
Tidbit: The little girl bent in prayer at 0:48 is Scott's daughter Chelsy.

I always enjoy this sceen. They got so wonderful wonderful voices. I bought the complete show on dvd and realized for the first time why I loved the show. It's about making things good witch once went bad. It's about sam who knew he jumps with the help of god. He's got a good heart. He sacrificed his life for others. Today, as grown up I see more than in the past I was able to see.

Who is this "Sam" you're talking about? Obviously that's a young Elvis Presley, from before he hit it big. Duh.
