Using a few basic tools and nothing more than a painters pole an old water fed brush and some basic bits we are going to make a totally practical Water Fed Pole for Window Cleaning.

Nice super helpful, thanks mate
This brings back so many memories. I used Harris poles like that for the first couple of years when I started. 👍
DeJaVue Dave?
Thanks for this. Inspired me to get the pole and convert it to Gardiner fitting. I'm stingey so I had to make it more reusable. To anyone wanting to do this you can line it with a 0.8mm bit of plastic. If you use gorilla glue the expansion creates a good tight fit on the gooseneck while it's drying. Then use a tap and 6mm M4 bolt with spring washer. That way you can change out the goosenecks. Round off the 6mm bolt so no sharp edges can rub against the hose inside. Hope this helps someone.
Just to add you can 0.8mm off eBay but the plastic cover off a writing pad like you get in Tesco is also about right.
There's some great tips there - thanks for sharing!
FANTASTIC 😃👍
Thank you Bobby
happy easter from across the pond
And right back at you! Slower than Snail mail this is! :)
Many thanks 💪. hoping use for scraping couple roofs using different end. May look into soft wash.
Lovely job
Thank you
Wicked video, I work in the construction industry and I got an extension height pole that you put either side of the track.
A link of where you could get this would have been nice.
Two things; 1. epic how to! Thank you! Just built my own trolley and pole from odds and sods kicking about for my own house. 2. Trying to figure out your accent! Sounds like Cockney and Australian mixed...?
Thanks on the comment.... No cigar on the accent. 😝
@@Darren-Green dang it, gonna have to try and figure this one out!
@@samgraham4168 well you know the rules... 3 guesses and you already had 1. 🤣
@@Darren-Green Damnit! And I wanted to win the speedboat Jim! There's a definite London/Essex twang there to me, just cannot figure out the rest!
@@samgraham4168 No speedboat for you Dusty - Yes, but the east London accent was developed many years ago during my time living there in the early 90s (soo last century) but the rest? Well now.....................
Thanks
You're welcome
hey man im just getting started again used to window clean for a bigger bussiness back a year ago who gave me and a buddy our own rounds and van i was never apart of the contract and ended up leaving now i do trad work around my area on foot as i dont drive im tryna get onto a pole my self but have no van what would u suggest the best system i could have is thats portable?
The biggest downside to no van is simply the volume of purified water you can take with you. When I was working rounds on foot I didn't see it as a viable option to WFP so simply stuck to trad.
Great video mate. Really clear. The only thing you didnt show was how to get that pipe hose through the end drilled hole in a closed unit? Is this easy to do?
Surprisingly, it simply fits through.
Man I wish I could see how you plumed the hose into the brush.
Yes me too what house thickness did you use 8mm or what many thanks
What do i do about airlock in my trolley?
Bleed the air lock out. Turn on full, block end of hose with finger for 2 seconds, keep doing this till clear.
You just carnt find this type of pole I brought 3 cheap 2 metre ones stuck them together to do our gutters and facis boards did the job ok ...
Hard to find but they are still on Amazon for less than £14 each.
Hi Darren hope your well mate just want to ask how is the COVID affecting your business and also is someone running your business while you are in the Philippines
LOL, is the only way to start this sentence. To quote Clint - Improvise Overcome, Adapt -- I was so close to getting home and the UK gov has just banned incoming from the Philippines again!
Hi Gary I hope all is well I just want to say to you the Harris poll you can't get them
You didn't just say reaming with a nice thick rubber? 😎
Bob Chorba that's the part you took away from this tutorial? Suppressed urges Bob? 😜
Green Pro Clean Ltd Class response from a class act. Actually I have learned more from you than any other on you tube. Keep it coming and Thanks. No such urges I just listen too well sometimes😀
What height does it go
If I recall David I think that pole was 6 meter.
This vid probably caused the 5m Harris pole to sell out.... can't find them anywhere
Surely it would be better to charge a proper price and buy good quality equipment i have extreme pole extreme brush head nd heat do more houses a day and go home not as sore as I did with a cheap pole
You've missed the point a touch Robert - this is not about making an every day pole for regular work. This is about a cheap pole that can be abused on gutter cleans conny roofs etc. I agree with you and do have the Extreme poles too -- but I wouldnt abuse them on gutter cleans I just want to smash out.
Also, some folks need access to cheap solutions that don't have access to the funds for pricy equipment when either starting out, or on the frequency they clean with. And some DIY homeowners, need a cheap option to create their own rather than purchasing expensive equipment
I got all those bits lying about
all right dave? about the same mate, upstairs wfp and downstairs trad, if i had a van i would possibly do more wfp. what about you?
Then you got an easy pole mate! job done!
Electrical tape better I’ve done over 50 of them
Nowhere to be found this pole anymore....😭😭😭
Last place I found them was Amazon.
