I really like this commentary. I'm not a fan of aggressive live reaction. I like the patterned pacing where you say something, pause in vocals as you show what you're doing, then transition to the next thing. It's very relaxing. Your minimized tones make it feel concise, calm, and confident.

Reminds me how much difference the biome makes. You are in the middle of the desert so biters are quick to anger. My current playthrough in a middle of the vast god damned forest, to the point that i need to keep cutting trees just to move around or place buildings. Consequently, most of the pollution gets absorbed and biters were none the wiser up until i had flamethrower turrets.
@@juegoscubicos4410 It really looks randomly. That makes it even cooler and less likely though. Awesome find. When I watch it I kind of want the factorio music to continue and merge into a placement sound remix haha
8:55 Seeing this form of smelter array gave me a sense of clarity and realization that having two lanes for plates on each side makes it so inserters don't get clogged because with one lane output for plates its still efficient but suffers output clogging with larger arrays(Why im starting to love how no matter how many hours you play factorio a single design could change how you aprroach your current design)
I am always amazed at how we all start the same but in so many different ways.. and that means there is always time to learn something new... Cheers for the new ideas.
This is the first channel I've seen that makes edited Factorio videos for beginners. Thank you for making this! I can only stand unedited Factorio if it's from someone like Nefrums or Antipatience where the pace is similar to edited content.
Watching this video after already binging all of your newer content really shows how far you've come. So confused as to why you don't have more subscribers, great content.
"well, you're about 10 minutes and 58 seconds into the video" literally 10 minutes and 58 seconds into the video also the narration style is amazing, great background noise for factorio. Always remember to wash your ores (if you have mods that allow you to) and that overproduction is better than underproduction!
I’ve been trying and failing to get into Factorio for a while now, but I think these videos are really helping me learn the game. I don’t know any of these tricks, ratios, rules of thumb, hotkeys, mechanics, etc. so seeing them in action like this is really nice.
And this is why I almost always turn bitters off , this episode is the epitome of the bitters for me. I got second hand annoyance from that. Great vid though love the channel whish you had more!
To be precise: Big and behemoth biters can attack up to two tiles away - so as long as you leave a gap of one empty tile (or have a two tiles thick wall) biters can't hurt your turrets until the wall is destroyed. Small and medium biters need direct contact to damage buildings.
It is a pain to see effective and simple constructions, your brain wasn't able produce by himself. Can't watch more until my factory not optimized to the finest. You deserve this "Like and subscribe", man.

1 Offshore Pump can handle 20 boilers 1200/60 = 20
Oh shoot really? Oops!
I'll have to fix that in ep4
An offshore pump is also one of the cheapest things in the game and doesn't even need power.
I wouldn't worry at all about having a few extra.

You shouldn't build walls right next to turrets, biters can damage them when they are that close. Leave a gap of 4 or 5
To be precise: Big and behemoth biters can attack up to two tiles away - so as long as you leave a gap of one empty tile (or have a two tiles thick wall) biters can't hurt your turrets until the wall is destroyed. Small and medium biters need direct contact to damage buildings.

wild how you went from a straight forward kinda shy sounding narrator to someone who will break out raps and alliteration like its nothing.
Hey, thanks for the quality content! This is exactly how I like my Factorio videos.
But why do you make two output belts in furnace arrays?
Good question!
It makes it easier to upgrade the throughput of the belts earlier when you unlock steel furnaces
current belts look like this
111111111111
111111111111
what we can do is upgrade to the steel furnaces, but now we don't have room left on the yellow belts!
so what can we do?
a balancer!
balancing the lanes gives us access to both sides of the belt for item placement, so our new setup looks like this
111111|>111111
111111|>111111
and now you can stick a red balancer at the end to get a full red belt out!
111111|>111111|>
111111|>111111|>222222
does this help in the long run? probably not, but it's mostly a stylistic choice :)
