Solar charge system for leisure batteries in a window cleaning van

In today's video, I talk about the benefits of having an additional 12v charging system to maintain the health of your water fed pole window cleaning leisure battery.
My van does have a Durite split charge relay system fitted. However, with the local work and the lack of high daily miles in my van, the split charge system will not give you a reliable charge to main your battery.
to add another backup system into my van was rather easy for myself due to my electronics background and didn't take a great deal of work.
I have added a high quality 35 watt mono crystalline solar panel, which I have mounted onto my roof bar using two stainless steel exhaust clamps and the wiring from the panel connect into a Victron Energy 75/10 MPPT charge controller which then takes its output via a 15 amp maxi blade fuse to my leisure battery.
throughout the spring and summer months, my leisure battery is holding a charge, and approximately 12.7 volts will prolong the battery life.
I also have an under bumper mounted 16 amp 230v CeeForm plug, which connects to my 2 way mains voltage consumer unit, and from that, it runs my 10 amp Durite leisure battery charger which is another handy way to charge my van.
