Everyone's experiences with success, happiness, and contentment are unique, and I believe there's room for all kinds of approaches to life. While some people find peace in simplicity, others are motivated by ambition and personal growth. What matters most is being true to ourselves and finding fulfillment in our own ways-whether that’s through appreciating the little things or striving for bigger dreams. A mind busy with plotting how to increase their profits, that exploits people to get ahead cannot be peaceful and joyful. It's totally okay to want to make lots and lots of money but don't talk about joy, don't talk about a peaceful mind, don't talk about awareness. Life is a trade-off. With lots of money comes great fear of losing it. A fearful mind cannot be a joyful mind. No man on earth is more afraid than Putin or Elon Musk. Mr. Musk has 20 bodyguards. Mr. Musk has followed his dreams, you would argue, but firing 3,000 people (when he bought Twitter) was an act of cruelty. These people had families, babies, mortgages, needed to pay rent, etc. He showed no compassion. Business is ruthless. @@drdailyMD I checked out your channel and I realize why you came into Mr. Greene's defense. You want to BE like all these people you show us. You, too, want more and more subscribers. You, too, would like to influence the world in a positive way. You are an MD so you make at least $120,000. That is enough. If you weren't trying to influence people in a positive way, you would find yourself with yourself and believe me, you escape that as does Mr. Greene. The whole of our culture is escaping the "down." After the excitement of a great accomplishment , comes the inevitable "down". But people, including you, is afraid of the down so your mind gets restless again about a new project. It's not unlike your drug of choice. For me, it was weed. I loved how it made me feel while I was on it, but the "down" which was lack of energy, moodiness, irritability, a sense of being a loser; all that I didn't want so I would smoke some more. You are on your path as I am, I respect that, you are a seeker and that is good but remember that what you are looking for is found in defeat and not in success. I am not trying to belittle you, but truth is the same for all of us. Everything you do is a form of seeking and you must do this, you must show your own self, through pain, frustration and sorrow, that seeking, in the end is futile. When all seeking stops, then something new comes into existence. I was influenced by Alan Watts, J. Krishnamurti , Hubert Benoit and Dr. Suzuki; but it took four decades for me to understand what they were talking about. I hope it will take you a lot less.
