The family interviews are absolutely heartbreaking. I believe he killed so many more. I think most people do but had he been given another stay he wouldn't have revealed any more info. He would have played games. They did the right thinking executing him.

It would be interesting to know who his biological father was and what kind of person he was. His mother never revealed his true identity.

A child can inherit the psyche from his/ her parents. Some people are born serial killers, some people are born criminals. It is true to a great extent. But in most cases, people can easily become a product of their environment.

I love the crowds attitude. Just wish this sorry S.O.B. would never had lived long enough to ever hurt on of our kids. Probably one of the most hated men in American history.

I live close to the prison and a life long friend was an guard on death row and ended up being on his execution team. He said if you wanted to knock Bundy off his high horse you just had to mention Kimberly Leach, he hated being called a pedophile. His execution day was definitely a party around here. The popular morning dj asked people to turn off all electricity at 7 am so they had enough "juice" . Everyone had Bundy BBQs and block parties. Some people have said we were wrong to celebrate but they are usually young and didn't live through the fear

If Ted Bundy truly had even one ounce of remorse, he would have accepted the life without parole deal and he would have given an honest account of who ALL of his victims were, so that their families could have some type of closure. I feel that he never had any remorse for his actions, he only had remorse for getting caught. Ted Bundy could have shown remorse by admitting what he did to survivor Carol DaRonch, instead of having her relive the trauma that he inflicted upon her in a courtroom. Ted Bundy never gave an honest account of his crimes or accepted responsibility for his any actions.

Remorse ? Responsibility/ ownership? He’s a psychopath- he lived it ! Why would you expect any contrition ?!! 🙄

Not to defend someone as evil as Ted Bundy, but I actually think he thought he had arranged for having those details released. Basically, he gave a very detailed account of his crimes to his lawyer, and later he released his lawyer from attorney/client privilege. Personally, I think that was his only indirect way he could basically balance giving the families of all of his victims some level of closure, while still holding on to his insane need to be in control and not be seen to actually confess in public. However, there is one tiny detail he didn't count on. And that detail is that his lawyer still takes the attorney/client privilege very seriously and also perhaps doesn't believe all of the details of the confessions anyway. So although Ted DID give that full confession to his lawyer and DID release his lawyer from attorney/client privilege, unless his lawyer can perhaps one day be convinced that was Ted's intention it is likely we will never get that full confession and the families will never get that closure that they so desperately seek.

That's why law enforcement officials retire to desk jobs after 15-20 years. Nobody wants to experience this kind of brutality for much longer.

What the one man said about Bundy being, "the worst person ever", is a little bias and subjective. While he certainly was NOT a good person, and one wouldn't be inaccurate by using evil in describing him, I can think of others, if we are talking about attrition. Germany had a guy who was pretty wicked...I honestly don't think you could use the word, "worst". They're all absolutely deplorable in their own specific ways. I do think they should have kept him alive longer to help Quantico and the behavioral science unit, as well as assisting in capturing other killers, like he did with green river.

I just wanted to say way to go Carol. You encountered true evil in its purest form and you didn't beg for mercy. You were smart enough to know that he wanted to kill you so you fought back and you prevailed. You got bigger balls than some men I know. Bundy had a gun didn't he? I'm glad you got to live your life.

It may not be palatable to those who weren’t as closely affected but at the same time I can absolutely understand the need for catharsis. I think the reporter chose that word perfectly.

Ted was completely out of control at this point. NONE of the Florida murders were anything like the killings he did everywhere else. (Very methodical and stealth, whereas these killings were maniacal, even spree killing like.) The 2 years in jail made him crazier and more vicious.

I’ve noticed that in every single interview Mrs. Bundy makes it clear that whatever ‘happened’ to Ted to make him this way, happened after he left home. Ted himself pointed this out-that she seemed more concerned with her reputation as a mother than anything else. Bundy also attributed her coldness to being part of his upbringing…and demise.

It's so sad to think some of these victims died out of kindness, I think there was one victim named Julie Cunningham he tricked into thinking he was on crutches and she tried to help him and ended up being murdered... 😥

Because he made people rethink how they viewed violent offenders. He was regarded by many as handsome (which I don’t agree with but oh well), charismatic, and intelligent. He was a law student, and had had many girlfriends. Also, he was in multiple states, and murdered many victims in each state. To their knowledge at the time, this hadn’t happened before. At the scenes he left very little evidence, and so detectives were stumped. He used some now well known ruses of pretending to be injured or needing help from women. Overall a very unique and scary case, especially for that time.

"Arrested for driving erratically," yeah, that was the legal excuse the police officer used to pull him over. It certainly wasn't the reason the police officer was paying close attention to him looking for any excuse to pull him over because he was acting so suspiciously.
It also does blow my mind how Louise Bundy stuck to her story about Ted's childhood being normal even up to the end. I suppose it was a different time, but she could have just decided to stay quiet and not make any comment rather than going out of her way to repeat the same, unquestioned lie over and over again.

The words of a serial killer : “ I’m happy with myself and who I am “ ( when not found guilty) and “ god will forgive me “. Early on ;” I’m innocent . I’m sick of people looking at me like I’m weird - I’m not “ (😳)
They really are delusional aren’t they. Bundy took lying and delusion to a different level though.

Why is that murderers and other despicable monsters always seem to find GOD, or become born again Christians ✝️ after the damage has been done!! This has always fascinated me. I find it very odd that BUNDY and other Monsters all of a sudden become religious when they are incarcerated, or ready to go to the death chamber. I don't buy any of this CRAP. BUNDY showed no remorse until it was ready to FRY HIS ASS!!! My heart ❤ broke 💔 watching the pain Laura Aimes mom 😢 GOD will comfort her ,and all he victims 👪 families!!!

Bundy lied & tried 2 act like he was sorry towards the end! But only cause he was still trying 2 delay his exucution...he was truly the most evil, sick, scary serial killer of all....& wht made him so scary was cause he actually was smart, charming, & somewhat a handsome man, but really was a monster...
