    Hi Steven, I totally agree with you. Im up in kildare and have been doing wfp about 2 years now and just got a brand new system from Xline Systems in the uk. I clean in stages to but it's a real pain (no pun intended lol) in the ass when you are cleaning at 45ft like i was last week don't mind 2 story but at 45ft it's hard work

      @@stevenlee4437 I sure will, be thinking of the WFP for a while now and well i came off the ladders last week so that sealed it for me. Health is more important than climbing ladders, as long as the windows are cleaned & the customers are happy then it its a win win situation. Currently thinking of the WFP for top windows only, whats your thoughts?

    if the windows a cleaned on a 4 week basis that "hidden dirt" should not be there . This is a really great method but I only apply it on my first cleans

    Or you can just wash the top frame and give it a good rinse, wash the glass, rinse, wash the bottom frame, rinse it, wash the bottom glass, rinse and all done. No need to walk back and forth all the time

  • @gregwellhausen5362
    @gregwellhausen5362 8 років тому +4

    This process is fine and dandy when you are eye level with the window, but what about 30+ feet and cutouts or french panes. I have had mine now for about half a year and french panes at 30+ feet are tough to come out perfect (rinsing is the problem for me) do you have any video doing a high rinse?

  • @mikelacey5528
    @mikelacey5528 8 років тому +1

    iv bin using the water fed pole for 9 years now cleaning a lot of commercial work in manchester if my lads cleaned windows like that they would be fired on the spot first of all your brush head is at the wrong angle and secondly it must take you ages to get your job done and last but not least if you clean the top frame and work your way down making sure that it's all clean then rinse all frame and glass together there won't be any issues

    • @stevenlee4437
      @stevenlee4437  8 років тому +5

      Hey mike. I actually dont use that angle when cleaning either. It'd be impossible!
      My whole website mike is how to water fed pole perfect. I'm showing a way to leave a perfect finish. In another video I've mentioned that a 1000 percent perfect job isnt always needed. I understand what you are saying about cleaning the top frame really well and then there'll be no problems, but there are always other factors such as vents, leaking rubbers, and frames with lots of hidden dirt, wooden frames etc.
      So cleaning glass piece by glass piece is the only way to ensure you dont get Dirty draining spotting. Do you have any videos on your methodology?

  • @momomaur5638
    @momomaur5638 6 років тому

    I used this today in a customers home and it came out very well indeed. Thank you. But I came home and tried it on my windows which have those small little vents that pop out the top of window and streams of water dripped down from them, do you just wait a little longer to get the perfect result or what do you do?

  • @stevenlee4437
    @stevenlee4437  8 років тому +1

    Exactly right, as we use pure water it dries away leaving no marks behind 👍

    thanks! I will try this because on my last job I found beads & had to redo them again XD

    • @stevenlee4437
      @stevenlee4437  8 років тому

      The beads are down to your pure water (make double sure you've low tds) picking up dirt somewhere, probably on the frame or seal. It could even be a wearing dirty seal. With this method though I get perfect results. Even if it does mean a bit "to-ing an fro-ing". 👍

  • @titititi9613
    @titititi9613 8 років тому +1

    Hi Steve, I'm new in this. With the wfp you just rinse off the pane and the job is done? Like no need to dry off? Thanks

  • @leedewing3058
    @leedewing3058 2 роки тому

    I agree with Steven on this job definitely, the middle upvc bar can mark glass as can top of window.
    On more normal upvc windows
    1st clean do all frames on all windows then return to start point and do glass
    But this job here is a pig 😆
    I must admit maintenance jobs do whole window and glass together
    I’ve been wfp 17 yrs
    I do get some spots occasionally
    Im my worst critic
    I clean windows and rarely check now
    Average 0-1 callback a year
    Use ubiks 50-50 mix in trigger spray bottle
    Spray on brush and good scrub 1 st clean 👍

    vents are an issue but the only time you should clean a window in stages is when your only doing the glass and not the frame it don't matter if you clean in stages or as 1 unit if you leave dirt then.its gonna drip dirty regardless of you method your just costing your self more time I get a standard 3 bed semi detached house done in about 6 minutes to be exact where in ireland are you based

    • @stevenlee4437
      @stevenlee4437  8 років тому +3

      Based in longford mike 👍
      There can still be issues when you have rows of glass with multiple opening window frames. Zero TDS water is hungry and looking for the tiniest of dirt spec. Like you I'm all about the most efficient way of work. Whether thats in the way the van is organised or the way to walk the hose. It might take me 15% longer doing glass in stages. (For those 100% jobs), simply because frame close lines are an area you cant fully get in and clean and in my experience can cause spotting. We all have our ways 👍

    • @stevenlee4437
      @stevenlee4437  8 років тому

      +Matt M
      You may need to give the area an extra scrub, or what i've done is changed to a slightly stiffer brush on a really badly effected window.
      I use the Gardiner super lite brushes, and keep the stiff bristle brush in the van for those really bad jobs.
      Hope that helps! I'll do a video answering that question!

    I think the advice given is a little bit wrong to do the perfect job you normally clean all the frames of one window then go onto the next window then come back and do the glass and seals I never get any smears at all on my windows. You don't just clean the top half of one window then go to the next then come back to it when it dries you're giving yourself a lot more work it needs to be done in stages and needs to be organised this seems a bit time consuming. but maybe this would help out certain people.. MAYBE..

    How about you show us how to use the system rather than tell us how awesome it is and mimic your moves. seems like an advertisement to me. How much set up time? What about paint or stain on window? If i had this system do i need a hose or my own water container?

    • @stevenlee4437
      @stevenlee4437  7 років тому +2

      Sean Marroquin have you ever had a go with a system. I think if you had then the video might make a bit more sense. We have a podcast- the window cleaning podcast- where we talk a lot more about it. All of us wfp users are completely sold at how great the system is 👍🏻

    • @seanmarroquin8896
      @seanmarroquin8896 7 років тому +3

      Still doesn't answer set up time, take down time, paint and stain on windows. Do you need to use the customers hose or do u need a water storage container? You don't show technique or methods. Still just talking about how good it is. Make a video with the actual cleaning process. i have not used a system like this, hence the reason i wanna see it in action not just hear how good it is.

    the real window cleaning pro knows when or when not to use waterfed. inspect the window first. if it's real bad you have to do it by hand if it's a regular maintenance job then go for it. then inspect later . some windows turn out absolutely perfect. sometimes they don't.

    • @stevenlee4437
      @stevenlee4437  8 років тому +2

      I can't agree with you there John. Perfect clean everytime with the WFP even on real dirty windows. Infact it's far better on really dirty windows as the frames come up all the better...

    • @johnmorton9835
      @johnmorton9835 8 років тому +1

      But if you have scrape paint and stain and hand Polish with steel wool to get the windows 100% that's what you have to do. Trust me I try to use waterfed as much as I can. My customers expect zero specs and spots not just a Shiney window
