I have the game on my PS5 and on Xbox Series X. I love playing on both systems. The Dual Sense controller makes all of the difference and makes the PS5 version better.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it! The timing will change based on what view you are in and based on pitch placement. In strike zone 1 view, you want to swing right before the ball hits the screen, in strike zone 2 and 3 right as the ball is going to be over the plate. If the pitch is inside, you will have to swing slightly early to get perfect or good timing. If the pitch is outside, you will have to swing slightly later to get good or perfect timing. I hope this helps! Work on timing for middle, inside, and outside pitches in the custom practice and one day muscle memory/hand eye coordination will kick in and you will get it down. Main thing is to keep having fun!
Hey man, I forgot what the 'grey' area is when batting, I know red is hot zones and blue is cold but what is grey again? Just need a refresher. Thanks for your help
The inner pci is basically the players contact. The outer pci is based on the players vision attribute. Now the size of the inner pci is not only based on the hitters contact, but also on some of the pitchers stats such as H/9, and also on any other quirks/perks the players have.
This will all depend on how you are hitting on all star difficulty in practice. If you play against cpu on veteran or rookie and struggle I would probably still practice on all star but play on veteran until you are able to beat the cpu consistently. If you are winning consistently on all star I would keep to all star for a while and then practice on hall of fame when all star gets too easy.
Has anyone noticed that the contact of the bat hitting the ball sounds way crappier this year ? Like every hit sounds the same, even the perfect contact hits don't really sound too much different. Compared to last year when there was a solid "crack" of the bat. I'm playing on the PS4 so maybe its different on the PS5 ? What are your guys thoughts, anyone else have this issue ?
This is based on both your timing and pci placement. So if you want to pull an inside pitch you would want to swing earlier and vice versa with pushing and outside pitch. Now in regards to PCI placement, pay attention to the three middle diamonds or circles. For more line drives you will want to contact the middle of the ball between the bottom and middle diamond. For more home runs or sack flys you will want to contact the center of the ball with the upper/middle diamond. It takes a lot of time and practice, but you will start to learn how to use timing and pci placement to hit the ball where you want. I hope this helps! I highly recommend the custom practice mode!

On The cloud in Xbox Game Pass is anyone having problems getting your swing buttons to work? I'm also having a problems with pitching. I use meter and the the meter goes back, and then you click on the speed of the throw, but you the buttons are unresponsive when you want to hit the line for accuracy. Classic works good, but id rather have meter for pitching
I will rarely use a power swings due to how much smaller it makes your PCI, and you don't get a huge power bonus. On lower difficulties, I will use Power swing more, but at All Star or higher I will hit normal swings 99 percent of the time. I get much better results with normal swings, and even more home runs with normal swings. I get way too many fly balls with power swings.
@@GamerAbility ok thank you but it’s so hard for me for some reason to hit like a home run I always hit it far but they catch it I basically all the time hit good and perfect but I only had one home run
I recommend a normal swing greater than 95% of the time. Your PCI will be bigger and you can get better contact with the ball. I only will use power swings when I am feeling really confident against a certain pitcher or against a certain pitch, because it makes the PCI so small and you have to have perfect contact. I actually hit more home runs with normal swings than power swings, and get way more pop outs with power swings. Hope this helps!
@@skullclxps5616 I use contact swings rarely. I usually use contact swings when batting with my pitchers with low hitting stats. Or say I have 0 or 1 outs and a runner on thirds, I will sometimes do a contact swing to get a ground ball to advance the runner. But for the large majority, normal swings are the way to go.

how do you get it to where you have to move the stick where the ball is to hit it.It just makes me press x and it hits and its kinda boring. How do I fix this?
Best way to practice PCI placement is to go into custom practice and pick a fastball in one zone at a time and work on moving pci to that one zone and then move on to the next zone. Work on all zones individually and then add them all in. Then work on different pitches after that. It takes a lot of practice! I am still learning and working everyday on PCI placement, but gets better each day. Keep working at it and main thing is to have fun!
It takes a whole lot of practice, I recommend spending many many hours in custom practice. With continued practice one day it will click. And always remember, even on a good week the great players still get out 7 out of 10 at bats.
If you want to swing for more power/home runs you will get best results with good timing combined with top inner diamond contacting the ball (this is the inner PCI power point). So basically instead of hitting the ball dead center of the PCI go just slightly (very slightly) lower to increase the launch angle. I spend a lot of time in custom practice working on PCI placement and timing. Keep working at it and that timing will keep improving!
It is a really hard game, but after many many hours of custom practice and just playing, one day muscle memory will kick in and it will finally click. You could try directional hitting and see if you have better results, and directional hitting is good to practice timing. And then go back to zone later if you want. Also lower the difficulty and work on pitch recognition and timing at slower pitch speeds. It is also good to remember that even the best hitters average around .275 - .300, which means that even on a good week you get out 7 or more out of 10 at bats. Keep grinding! I highly recommend going in to custom practice and just work on timing first without moving the pci with all pitch types (in the middle zone) then progress to different zones with moving pci if you are using zone. Hope this helps!
I recommend practicing each pitch in each zone in custom practice. Start with fastballs in the middle zone and only work on timing not even moving pci. Next pick another zone and work on moving pci and your timing. Spend a lot of time in custom practice and it will finally click! Keep working at it, you got this!
The yellow hitting thing is over powered. There’s no reason why guys should be crushing change ups low and away and a curve ball nearly in the dirt. It’s unrealistic
If you are on zone hitting, foul balls are likely do to the PCI oval being to far under the ball or being way to early or late on swinging at the pitch. You want to work on focusing getting the center of your PCI (the inner diamonds) on the ball. If you want to swing for more power/home runs will you will get best results with good timing combined with top inner diamond contacting the ball. It takes time and a lot of repetitions of seeing different pitches. But you want to really focus your attention on the ball right when the picture releases and how the ball is moving out of the pitchers hand. It is easiest to see the spin rate with strike zone 1 and 2 camera views. It is not easy, but will come with time and practice.
What kind of robot super humans are you that you can see fackin spin on these balls? YOU CANNOT SEE THE SPIN MAN. The issue with this game IS the PCI in its current format. The PCI should grow as the hitter gets ahead in the count. A 3-0 count should give a full massive PCI that covers the entire strike zone. So any pitch in the zone with get perfect contact. I've been up 3-0 and got a sweet perfect pitch, I made a good swing for timing but because my PCI was a bit low, I popped the ball up. Thats ridiculous and isnt' realistic. I just wish they made hitting way WAY more realistic, which as of now means much easier. Maybe the CPU shouldn't throw many balls out of the zone? Not sure, but this game is super simple to pitch and super impossible to hit. Strange.......
