    Thats good going price wise! I wouldn't get under a 27. Carbon 30/35 would be nice. I watched your video on the one shot. Very handy piece of kit. I love my trigger though for being accurate and not getting runs? I'll maybe make a video about it. Thanks for the videos though its all good info.

    Very informative Steven, im currently at this stage in my business where im having to expand, my main business is traditional only but would like to offer WFP as well. Im also based in Ireland but up North.

    Thanks for your comment jake. I'll have to look into the one shot remote.
    The CLX is still a basic pole I agree. Its still heavy enough. What price is a SLX 27? What do you think to the van mount setup? I priced up parts singly, and because of living in Ireland there wasn't much of a pricing difference. Maybe in mainland UK there are more options?

    Hi, new to waterfed systems, I have a Mercedes vito van so plenty of room !! but I run another business in which the van is used, Ive seen a compact system from window cleaning wearhouse which is 325L? with built in flow rate, pump, battery and hose real and DI, for that and the R/O and booster with DI is £2450.00 inc, is this excessive or about right?

  • @codygrant5576

    Hey Steven, you happen to know what the specs are of the pump in the setup? Basically litres or gallons per minute and psi.

    Hi have been enjoying your videos.. inspiring me to make my own van system. .. I currently work for a company and provided a van.. their system is very bodged.. I have been having problems with my relay system to charge the battery controlling the window clean system.. battery currently isn't being charged by the van and have to charge it every night.. my question is where can I get a decent cheap relay system from and how much roughly are they to buy??

    Hi Steven, Great vid. Just a quick question. I have brought a second hand set up but the previous owner drew water through the DI vessel - so the pump is situated after the DI vessel in the process. Looking at yours it looks like You have the water "pushing" through the vessel and after the pump. Which way is best?.

    • @stevenlee4437
      @stevenlee4437  5 років тому

      I far prefer it to push through rather than draw. What I found is that if the tank got below the level of the pump it would start to struggle to pull it through and flow rate was effected 👍🏻 when your pushing through it’s guaranteed. You just need to make sure your joints and resin bottle seal are good and tight for the pressure

      @@stevenlee4437 cheers bud. I did think that, also should be easier on the pump, I'll swap it around

    • @TheCouncellor
      @TheCouncellor 4 роки тому

      First is the sediment then the carbon filter then the big 40/40 membrane filter that should take it to about 7 ppi then the last filter will be the resin bottle that's how you get zero ppi water with the filters.

    25 years this month I have been a traditional window cleaner and I have two questions for you. One regarding the Battery you are using in the wall mounted box.Judging by the depth of that box I am thinking its a small battery possibly a 12volt 7 amp back up battery for a house alarm. Can you tell me will a Leisure battery say 12volt 70 -100amp somewhat the same size as your van battery will fit inside the box or do you take the power for the pump from the vehicle battery?Second question, what is inside the Tank is it plain tap water or has that water been purified in some way and that resin filter brings the impurities down to 1part per million.I am on the verge of taking the plunge but I need to know what is what before I do.

    • @stevenlee4437
      @stevenlee4437  8 років тому

      Hi Keith, the battery is a small leisure type battery. It was supplied to me from Surecleansystems.com. Such a neat setup. I did have a car battery beforehand. But tidiness will save you a lot of heartaches and damaged batteries. Drop me any questions to stevenleecontractcleaning@hotmail.com and id be happy to help. The new system is difficult to get a good job with so I'll be loading new videos of best methodology this week!

    Hi Steven,I've got a 500 litre tank and I'm getting a new van this week and am wondering where to get a frame for it.I don't want to start up half assed so looking at the minute but can't really find anywhere in Ireland that does it.I'm up in county down

    • @stevenlee4437
      @stevenlee4437  6 років тому

      Clark Wilson have you tried Surecleansystems? You could also get a fabricator to make it for you. Have a check for xline tanks- they don’t have a frame around the whole thing- but have a couple of metal strips going through the baffles

    • @clarkwilson4425
      @clarkwilson4425 6 років тому

      I've looked on their site but they don't seem to do them,I'll maybe give them a call tomorrow and see.Actually,I do suppose I could ask someone to make one up for me.
      Wouldn't want to get hit by someone or go into someone while I've an unsecured 500 litre tank in the back.it would be goodnight Vienna,lol!!

    I appreciate what your doing mate, but the clx pole is classed as basic pole, you want full carbon really, most use the slx range, also it is much much cheaper doing the setup diy, almost half the price, so it's best to advise people that diy will save them a fortune, also you may find a one shot remote would be better for the water flow, the trigger is really not ideal, the most common used water flow devices are the aquadaptor and the one shot remote...

    • @markm9652

      +12988Jake Not everyone can afford an SLX , who gives a shit if the CLX is a basic pole it gets the job done! and its what most people can afford. You come across as quite arrogant

    Hi Dude, just wondering how many 3 bedroom semi detached or attached houses, on average you can do in a day with a 350 tank. Tempted to buy bigger but not if I dont have to

    • @moldprintsrl
      @moldprintsrl 7 років тому +1

      trust me go for at least 500L
      I have no idea how you can work a long day with 350 L only ... I had a 400L before and always had to carry 25L canisters to top up the tank. Now ive got 1000L in my transit 280
      @ to your question - personally a long day for me means from 730Am to 430pm and I do about 25 houses altogether a mix of detached and semi
      normally 800L - that's how much water I use to get there

    • @moldprintsrl
      @moldprintsrl 7 років тому +1

      i ve got a standard valve which comes with a gardiner pole - and i get your point here but I really think that even if I waste some water - is not more than a 40 L per day ?! or is it more ... might have to fit a trigger tho

    • @stevenleecleaningservices8042

      Stran I I suppose it's all down to the time the water flows and also the pressure, my 100psi pump is normally set to about 40psi. Trigger is a love hate thing. We did an episode about it recently on our podcast- the window cleaning podcast- on iTunes etc
