You can’t change your inherited nature. But you can overcome the stuff you choose to overcome. You can transcend yourself but it takes constant effort everyday. Discipline.

    A person who once:
    1. Break promise with you
    2. Misguide you
    3. Cheat on you
    4. Bypass you
    5. Betray you
    6. Backbite you
    7. Steal you
    8. Hide from you
    9. degrade you
    10. Did anything negative to you
Will do it again & again if you forgive him.

Thank you HealthLab and Robert Greene. A lot of what has been said is most certainly true as evidenced by our respective experiences in life but we should never abandon hope for anybody. Never conclude that a person can never be good or is beyond redemption. Nevertheless, Robert's ideas in his book can still provide us very valuable insight in understanding human behavior including ourselves. This serves as a helpful tool to be aware of our negative patterns as well as understand other people's behavior and possibly avoid them. Aside from praying for ourselves that God may transform our hearts and direct our ways, we could also at least pray for our enemies. Let our prayer be against the malice of our enemy that it may die, but that he may live. If your enemy were dead, it might be that you had lost an enemy, but you certainly would not have found a friend. But should his malice die, at one and the same time you will have lost an enemy and found a friend.

Recently I am trying to know myself better and I found out that I have anxious attitude. I am trying to overcome this by positive affirmation and breathing technique but I am struggling again and again. If Anybody had this attitude and already overcome, I would be thankful to listen practical solutions!

    • @HealthLabHub
      @HealthLabHub  7 місяців тому +5

Well you already did the first step! It´s crucial to self reflect and admit to oneself that you have this attitude. Now it´s just a matter of practice & time. And what you should do is, understand where the anxiety is coming from, where are the roots. If you can grab anxiety by it´s roots, you can throw it out the window really easy :) And don´t let failure drag you down, it´s the winners in life that keep on standing up after failing. Be one of them! Hope that was helpful ❤

So does that mean deep down inside me I have all the emotions and qualities of all the individuals who I have spent time. So does this mean that people who are narcissist they may have taken the trait from the ones they met or lived or whom they have constant exposure? Can we use this theorem in defining the stupidity or irrational tendencies of the individuals?
    Seeking urgent reply from you

    • @jacksonblitzkreg9774

Growing up with narcissistic parents I would say that it is true. I myself am very self centred and have very low empathy. It is also true for my brother. I started to identify these traits when I was 17/18 and I had a fascination with researching psychopathy. I started to identify elements in myself that looked a lot like that I was researching. I am definitely not a psychopath, but I had some very similar narcissistic traits. Over the years I’ve also subconsciously done some nasty narcissistic things, but only once I really understood myself was I able to stop behaving in that way. Only recently I truly understood that it all stemmed from my parents. If I didn’t possess my level of self-awareness I think I could have become a very bad person, as I don’t think I am a true narcissist, just that I have been influenced by those kinds of people all my life. Family and friends. This is all from my experience though, I can’t say this would be same for everyone.

@@jimmoefoe1471 I will check that video out later, do you have the link for me ?
I´d say character comes out in certain situations. Most of the time it´s bad and stressful situations that show the real character of a person. And patterns are just our daily life. Everything we do is probably somehow a pattern, every morning routine, what we eat, what we do and how we behave. If your girl mistreated you and treats other people the same, it would be more of a pattern instead of character. Maybe this pattern is a way to protect a part (softness & weakness) of the character. But it´s truly a difficult topic...

Not me. I have a mind of my own, and nothing is going to change that. I check my account daily, which means im intune with myself and don't care what other people think about me. It's not my problem that they're thinking whatever. My problem is that I never lose who I am and my principles, which is the substance of myself.

“Now is the time to get serious about living your ideals. How long can you afford to put off who you really want to be? Your nobler self cannot wait any longer. Put your principles into practice - now. Stop the excuses and the procrastination. This is your life! You aren’t a child anymore. The sooner you set yourself to your spiritual program, the happier you will be. The longer you wait, the more you’ll be vulnerable to mediocrity and feel filled with shame and regret, because you know you are capable of better. From this instant on, vow to stop disappointing yourself. Separate yourself from the mob. Decide to be extraordinary and do what you need to do - now.”

He obviously believes in a person’s ability to change otherwise he wouldn’t make this video. I think the broader point he’s trying to make and I’m not speaking for him or trying to correct you, but maybe the broader point is there’s core aspects to your personality that you can make changes to micro changes to that lead to bigger changes, but most people don’t because it’s too hard. So while it’s possible, most people don’t.
