Quantum Leap was one of my favorite shows growing up. These clips taken from the following episodes:
Catch A Falling Star Season 2, Episode 10
Scott Bakula has to be one of the most underrated actors of our time
Have to agree, with Quantum Leap and then Enterprise; it was nice to see him in Chuck too!
I have often said that exact thing!
I like him, too. But, it doesn't necessarily bother me, if others don't know him. It would bother me, if he were being persecuted (and, I don't see that, happening.)
I'm just giving my thumbs up, and moving on.
From wu way back when til now, he's the GREATEST! SINGER, PERSONALITY, FULL OF CHARACTER AND KINDNESS, THE LOVE SHINES OUT OF HIM!(don't mean to shout, just enthusiastic!
uwielbiam i kocham, genialne wykonanie
This has to my Favourite ending to a Quantum leap episode
R. I. P Dean Stockwell
I always show people this exact moment to showcase how perfect the friendship was between the two characters.
@@EntertainmentEncyclopedia oh I love their friendship! Me and my family have been loving watching the show again!
Scott played a different character brilliantly in every episode.
Best actor on the screen.
R.I.P. Dean Stockwell, a beautiful, beautiful performer!
At this ending I cry my eyes out every time. Sam was Don Quixote. Really.
Sam and Al as they go off up the stairs together.
"My armor. My sword."
"More misadventures?"
"Adventures, old friend."
Scott Bakula should have *really* starred as Don Quixote in a *real* production of Man of La Mancha. He really is that good.
He was quite young back then too, and already that good.
Wow. No wonder I became forever inspired.
Brilliant. 🌟🤩⭐🌠💫
Many years and many plays later, this is *still* one of the best examples I can find anywhere of what good theater should be.
He was in his thirties then, not that young.
Scott, the man of a thousand faces. The talent he has is unparalleled.
When I first saw this episode I thought wow who's the singer doing the voice over for Scott Bakula wasn't till later I learned it was he himself great voice. 👍
Scott Bakula is truly a 4x threat!
Brilliant actor, dancer, singer & does martial arts!!!! And very good looking! No matter what role he takes on, he will always be Sam Beckett to me! The original Quantum Leap will always be the best quality version ever!!!! ❤
My favorite Quantum Leap episode. Thank you for posting
Mine too. I love this this episode
Always been fond of this musical episode. It's the pure joy of the craft, clearly the whole crew had a great time making this one, and it shines through the whole show. Best ending to any QL episode too, onwards to more adventures!
What matter wounds to the body of the knight errant, for each time he falls he shall rise again and woe to the wicked - Al? More misadventures? Adventures old friend.
One of my favourite quotes of all time, thanks to QL!
your so right
your both so right
Onwards to more adventures friend! 😊💖
Add to that, the man he's supposedly filling in for was the *actual* Broadway _Man of La Mancha_ for a time.
I never noticed this before but the actor playing Sancho Panza is Ernie Sabella who later played that role on Broadway w/Brian Stokes Mitchell & Mary Elizabeth Mastrontonio. He was also the voice of Pumba in Disney’s The Lion King.
Thank you! I thought so but wasn't entirely sure.
This episode is one of the several main reasons why I still love this show.
Absolutely to bits and pieces.
This is really just so good.
This was also the very first Man of La Mancha I ever loved. 😍
*Not* the first I ever *saw*.
The first I ever *loved*.
I finally got to see it at Lakewood Cultural Center in my area a few years ago and that was the *only* one so far that moved me as much as this one.
I think that the part where he's singing as he's dying...is probably hardly ever played right.
This version is *so* played right.
Well done and bravo. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Dulcinea and Scott Bakula’s character were in love with each other during that episode.
The best song in Quantum leap! 😊👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
QL introduced me to Man of LaMancha as a teen, Songs I still love to this day.
Still yet to see the play, on my bucket list!
Thanks for the video, loved it!!!!!!!!
japudjuha if you search mam la Mancha on youtube there's a 2014 play
In the CD, "The Music of Quantum Leap," there is an interview at the end of it. Scott Bakula says that when they filmed this and afterward, he was grateful and pleased at the impact of musical theater because the crew members--big, burly union members who were really tough- looking, were all walking around humming the songs and really seemed into the whole musical.
You need to watch the play. I got to see it with Brent Spiner in the lead.
I saw it with Robert Goulet
In June of 1995, I auditioned to do a community theater production of Man Of La Mancha. I got the role of the Barber/ Prisoner and enjoyed the next 8 weeks. My first play and this is my first time seeing this clip of Scott Bakula playing Cervantes/ Don Quixote. This just after I moved to Warner Robins, Georgia about 3 weeks later.
Aside to cilsley...I've been saying exactly the same thing since this episode of Quantum Leap first aired. . This man can do anything in entertainment at a fabulous level, and yet, few people know who he is. Also, Quantum Leap was an under rated show. I'd love to see it rerun.
Wish the end scene introductions were included when they all gathered onstage
We love Scott a lot and i agree with you guys, he is so talented and lovable and very underrated. I mean, i think he should have been more popular that what he is now.
This was the first episode of QL I saw, and I immediately loved it!
That makes me emotional every time I see it.
One of Scott's best.
Shame the sound isn't synched right.
In this episode, Scott Bakula plays Dr. Sam Beckett who leaps into the body of Ray Hutton who plays Miguel de Cervantes who impersonates Alonso Quijano who thinks he's Don Quixote. A dude playing a dude who looks like another dude playing a dude disguised as a dude who doesn't know what dude he is.
Scott does a great job but the lady in this OMG what a voice goosebumps 3:23
(though they should have spared her that godawful wig)
So beautiful. The story of Sam and his lost love was so very touching to me as a child. It was so sad yet so divine. First time I ever felt that way, just a small Boy.
4:20 recognizes that he'll never see her again
If this production of Man of La Mancha were a *real* production then it would be absolutely one of the best. 😍
Only the performance that Sam was in, of course. ^____^
I think Scott is the right age for a La Mancha revival on B'way now. I'd fly in to see that...
He is the right age and a wonderful singer, but he’s a tenor and IMHO the part really calls for a baritone or even a bass. I’m happy he’s making the big TV money right now, but I would love to see him perform again for one of those on-line Broadway charity things.
@@timmooney6910 I feel the same way but there is a precedent for tenors singing the role, usually operatic tenors as in someone I've done the show with, the recording with Domingo, plus some people argue that John Raitt was really a tenor.
I love his singing voice! I only wish they had featured him singing more often
"Quantum Leap" and the cast are the best!
Scott Bakula is a awesome singer.
Man I loved that show! I'd love to see them do a limited run to update us on Sam.
Watching March 2020
I love the show
Scott is no stranger to musicals. There's an underrated animated film called "Cats Don't Dance" and he did both regular & singing voice for the main protagonist Danny.
Not only does Sam (Scott) have a blast living all these lives but Al (Dean) has a front row seat into the awesomeness. I’d love to be in Al’s position. They both owned their roles in the show. Gosh, I miss when the episodes were new.
Dulcinea’s frizzy, curly hair was the epitome of 1980’s beauty,
Dean Stockwell's dad Harry was not only the voice of the Prince in Disney's Snow White but the first replacement for Alfred Drake in the original Oklahoma!
I recently remembered I used to watch this as a kid and that I liked it a lot. I'm debating whether I want to buy the series or not. Unfortunately, Vudu doesn't have it as a bundle and the season sale prices aren't great so far either.
Sums Quantum Leap up this. Fighting evil
Ok, after seeing this episode I'm obsessed to see a whole Don Quixote musical, but I can't find any version that is even close to Scott Bakula's performance. Could someone help me, please?
Anyone going to go see Scott playing Don Quixote in Peterborough, NH?
My all time favourite episode
my favorite QL story ever
I just like at the end where he's clearly just talking to himself on the stairs from the audiences perspective.
Yeah, but everyone thinks Don Quixote (or rather the character in the play who pretends/believes he's Don Quixote) is insane so the audience probably just thought of it as an odd flourish on the actor's part.
Love seeing Scott Bakula. Still, I'm a bit disappointed because I'd heard that John Cullum of whom I'm a huge fan did snippets of the role in this episode, that's why I sought this out.
As I recall, he did, but it's just not in this particular compilation.
@@tejaswoman Correct. See the whole episode to hear John Cullum, who performed this role on Broadway several times-just outstanding in this role. Nonetheless, I got goosebumps the first time I heard Bakula sing the Dulcinea snippet, and it’s still my favorite clip in all of QL.
@cilsley0210 That's so nice to hear that cisley. I've always loved Scott as one of the best actors ever. He is very underappreciated.
Is it just me or are the pic and sound out of sync
My favorite episode! 😭💙😭🌟
The best episode ever of QL and with that performance of Don Quixote, what a song,, what a voice of the Lady.!!!!!
How did Nicole/Dulcinea know that Sam was going to leap?
She doesn't. That's just how the play ends. The character that Sam is playing is walking up the stairs to be judged by Spanish Inquisition. (Which everyone is expecting.)
I appreciate your response. I saw this episode about 30 years ago, and I’ve never seen the play.
I read a summary of this episode. Sam had been in love with his piano teacher, Nicole, when he was 15 years old. (Nicole was 18 at the time). Sam leaped into Ray’s body. (Ray was the understudy for a drunk actor who was going to injure himself).
Sam, as Ray, told Nicole that he had been in love with his piano teacher. Sam also said to Nicole, “I love you Nicole.” Nicole said to Sam, “I love you too.” (She didn’t mention a name). They passionately kissed.
Sam was walking up the steps as Ray, playing Don Quixote.
Sam looked at Nicole with love and longing. Nicole looked at Ray, (with Sam’s personality), with the same love and longing. Of course Sam knew that he was going to leap. Nicole might also have realized that the love of her life was leaving.
How is the first song called? please. 0:01
Man of La Mancha - Dulcinea
je voudrais bien que la série quantum leap reviens en France car moins ça ne manque tant reviens sam je t'aime
My second favourite song ever is impossible dream. My favourite is Ride Forever by Canadian Paul Gross
This was my favorite episode ever! I love musicals and I love Scott Bakula even more. This was a great show and he was the best. I've enjoyed him in his new show, Men of a Certain Age, but sadly it was cancelled.
Yo los llevo en mi corazón. Yo era adolescente y no me los perdía. Lo mejor que han podido producir
I love this episode. It was terrific to see Michelle Pawk. I had been in a community production of Jesus Christ Superstar with her. She has remarkable talent.
I’m confused... is this an episode of Quantum Leap, Enterprises or a 'before they were famous clip?
This was an Episode of Quantum Leap
Gracias a quien haya puesto estos videos
It occurs to me Al is CLEARLY shown walking up a flight of steps at the end but I prefer to view that as the way they envisioned themselves, not an actual flaw
Oh boy...
The greatest show if all time.
I love horses and all animals more than all people some of whom are just plain cruel
I just love this episode.
@whiteheartmovies Quantum Leap
Charlie looks tense, I guess he’s so used to John playing Don
Fav episode. Great voice.
This episode, this show, epic !
Круто

J adore l homme de la mancha interprété par Jacques Brel autant que celle interprété par John barrowman j aimerais que John barrowman interprété aussi en anglais la quête chanson issue de la même cmedie musicale ce serait super
Sam and Dulcinea looked at each other with such longing.
моя любимая серия
Who was the Actual Singer?
+Itsmeeman1 Scott did all his own singing on the show.
Michael Anderson But it sounds nothing like his voice. It sounds like a professional tenner.
Itsmeeman1 He's just that good. Should listen to the Quantum Leap soundtrack :)
Bakula is a well trained musical actor. He played the lead in Man of La Mancha a few times.
Eleglas Well aware :)
@Eleglas Thanks, but I was actually joking :)
For me the most rememberable Scene of the whole Production. For me, Scott Bacula should had never to be Captain of the Enterprise. THIS was his perfect moment of presentation. Simply perfect! Sorry Scott - but from there it went not up. Emotionally. I still respect you a lot for quantum leap and the armadillo bears.
Hehehehehe mr. Trump hehehehehe
A lot like Shatner is Star Trek.
Soo beautyfuuuuuuull 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
