The Great American Eclipse
On April 8, 2024, KGNS delivered exceptional coverage of the Great American Eclipse, a rare celestial event that captivated our audience and brought our community together. Despite being a small market station, our dedicated team provided comprehensive coverage that spanned across Laredo and beyond, showcasing the eclipse from multiple unique perspectives.
Our commitment to covering this once-in-a-lifetime event was evident as we stationed our teams throughout the city and beyond. From Laredo to Eagle Pass, each location offered a different angle on this astronomical phenomenon.
To capture the full totality of the eclipse without damaging our cameras, we equipped a team with special lens equipment and sent them out of town. This preparation allowed us to provide our viewers with stunning, safe-to-view footage of the eclipse, ensuring that everyone could experience the event in its full glory.
Our beloved and well-known chief meteorologist, Richard "Heatwave" Berler, brought his trademark enthusiasm to the broadcast. His excitement was contagious as he provided live weather forecasts from on location and engaged with viewers about the significance of the eclipse.
We were present at numerous watch parties, capturing the excitement and communal spirit as people from all walks of life gathered to witness the event together. Additionally, we highlighted how students incorporated the eclipse into their education, how animals reacted to the sudden change in daylight, and even showcased the experience from an aerial perspective. This holistic approach ensured that our viewers received a well-rounded understanding of the event.
Our sports segment also integrated the eclipse, noting how the shadow affected games. To end the broadcast on a delightful note, we featured a local bakery's creative "conchas" sweet bread shaped like an eclipse, adding a cultural touch to our coverage.

CRISIS ACTORS WAKE UP YOUR ALL SO DAMN LOST !!!!!! 😢💔🙏
Who is this "Sam" you're talking about? Obviously that's a young Elvis Presley, from before he hit it big. Duh.
Gospel is beautiful. I love playing Amazing Grace with my bagpipes and actually feeling the song. Amazing. Scott does it well ....as usual ❤️
Scott played a different character each week. He could do anything. Great actor.
Deeply moving.
Elvis
Love quaptum leap
Loved it
0:49 Scott's real life daughter. I always loved the ones where he sang. He has such a beautiful voice.
Beautiful
Big Ben with welfare you are you are you are you are you are just so
Captain Jonathan Archer and Major Motoko Kusanagi.
Love it thank you
SCOTT BAKULA

Time & temp?
KGNS NEWS
Awesomeness 😇
The temperature and the time? What about measurements? Please do a new video 🙏🏽
My my.. praise God
Temp
I enjoyed this 😂
Where is the other half of the recipe? Usually, the person cooking gives the temperature, time of cooking, and any details needed to have it come out successfully. Thank you
Kahna Emery yeah me too I was wondering
This video is 10 years old but it's solved my little problem today. Here I am up to my elbows making a meatloaf for my dogs (yes, you read that correctly) and it won't all fit in the Instant Pot. You are a lifesaver! WooHoo! Thank you so much.
Looks really good, old school cooker yeaaahhhh 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
This is before Mary Elizabeth McGlynn was KNOWN as a singer. No surprise she went on to be a big success.
If anyone tried this, could they list the measurements?
This is old!!!
Ovencakes
I got the whole series of box sets on Amazon UK for about £34.99!
I love Gospel music too especially Amazing Grace. We sing it at my current Anglican Church St Lawwrence
I love to hear it on bagpipes. Even Scotty played it on bagpipes in "ST:WOK" for Spock. When my dad died in '84, a bagpipes-in the Scottish Rite band-played it for him. The movie was played in the student centre on campus at NGC-where I going to college then- I cried for my dad and Spock (again). Somewhere, a bagpipe band played it for Leonard Nimoy when he died. I found myself crying again, but still loving it. The tune was played at the end of a movie he was in and I didn't hear anyone object to it.
I once had a music partner who sang Gospel with me. I hope that God will let me marry either her or somebody like her one day. I would love to spend the rest of my life glorifying God like this with a wife doing it with me.
Love my microwave.
Awesome recipe
Mark and Brian in background. Anybody? Bueller?
I remember them begging to be on shows all the time while at KLOS. Several shows like Briscoe County and Married With Children.
I'm not a fan of this episode because it's a gimmick but I'll watch it up until the end of this scene, I love this scene. She has a beautiful voice! I also enjoy Scott's singing. What really bugs me though is that this is the second time in the series that Sam sings this song (the first was in season one's 'The Right Hand of God') and neither time uses the final verse which is a reflection on Sam's character: _"Through many dangers, toils and snares, I have already come._ _Tis Grace hath brought me safe thus far, and Grace will lead me home."_ Tidbit: The little girl bent in prayer at 0:48 is Scott's daughter Chelsy.
I always enjoy this sceen. They got so wonderful wonderful voices. I bought the complete show on dvd and realized for the first time why I loved the show. It's about making things good witch once went bad. It's about sam who knew he jumps with the help of god. He's got a good heart. He sacrificed his life for others. Today, as grown up I see more than in the past I was able to see.
The real talent is that guy playing blues on the harmonica.
It is deviance behaviour pictures
incomplete instructions👎👎
YOU BARELY EVEN SHOWED THEM AFTER THEY WERE DONE. WHAT THE FUCK??

I was looking at microwave cake recipes all day. By far yours is the best!
gudonya i knew this could be done in a jiff and now you've done it! Would appreciate a bit more detail on how long you cooked it for as you only gave the 4 minute time for the second go around in the microwave oven
I love the short shot of Gandalf looking so beaten and disheartened at the end. Such a great detail illustrating his limited control situations.
What flavor of cake mix did you use?
I can't believe anybody would not be ashamed to put up a recipe that uses cake mix, ridiculous!!!
4 years later and it does this to me too.. so much emotion in this... the song.. and the impending demise of the riders... more so because of the torn relationship between father and son..
yeah! Oprah!!
Your father loves you faramir..he will remember it before the end... <3
Nice desert and nice voice and HAIR!!!! :D
