No simulcasting for now, I only stream the odd special event on youtube
@@MichaelHendriks That's OK. As long as old VODs show up, I can follow along. You stream at very late hours for me and Twitch is somewhat poor for archived VOD content.
I attempted to play Warptorio with Rampant and was quickly told by the local biters that evolution carries over between warps with rampant. that run is now unsalvageable.
O heck yeah that sounds impossible
Just run it on a speedrun world with biters disabled so you can get a decent earlygame I guess?
@@snowdrop9810 I've moved on to SE and am playing my first run on a biterless Nauvis so I can trudge through the early game as recklessly as I want while I figure out the bigger tech tree with all the mods I've shoved into it
@@MichaelHendriks if you mix it with a mod that sets base destruction evolution contribution negative, it'd be doable at least.
my experience with Warptorio and Rampant is that is broke the biter pathfinding, causing them to stay well away from the platform walking in a loop. Kinda defeats the point...

A 600% Deathworld with Rampant installed would be pretty interesting to watch, as it would be the sequel to the Mega-Deathworld series. Maybe you could also add a secondary win condition/handicap?

4:35: Technically, Factorio's damage formula lets you deal damage to biters even if their armor exceeds your bullet damage. An 11-damage bullet should deal a whopping 1/3 of a point of damage to behemoth biters! ..wait, they also have an additional 10% damage reduction. So it deals about 0.3 damage per bullet, taking _only_ 10,000 bullets to defeat. Assuming you shoot them quickly enough that health regeneration isn't a factor. Clearly feasible.
Yeah, you can see that effect if you keep an eye on the behemoth biter health in the accompanying clip. At first it goes down, but when there's only 2 gun turrets left, the behemoth biter heals faster than the gun turrets can damage it!
I think you have an audio issue on this upload Michael, your voice sounds very muffled compare to the rest of your videos. (I love the atmosphere of your series btw)

Great series. I actually tried Warptorio after watching the first few episodes but I think I like watching you do it more.
I was pretty doubtful when you first managed to stop the clock, but you've made great progress this episode, I await the next with bated breath!
I don't know if people say it enough, but I think a lot of us really appreciate your alliteration.
In my run I only had the mining platforms on iron and copper. Stone and coal (and later uranium) were 100% hand fed. With all the levels of warp mining productivity you should be able to run burner miners into steel furnaces and actually accumulate ore. The electric miners into chests probably works better for you since you can't using the platform teleporter, and the burner's internal buffer of 50 coal fills up super quick.

There is actually a stoped playthrough with anbreakable biters, even with maybe a restart but still that's one of the most mad playthrough. But no ore patches is kinda interesing too.

That was the case in the olden days. Biter spawned made purple science
I predict that Mike will *not* go full ultimate deathworld and clear a huge amount of space such that there are enough trees and chunks to absorb all the platform pollution and solve the biter problem forever (though it would be an interesting experiment. I'm not even sure how useful trees would be, since the pollution is so dense that it would likely damage any trees it came into contact with. So the trees would need to be far enough out so that the terrain and sheer radius can whittle down the pollution density to the point that trees can sustainably absorb it all).
The problem is that the pollution from the warp platform increases exponentially. It's literally impossible to clear a large enough area without some form of automation like spiders or artillery. He showed that in a previous Warptorio video.
ohh, forgot that the pollution increases exponentially. Yeah, if the amount of pollution is increasing (even if it's just a linear increase as opposed to a set amount constantly being created like I thought), then yeah, what I suggested would no longer be absolutely ridiculous, it would be fully impossible.
I wish there was a lategame tech that fixes the warp reactor and switches off its pollution

Yes, those spawned in recently with minin platform size upgrades, but we can't power electric furnaces yet

beacon spam is only way for ups, prod/speed makes the base many times smaller

Evolution increases very slow beyond 90%, so you have some time to upgrade defense if you only barely can kill the first ones.

I just started watching this video, but it bothers me that the author says "Now we are stuck on this planet", despite the fact that he has a huge "Warp!" button on top, and he just turned off the AUTOWARP, and now time will not hold him back, but no one forbade him to move at all. It's just an improvement that gives you convenience and control.

Honestly, I don't get your style of flaming yourself constantly. I am pretty sure its just a story telling techinque, but it lets you shine in a bad light and kinda spoil the mood of the video imo
