    By far the best video you , or anyone, has done on the historical significance of each countries contributions to the conjugate style of training. Gooood stuff.

    Over the years I’ve come to learn that Dr.Mike is a charlatan doesn’t have a clue about how to train properly, and that goes for both strength and hypertrophy training. What he does have going for him is he is pretty entertaining to listen to and knows how to market the hell out of whatever he is selling. I’d love to see a debate between you two.

    Matt honestly apart from Dave Tate, Harvey from conjugate U and yourself who else is knows all this knowledge down to a T. R.I.P Louie, he literally saved my training many years ago after my ACL tear. I just wanna thank you for still putting this information out there. This stuff in my opinion is getting more rare to find especially with each generation that passes by. Ppl kinda tend to go more towards the Linear way of training which in my opinion will lead you to a steel wall of destruction lool. Ppl are just to close minded and set in their ways to give this system a try. I'll say this though, to those that may read this comment, the conjugate system if used properly is the ultimate equalizer in strength and sports. PERIOD!!!. God bless you Matt.

      What do you mean with linear way of training?

    • @andrewsmith5512
      @andrewsmith5512 8 днів тому +1

      @@ddwfw Progressively overloading the same movement over many years with very limited variation. They will get you big and strong fast and while they can be good for beginners building a base if programmed intelligently, the longer you train this way the more likely you are going to have issues with psychological burnout, overuse injuries and even major injuries that can leave you jacked up for life. These programs are also performed most often with absolutely pointless and counterproductive classical periodization models instead of concurrent training models such Conjugate which 99+% of weight trainees should be using.

    Would be pretty neat if Matt & Mike could get on the elite fits pod together, and have a entertaining debate, but both have to be on a ton of gear😂😂 and a lift off at the end.

    In your manuals when you give a RPE on a lift like bamboo bench. Is the RPE based off of your bench max?

    • @WenningStrength
      @WenningStrength  8 днів тому +2

      Based of your rate of perceived exertion

    • @blackparabellum
      @blackparabellum 8 днів тому

      @ so like feet up bench in the power building manual. It’s RPE 9 for 5 reps. That’s 83% of my max, but is it 83% of my feet up max or my bench max.

    • @CSFREERUNNING
      @CSFREERUNNING 8 днів тому

      @blackparabellum RPE 9 is not any percentage of your max. You're judging the weight in the moment, increasing load untill you're working at 9 out of 10.

    • @blackparabellum
      @blackparabellum 7 днів тому

      @ they have RIR and RPE percentage conversion charts now. I personally hate judging the weight in the moment.
